It depends on the laser and the camera. Could you use it like they do in the movies. I would say no unless you could set the lasers up on tripods and train them on the cameras then do your thing.
Not if you brace it on a Tree stump V like my neighbor did to mine on my driveway fried it to a crisp or use a EMP generator gun out of a disposable camera they show you on RU-vid how to make one

I understand you're concerns. But when you dig into the details, the only thing that happened was the owner never changed the factory password. Anyone knowing this password could get in. It's not Rings fault, its has been the owners fault each time. I cannot beleive I'm defending Ring because I have trashed them for years. But there is a point when you have to give credit for success when its due. Ring dominates the residential market, you have to give them their due.
You have to admit when you're wrong....and I was wrong about them. They are still incredibly vulnerable compared to an active deterrence camera, but that does not seem to be a market factor. It took a long time for me on this one. But they do perform much better than expected. The feed back I'm hearing is Ring is good and Nest is the best. Has anyone had experience with both? If so please post.
@@BackstreetCameras For some strange reason I haven't gotten any notifications for your videos in a very long time and I miss them so I have some catching up to do. The two cameras I use are a Lorex and an Amcrest - both are basically the same camera and are made by Danua, Lorex's parent company. The reason that I choose those is because there is no subscription fees for full functionality, they both have human recognition and they are both 5MP. with very good image quality. I feed them into my NVR so even if someone damaged or stole the camera the recording is still on my NVR which is hidden in the house.
Thanks for the video. Lots of good tips and I learned a few things. I think you're overly paranoid about cross-talk. Wires crossing at 90 degrees is not a problem. Wires running parallel or less than 90 degrees to each other will potentially cause issues. Being conservative isn't usually bad - but don' t run up a huge bill or give yourself an ulcer to avoid one 90 degree crossing. People can relax on avoiding a jack at the NVR, too. Go visit a data-center some time. They put millions of dollars on the line every day with connectors that you're avoiding. These are digital signals - not analog or RF.
Our moto "get it right the first time". Short cuts usually end up taking the longest. We are not here to provide short cuts. Anyone can cross the wires if they want but if you start having strange unreliable video...remember to check your wires...
Just get a ball cap hat with IR buds equipped to the bill. Turn it on to block your face with interference, but it is invisible to the naked eye so nobody would know. There is a video on here with someone who built one.
Great video thank you ! I have an issue, and do not know what to do. The location where I want to install my security cameras only has a 8 foot off the ground soffit. The other soffits are 9 feet off the ground. I live in a Ranch style house. I am concerned that someone can grab a pail or chair off the porch and steal or damage my security camera's. I believe that the camera's should be up in the air about 12 feet. Not sure how to accomplish this? Security camera mounting arms are not long enough to accommodate the mounting if I try to attach a security camera up a little toward the peak of the house and extend out toward the soffit in a straight line. Any help would be appreciated.
Def use a metal casing. That last vid needed at least a second one that wasn’t at in a vulnerable position near an accessible corner Edit: I love how high it gets installed ect what you own a home and the budget it’s best to get this!
