Muito obrigado pela série eu cresci assistindo à série e assisto até hoje aqui no Brasil guardei os vídeos gravados muito legal minha série favorita todos estão de parabéns os personagens
I remember this happening, when I was at school. The presenter did not mention the bombs that were found in the area. The casting basin was used to make Mulberry Harbours during the second world war. As a result, the Germans found it to be a legitimate target, and also a continuation from the bombing run of Liverpool. The same area now ,is where the Marina is, and the shape of the outline is still there. I remember being driven across the flyover, before the tunnel opened, and it was quicker to walk, than driving across from Llandudno Junction to Conwy.
It’s unfortunate this is the only Catchphrase episode Richard has, as I’d like to have seen *all* these viewers’ catchphrases (as well as what episodes each one was from).
I was system engineer on this great project. I used to love driving to work. I developed most if not all of the technical software used by Travers Morgan and this software was used for Hz and Ve Alignment, Least Squares Calculation to ensure the tunnel ends were square, Volume and Floatation metrics software. I also used my Hx/Ve Alignment software to build a mobile app (Psion organiser) to monitor the floating out and sinking of the tunnel elements. Such an interesting job and great bunch of people and the experience has helped me build the software engineering career I've enjoyed ever since.
This was actually filmed in 1995. Great upload though, and nice to see the original unedited broadcast. I’ve always wondered what Challenge cut out in their repeats it was the Viewer’s Catchphrase competition. and repeats the super catchphrase tell about dream holiday once again Upload Fiona And Jim Episode
I seriously doubt "traffic jams" were a serious problem there dozens of years before the "tunnel" was "born" much less hundreds and thousands? British bombast and utter bullshit at its "best".
I lived in Colwyn Bay, before, and while they were building the A55. It would take over an hour, to drive from one end of Colwyn Bay, to the other, especially in the Summer, and school holidays. The Flyover between Llandudno Junction, and Conwy was another area where the traffic just came to a standstill. Next to the Castle, there is a Pelican Crossing, and the alternative route into Conwy, was to drive to Tal Y Cavn, across the bridge, up to the next village, and turn right, to Conwy. A total distance of about twenty miles. I know that I was at school when all of this happened, but Colwyn Bay is much quieter, Conwy is quieter, and safer, and all of this has bought more holiday makers into the area.
I will share with you truth and life. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). God loves you. But God Is holy and the punishment for sin is Hell. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). He died on the cross and rose again on the third day for everyone. Repent, believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him into your heart and follow Him.
thank you so much for posting this wonderful series I'm from Brazil and I watched it when I was a child I really wanted to see it dubbed into Portuguese I don't speak English but just watching it I feel very happy I loved it so much
Btw I don’t like the ending - it’s too sad! Why couldn’t Arrietty tell George where they were going? It’s a bit of a kick to him considering how much he helped them!
Thanks for uploading an original Roy Walker broadcast of Catchphrase, now I know that the sudden cuts were actually the competition bits edited out on the Challenge repeats.😊 I had a feeling that it was the competition bits....
