Late to the party, but for anybody watching this playthrough. You do not refill your meeple pool back up to 10 after you removed them for standing up. You choose 10 meeples at the start of your turn and that's all the meeples you get for the round.
The reason it isn't a living card game is because that is a copy-righted term by fantasy flight games. I'm very happy the game keeps growing. I enjoy it and want more. The new sets have really creative and cool things in them. MCU Guardians set has Ego, which is one of the coolest and most interesting masterminds in the game yet. It really sounds like, if you're thinking the game got too big, maybe stop buying, or just buy select sets?
Could you confirm whether the unmatched figure can fit on the small trays or the long tray? Additionally, should it be positioned vertically or horizontally on the long tray?

I dont think you interpreted events correctly. You dont flip on round 3 the event of round 3. You can see what happens in 2 rounds up, so by round 3 you see the event coming up on round 5, giving you 2 rounds to prepare. I like that quite a bit as it gives a big variability from game to game
Hello, approx how many hours raspberry pi will run with one power bank of your 20000 mah battery.? Actually I have long hours flight so preparing for that.
If I recall correctly, the runtime of this build got me about 6 hours at mostly idle, with occasional "ssh, run a config change, then back to idle". If things were going at full tilt, I'd imagine this build could squeeze our 3 hours or so. Now days, I'd highly recommend a different powerbank as it's better at dealing with the power demands of the pi 4, and could probably handle the Pi5 too. A couple rules notes: - The helicopter patients can ONLY be treated in an operating room. So, you need to make sure you include that as one of the special modules if playing with helicopters. - Helipads can't be built on the ground floor.
Loving your playthroughs of these modules! Not many good Clinic videos out there, and the first I have seen some of these modules on video. Any chance you will do a video for Extension 6? (And/or maybe some scenarios from the Campaign Book?)

Before we got the Extensions and the Campaign book, we had tried the Blood Transfusion a couple times and well as the Fire Extinguishers. We couldn't wrap our heads around the theme of fire extinguisher and I saw on a thread someone thought that calling them aquariums made far more sense, so much that I found the old, blue cubes from Pandemic: Legacy Season 1 and swapped those into the game as aquariums. We loved Aquariums. I and another in our group liked Blood transfusion while the other 2 found it meh. But since the Campaign book, we've been doing the buildings campaign - we love the basements!
Thank you for showing. I own a WLAN DMX Send Device and Wireless DMX Receivers. With this you send easily DMX Data from PC or any DMX-Controller to the WLAN Send Device, and the Device sends the Data to every Light which have a WLAN Receiver. I don't understand why nobody can make a Device like that for MIDI transfer.
I like the video. It would be great if you unboxed games and showed some components when discussing them. Not the complete unboxing but for example when you talk about UFS, how alien ships come down depending on the number of pips, and that you can take them out on specific spaces, it would be great if you show it on the board. Or maybe you were afraid that the video would be too long?
As someone who has full collections of Fantasy Flight Games' cooperative LCGs (Lord of the Rings, Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions) I feel your pain! Lord of the Rings isn't producing any new content now (only repackaging) and I've decided to stop buying Arkham Horror because it's getting more difficult to play "true-solo" (one investigator), but I'm get getting new MC expansion on release day! I've looked at Marvel Legendary several times and always end up saying "But I have Marvel Champions, I don't ALSO need Legendary". I think it's one of those things where if I'd been into Legendary first I'd be saying the opposite ("But have I Legendary, I don't ALSO need Champions"). I enjoy Deckbuilders in general and enjoy Legendary Encounters Firefly, but like with you and the DC Deckbuilder, I want to avoid diving into another game which is essentially a Living Card Game (although technically not because LCG is trademarked lol). If you had to choose a "great experience" with Legendary (Civil War, X-Men, Secret Invasion, etc.) what would it be, and what would I need to purchase in addition to the Core Set to get that to the table?
Agreed! It's such a perfect fit that the silos appear to have been made to fit it exactly! I wouldn't be supprised if that box size was some kind of "average standard box size" or something among the boardgame publishing world
Nice setup. I'm late to the video, but to solve ur issue of the lid fully opening, you could use some fishing line of a set length. String it between the midway of the lid and midway of the case.
Thanks for the Playthrough. Have the game on pre-order, can't wait to give it a try. I suspect I'll fall victim to a number of bad decisions along the way too. I noticed you played with randomised allies from the start - other videos mention to use only the 'Jack' as allies for the first few plays - I'll be doing that for sure to help I think.
Great review! I'm looking at the flow chart and the *only* thing that's missing (it's a really tiny thing) is that, when defending against rebellion or invasion, the Commander of the region is *obligated* to exhaust at least as many forces as are required to defend against the attack, even if it's hopeless. You can't keep any in reserve in hopes of defending against a subsequent, weaker attack.

Correct! The joy of chaining things together is in constant battle with my lack of interest in the theme. Sadly that lead to moments of me feeling more of a "Ah, neat! I got to do this thing that let me do that thing", rather than the more desired and more imersive "My builders made enough progress on our defenses to encourage my citie's merchants to expand their markets b/c they feel safer from enemy raids!" My own personal lack of interest in them brings about a feeling of "Eh, why bother going through the motions?". Hadrian's Wall is still a solid game that I recomnend to my friends, it's just not going to top any of my lists any time soon :s
Sadly that is not an option the last time I checked. I had hoped with Rode introducing the "Podmic USB's" feature of sending audio to the Rode via USBC meant thay the Rode Wireless Go 2's Transmitter could do the same, but that doesn't work at this time. Fingers crossed Rode adds that feature in the future as that would be super useful
Ironically I mathed out paying just under $150 for all of the above minus 5th extension but adding in the COVID extension through local friend getting rid of their copy + OLGS deal-of-the-days. Still waiting for some way to store it all in 2 boxes before proceeding though. Thanks for the review!
Ah, nice! Yea, 150 for the Base Game + the 5 extensions sounds like the ideal price point. I could see the proce bumping up to 175 if it also included the C19 and Biohazard modules too. Regarding Storage, I was successful in getting all of Extensions 1-5 into one box after consolidating all of the pieces in 5-6 bags. I used the Campaign Book's "Thematic Campaign" categories as a way to group the modules into similar groups as that made sense for me. It was a chaotic tetris of cardboard and bags, bit I got it to fit [somehow]. Now days I just store all of the extension stuff in two boxes as that make it easier to actually find stuff. I also use my "Manifest" that I posted on BGG to help simplify the process of finding all of the pieces needed for a particular module. It's great for maintaining sanity since there are 50+ modules to sift through 🫠 Thank you so much for watching!
This is brilliant. I just bought everything for Clinic and played my first game last night (solo). What is the most modules you've played with at once?
Oh nice! Yes, I'm acually just getting back round to doing a few more playthroughs of this game myself :D The most modules that I've played with at once would have to be one of the 14 expansions in my playthrough of "The 2nd Extension's" content. That extension has 14 modules if I'm not mistaken. Hope these videos have helped in navigating the 50+ modules that Clinc has to offer. Lots of variety, but so much to go through 😵💫!
I thought you were going to take your time exploring the other game, and you're suddenly dropping 5 videos all at once! Floriferous and Delicious aren't by Sobel because I think she was too busy (Maybe with all those other games :D) - not that I'm complaining about the new artist, whose artwork and style fit these games very well. I think the "nature" theme is becoming much more common now - new ones are coming out all the time.
Ah, lol, yes, these videos were livestreamed over the past 2 weeks. I just kept not publishing them within the day or 2 of them being recorded. Finally found a block of time to timestamp and post them yesterday, and just posted the two playthroughs for Calico and Verdant. Regarding tbe artist, yes, I realized that Beth didn't do the art for Delicious and Floriferous while I was adding in the video description. I've added a correction in the "Klingon" language to highlight this. It's nice that the art was similar enough that it fooled me, but it's important to give credit to Clémentine Campardou for their artwork too!
Thanks for playing! The sixth scoring card is meant to be used in its own, instead of the others. It's a variant for simplified "family game" scoring. The deserts and oceans are prairies and rivers :) I think Verdant maybe hasn't been played enough by people to be talked about. Or maybe it wasn't that popular...? I know some people have played the free online version a lot.
Ah, that scoring card makes way more sense! Also, from my preliminary feeling on Verdant, I'm leaning towards the "It's not as fun of a game", but I will do a playthorough & review of it eventually to chat about it sometime in the near future. Thanks for the feedback ^_^!
This the original solo mode that came with the first few printings. Later editions include the AAA solo mode by Alexis Allard, which is more competitive and gives you a score to beat. (It used to be sold separately as a promo.) Basically, the third card you don't choose goes to the opponent, and at the end of the game, they score for each kind of symbol they have, based on values on their character card. (Fences have act a bit differently, and score based on their distance from other fences in the opponent's deck) I recommend trying it. It's easy to mock-up if you want to try it - you just need to reference the values on one of the solo character cards. The same solo system has been adapted to the other games in the series.
Ah, that sounds awesome! Having an additional puzzle layer would be cool to shake thibgs up a bit. I'll look-up a newer rule book and try it out. Thanks for letting me know! Sidenote, I guess this confirms that my copy of Welcome To... is ancient xD
@@CulBluVlogs I also have an ancient copy :). I think it took a year or so for the solo mode to appear as a purchasable promo, and another year until it was integrated into the main product
