Here to help with your coloured pencil portraits sharing my tips and tricks which I have tried and tested over the years with drawing dogs.
The focus will be on how to draw different dog breeds and features of a dog, but there will be the occassional wildlife piece to watch and learn from too. I'll be posting 'how to' videos, voice over videos and some time lapses.
Loving watching your tutorials borh here and Instagram. Can I ask how do you do your initial drawings? Are they traced from the reference drawing or are they freehand? Keep doing this beautiful work.

I dont understand how you dont have 28,000 subscribers instead of 2,800. There are many RU-vidrs who draw realisfic animals in colored pencils and if you showed me a bunch of finished drawings and asked me to identify which artist drew which portrait, I couldn't, they are all equally as good. You're skill level is as highly skilled as anyone out there. The difference is you create full tutorials, from start to finish, in real time, on RU-vid, for free. Nobody else out there is doing that. Nobody. Some of them will throw us a bone and do one, maybe two a year, but every video you put up is part of a ssries enabling people to follow along and create incredible finished drawings. For me personaly, I have learned so much from you that I have gained the confidence I lacked to do my own drawings where I dont need a video tin order to be able fo select the right colors and use the techniques to draw portraits of my own choosing like my own dogs. Thank you for doing what you do, I can say fhat I appreciate it more than words can express.

🙂 Thank you for sharing your technique with us. I definitely need more colors, I've tried making due for a long time, but it's hard for me to get the right mix throughout large areas unless I do them all at once.
