Now try Mike Dean's Oberheim Obx and tell me 😜

if he lets me...but anyway jay Z, the Weeknd and others profit from that analog touch he provides. Makes a difference to plugins no matter what people say and sometimes the vintage stuff is incomparable unique sounding (also have some old arps/ems etc...)

Thanks! so encouraging to get such response. Maybe I do some more Bach for example with the Waldorf quantum. But Wendy was epic those days - timeless Moog Modular sound and hard work with layered Tapemachine recording.

What do you need the M for if you have the 3rd Wave?
@arakaneuman
@arakaneuman 3 месяца назад
@@RayyMusik 3rd wave isnt multitimral and I think the M has its own sound. I absolutely loved my old microwave wich I used back in the 90s together with a MIDI retrofitted PPG wave 2.2, Prophet VS and an Osc Oscar. I think I can get about the same gritty metallic vibe and fonky "analogue" sounds with the 3rd wave and the Waldorf M today, ☺️.

the more I play it the more I think its my best pure analog synth - plus you get the vintage magic and history plus its a Tom Oberheim, Marcus Ryle and (RIP) Dave Smith tribute to buy it. But you should program it yourself and maybe add a nice analog effect here and there. It's easy - lots of sweetspots. Like always - check it out intensively before buying if its really what you need or want - it is still a lot of money but IMO worth it.
@Donetur
@Donetur 2 месяца назад
@@studentsmusicI really want to have one. It is a bit out of my range at the moment, here in my country it costs like usd6200, but in the future it may be possible to get it. I need to save some money tho, maybe I could afford the desktop version but I think having the keyboard is nicer. I own a Prophet 10 rev 4 which I love, and I think this would be a great partner for my synth and a great addition to my studio :) actually I have pending compositions/ideas to develop waiting for this synth.

I bought an electric blue, the output module and the CV module. Never use the modules because the internal options are very good and honestly the CV inputs on the Voyager can only handle pedal or very slow LFO control signals. Kinda disappointing as it isn't a very useful semimodular. Nor does it have the nasally tone of the MiniMoog. It is however ALL MINE.

Yes, it’s basic cv but for some tricks ok. Primarily a players instrument. The Matrirach is a cv monster so I normally use that one below eurorack.
