I was in the front row center left with my 9 year old daughter for this entire performance, (she is in her faux leopard jacket in the other videos just to the bottom left). She is 17 now and still talks about it. Just an incredible performance by an amazing talent all for a food donation nonetheless.
Incredibly talented! You see kids everywhere who can move their fingers virtuosically, but this is professional musicality! (I’m a professional violinist and teacher.) He did look a lot older than 13, but some kids do grow earlier.
Simply excellent playing! 13 years old! Displays a marvelously advanced musical maturity! Thank you for the exposure. Thoroughly enjoyed. Love to hear him with the orchestra.
Better by far than the Perlman I just listened to. Good bow hold. Listen to the great violinists recorded from 1900-1930's for tone, phrasing, articulation, etc. Learn from them. Lose the shoulder rest. Bravo.
My daughter and I were at this show seated in the front left; you might see our heads we were so close. Amazing talent. We see him a lot; as he performs with Sierra Strings here in Reno.
