I've lived around the TC for 54 years. I currently live on the East side of St Paul. Not the nicest neighborhood, but not terrible. St Paul has lots of old houses at reasonable prices. Cheaper than Minneapolis. We bought our 107 year old house in 2019 for $155k. Granted, we tore out the clawfoot tub to put in a walk in shower. Added an A/C unit and had to pave the driveway. And there isn't much closet space to speak of. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE living near downtown St Paul
Just an observation...curious that both downstairs "bedrooms" were staged as offices/dens, especially with the bathroom on the first floor. Nonetheless, beautifully staged and the kitchen is to die for, as well as all that beautiful main floor woodwork. Nicely done, Travis.
LOL clearly you aren't from anywhere near the Twin Cities. Unlike the rest of the country, we moved on from George Floyd. After we threw Chauvin in jail. That was FOUR years ago, btw. 19 fortune 500 companies. So terrible!! LOLOL
I lived there for 15 years. But not since 2016. Hope Lake Street and Snelling/University have recovered. Yes, I hear it's gotten better again in Minneapolis. I'm glad to hear it!
@@edwindevera7549 And we KNOW the 'bad thing' that happened here recently. It only happened because of what Chauvin did while we all sat and watched. I was HERE and saw the rising plume of smoke from the 3rd precinct the morning after. Other than that one incident, nothing else 'bad' has happened here. Minneapolis is still having a bit of an identity crisis downtown.
Well, sorry for my original remark then. I'm glad life has carried on. Despite the "times we live in" or whatever....Hopefully people can still enjoy a nice walk around Lake Harriet or Como.
I grew up in Mac-Groveland, attended Groveland Park Elementary as a kid, romped on the St.Thomas campus, and played along the river bluffs with my siblings. My parents owned their Goodrich Avenue home for 52 years. Wonderful neighborhood with terrific neighbors, lots of trees, and great amenities close by.
I have lived here for 70 years. it's a nice area not much crime if any. like they said it's like a small town. but still one of the best areas in saint paul.
