Day in the life of an Ubereats and doordash bike delivery hustler. Serving Los Angeles area. I'm an Ubereats full scholarship recipient at ASU. I graduated on May of 2023 with a total tuition of $32,000 all paid for by Uber eats . Thank you for checking my channel.

I may have asked you this before, how many miles can you get on that ? my market not great, I want to try another , the only issue is im not sure how far I could get with 1 battery.
It can last the whole day. My battery size is 52v21ah or total of 1092 watts. So if I use 250watts of energy it can last about 4 hours. If I pedal it can go about 75 miles to 100. If I don't about 40 miles. You can check out everything I used in the description page. Good luck
So do you think the reward/tier thing matter on Ubereats? I've always thought it doesn't matter. I'm stuck on green. I do DD and UE at the same time. I have platinum on DD, and I get a lot of orders on that. But rarely get anything on UE. Quite a few times I was picking up an order for DD, and I met some UE drivers. They said they only do UE, and I saw them picking up 2 or 3 orders from the restaurant all on UE app. While I was online the whole damn time in the parking lot with UE. I didn't get anything. One of them showed me that he is Diamond with 98% AR. So this brings me to believe maybe AR and reward/tier thing matter on UE as well! Unfortunately I work only at night, and I only get 1 point per delivery at night with UE. It is SO hard to reach Gold at night. And I also have to keep up with DD platinum...
Great question by the way. I did a comparison from being green for both UE and DD vs gold on both and the result is night and day. Definitely go for gold for UE. My rating now is 100% customer rating and 96% acceptance rate. When I was green with 100% customer rating, I still get orders but it is like 1 order per hour, but now I can get 2-4. Anyway it is easier for bikes because you can accept every order since UE and DD gives us the short distance orders. Good luck out there and stay safe ✌️
Take a good B12 supplement for the fatigue you're feeling..I do my deliveries on bike also and after a busy shift I tend to feel drained the next day ,B12 really picks me up though
Try to get UE pro level. I motived marked improvement with my orders. Keep on trying. Also this is not the end game, UE offers free $80,000 dollars tax free totally free. Good luck bro and stay safe out there 👊
Yes, my wait time is down to less than 10 minutes when I have both the apps open. The other 2 bikers that I ride with also have 100% customer rating and at least gold and above.
I have a drinking game. Every time James says "Shibuya Crosswalk", take a shot of tequila. Usually I'm lying unconscious on the floor before the end of the video.🙃🙃
Yeah but did Uber give you more orders because of gold status, or because it was cool and misty weather and more people ordered?😜I guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out. Btw, I hope you're right that Uber status does make a difference. I'm almost at Platinum. Will let you know if I notice any change once I achieve it.
Also, I forgot to add that you need to be gold or better for both UE and DD. Both are needed to get more orders. Stay safe bro, and see you in the next video 👊
I know that gold status gets you order priority on Doordash, but I don't think for Ubereats it works the same way. I think it's just a rewards program. Anyway, nice vid. Catches the Santa Monica vibe very well.👍
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I would request for a refund for a cold food as well. I have a 100% customer rating deliver on time, sanitize my hands, and deliver my order hot.
I don't recommend active Multi-apping, because it can lead to slow delivery, cold food and bad customer experience. I did a tutorial on Multi-apping and I am confident in my skills, but my priority is customer service and safety.
It's all public record, and last name is not shown. If you have a first and last name, you can obtain everyone's address, work, and cell phone numbers.
I installed it myself. It is easy. It comes with tools to install it. You need a bottom bracket remover and bike tools. A bike mechanic can do it for you.
They (UE, DD) already have safeguards in place for people who don't deliver orders the right way by the implementation of customer rating and delivery time. I still have 100% rating and deliver my orders on time. I will get mad as well if my orders arrive late, cold and destroyed like you always experience. Hopefully you'll get a pro delivery person next time.
Yup! As soon as I see my food coming on a bike I already put in a ticket to remove the tip and get ready to message in all the issues for a refund\credit.
I learnt long ago (the hard way 😄) to be sceptical of the pinpoints on the Doordash map, and to double check the actual street address first. Fortunately most customers will add in the delivery notes that the map is wrong and to ignore it, but not always.
I don't want cold food spilled all over... I disabled bike delivery on my Uber Eats and I am SO F'N GRATEFUL! Hot food delivery, is not for wabbly, slow-ass bikes!
Bikers are faster in a big city. I think what happen in your case is people doing Multi-apping. Your food will be cold if you don't place a tip as well. All my customer gives me a 100% rating because I deliver fast and food is always hot. I also sanitize my hands frequently.
Never turn off any app do multiapp better pay is not worth marry with one app. In santa Monica sometimes orders going near Santa Monica is trash area summer was good now is dead cold and boring no tourist no money 😐
I do Multi-apping before and I can do it well, but I decided to not promote it because it can lower my acceptance rate and my customers deserve a better service. I look at the long term rather than the immediate results. Santa Monica is bad right now as you mentioned. Thank you for your comment.
i got deactiavted from doordash cuz i wasnt taking every cheap order $5 10 miles n it lowered my completion rate fast n lost my account and now they dont want to activate me back prolly cuz alot of drivers lol
Think of all the time you wasted and money you missed out on by not scheduling Doordash all those nights😭😭 Hopefully this will motivate you to remember to do so!! 💪💥
