Welcome to Fans Of Games, the brainchild of Alex, a guy with many different interests!
This channel has 3 main focuses of which the majority of videos will be based on: fans (the air moving kind), gaming (mostly Nintendo/Mario), and laundry appliances (including demonstrations and other informational pieces about them). But Fans Of Games is open ended, meaning that there will be times where videos that don’t necessarily fit into any of these themes make their way into the catalog. Again, Fans Of Games is my brainchild, so anything I find fascinating or cool has a chance of becoming a Fans Of Games video.
Fans Of Games has grown so much in just its first five years of existence and is now home to series like “Fan Demonstrations,” “Public Fan Sightings,” “Vs.,” and “The Best of (video games)” among others!
I only hope you enjoy everything Fans Of Games has to offer and maybe find some of it as interesting as I do. Stay cool, everybody!
1:52 Older LG dryers (and some Kenmore LG dryers) had that steam feeder drawer, that had to be filled with tap water via through the very fine mesh screen. But in more recent years, that steam feeder drawer was replaced with the standard water line. The LG 8100 dryer (9 cu. Ft.) was the final LG dryer to have that steam feeder.
Customer service aee so not helpful. Usually ita all outside the US they are though to read a manuscript and they are allowed to think. Well considering how much money the company is saving to outsource CS to the Philippines or south America for a 10th of the cost
😮😮😮Yeah the top loader we purchased had a leaks ..The water actully suxed out in the middle of the wash ! It was the 1st ever top loader in my life ! My honset thought s stick to front loader washing machine s ! I had Lg 6kg front that i gave to my brother and well that washer is now 18 years old ,works 100%%%% like its a new one!! But im really glad i forced the retailer s to give me a refund for the top loader 8kg .. Im back to Lg and loving the Lg direct drive 7kg 🎉! At least it is not washing machine that you have to keep baby sitting .
Do you find the samsung flex wash to be a reliable washer being a front and top loader or is double trouble with problems being best of both ? I seen some models that are sold overseas that we do not get in South Africa like the Lg washtower.. We however do get the LG think Q washer and dryer and a samsung like the lg think q .. washer and dryer !!! I bought bekco ( defy) top loader 8kg auto and under warrenty nothing but problems ,2 repairs and even got sent a new unit !! The new unit was worse it didnt even want to make the washing motions .. So the retailer gave us a credit and we paid in more cash , then got the LG direct Drive 7kg .. Soo very happy ;) with it
I have this machine. The revving of the pump happens when it runs dry so the pump motor turns faster with no water to slow it down. Also when I use the normal cycle, it doesn't matter which spin speed I choose, it always spin on high, even though the manual says all spin speeds are available on the normal cycle. I bought mine at Best Buy and they advertise it as 1300 rpm.
I have not tried any other setting s on my LG😂😅LOL!!! I mainly use 30 cold quick wash for everything and i find it washes everything so very clean !!! I got the LG 7kg direct Drive Front loader !!! To be honset if the clothes are not heavlly soiled in my years of washing clothes.. I would say the 30 quick is 100%% fine !!!
@@lizamariemannen7339 I do not, sorry. The bearings on my machine never went bad when I had it so I never had a need to replace them, but I’m sure there’s videos out there from other channels on how to do that.
Longevity spin speed... I've never heard that....I think my duet maxes out at 1000 RPM...I almost always use high spin...that's probably what medium would be with your washer... I'm not sure
My duet... I forget the model #... from 2005...at the time there were 3 models available... the BOL didn't have a built in heater... the middle model did... so that's the one I got. Interestingly, I went years without knowing mine had a hidden clean washer cycle that you activated by pressing a sequence of buttons... and it does this SAME thing...So I posted it on a laundry forum... and some had the same duets, but different models... and it did not work with theirs...for whatever reason it only worked with the mid model...I hardly EVER use it because I always forget the squenece... it's like no spin, low spin, extra rinse 3 times and softer signal or something like that... I got my manuel out and it's actually IN the manual too... crazy I didn't know it for the longest time
I bought top loader auto ..I had it 9 months and still under 3 year warrenty.. errors and E1 and checked the pump and outlet pipes ( this was South Afican model defy 8kg * ( beko brands !! Then i got sent new unit 😢Straight out the box the new unit was a lot worse actully 😂!! Just yr issue sounds the same i had on top loader auto almost !!!! I got credit and paid in more money and got the LG Direct drive 7kg front auto.. I am much happier with the LG direct Drive ;)🎉
I really like the blue color in the dispenser. I honestly can't understand why anyone would take a top loader of a front loader (take away that fact that they don't have a choice) such as space or renting where it's supplied for them, etc.... I'm talking about people that could have either one... but end up getting a top loader...I think even the worst front loader on the market is probably better than most any top loader
This is one of those cycles I have... but I RARELY use....but just knowing that it's there if you need it is what I like most about it... In almost 20 years... I bet I've used mine less than 10 times total
I think it depends on the king comforter... some are lager. For example... One king comforter I couldn't even think about getting in my duet... which is 3.8 cu ft if I remember correctly....but the king comforter I have now isn't nearly as puffy... and I can wash it in there with no issues....and it gets clean... so with this larger drum on this LG... I could totally wash my king comforter easily... it would probably have room to spare...It's so nice to have a washer you can get pretty much everything you own that needs washed in there. But if it won't fit I'm not gonna stuff it in there to make it fit...cuz I know it won't get clean
It's really crazy how little laundry detergent you have to use... even when following the instructions on the bottle... The bottle of Purex I have ... I have to use a freaking flash light each time because the lines are the same color as the cap and almost invisible...It says fill to line 1 for normal soil.. which is what I do most of the time... and that's a crazy small amount of detergent... I wonder as I'm doing it how many people actually don't even bother to read and just put whatever they want in there... My duet front loader just won't die... It's almost 20 years old. when/if it goes... I'm definitely getting an LG with turbo wash front loader... but I'm not holding my breath that it will last as long as my Duet did... I don't really like the new whirlpool front loaders ... It's really slim pickings in the washer world...The only 4 I would consider is GE front loader...the LG with turbo wash...an Electrolux front loader ... I would like a SQ front loader but that's like $2300 so.
@@One-Day-After-Another I’d imagine most people don’t bother reading the labels. Truthfully, I don’t either. I just eyeball it every time and go off the little lines in the LG’s detergent compartment (I fill it to the minimum line every time). I know you don’t have to use a lot, so I just put roughly 2-3 tablespoons worth each time and haven’t had any issues. I’m glad to hear your duet is still going strong! Those are by far my favorite machines. People seem to have mixed experiences with them though, I mean they were among the first American engineered front loaders as we know them today. In terms of finding a replacement eventually, I would only ever consider LG or Speed Queen. The price of the Speed Queen is difficult to swallow but the durability is supposedly unmatched. Otherwise I’d go with the LG, very reputable brand and has all the great features like TurboWash.
@@FansOfGames Yea... I remember in 2005 when I bought my duet I was told I'd be LUCKY to get 7 years out of it... even back then people say the same things as they do now about "modern" appliances. Honestly though...Watching the LG do it's things... the only thing I don't like are the interim spins seem slow compared to my duet's interim spins...but everything else looks better actually...it looks like it uses MORE water in the rinses than even my duet does...They need to make that spray rinse longer... it's not long enough... but that's OK... I'm pretty sure it will be my next washer when/if my duet ever dies... but I think it might go a few more years honestly
Heres to hoping that it does! I do agree that the spray rinses should be longer, but at least it does a spray rinse during the final spin. And I can speak from experience with both my current lg and a Kenmore Elite HE4t (basically the same machine as a 2005 duet) that the lg’s spins are on par. The best thing to do would be to get the matching dryer because I find that the lg dryer almost always perfectly dries each load out of the washer, so I’m assuming it was designed with the typical wetness of a load out of its matching lg washer in mind.
@@FansOfGames Gotcha... Unfortunately, I'm a fan of standard whirlpool dryers..I have the plain white basic whirlpool dryer with 3 knobs I bought new in 2018..trial and error i've gotten used to where to put the auto dry and 99% of the time it gets it right...I'm sure LG makes good dryers too...but the more simple the better for me... like my next fridge.. I want the most elaborate one but in reality... I'm getting the basic top freezer with no ice maker...just because I know it will likely be less potential for something to malfunction
Only because i win every minigame that is skill based. I feel theres alot of times you have all the coins, but none of the stars. Winning big duels. Chance where they trade you their money. Some maps make your coins more useful than others i feel.
can u please summarize - how many minutes was the wash cycle and how many rinses were there - 2 full rinses or 1 spray rinse + 1 normal rinse or 3 rinses ?
@@nidhitomar5544 I don’t remember exactly how long the wash cycle was, I’m guessing about 25 minutes? Also it was 2 full rinses with spray rinses during the intermediate and final spins.
The steam is caused by the internal heating element that compensates the wash water temp to the set temp. Usually warm is 40c or 100f for the Americans as they don't understand the Celsius scale
