IN 2021 it will be charming if you have 1.5 to 2 million dollars to buy a house away from the 17 highway.Otherwise yes charming. Indeed. I did not find Santana Row for 6 years of living near by charming at all. Los Gatos was my escape from San Jose and Santana Row for years and years. Too a lesser degree Campbell was too. Having too many random people walking thru my neighborhood who did not even live there finally did me in as with seeing the same weirdo people for years. Like the lady who walks around Santana Park and Santana row all day dressed like a mummy. Or an Uber Driver who lives near by and give us ride once but now we saw this guy all the time and just plan weird. Or the feeling of the walls closing in as out every windows you see condo's and more condos. And just to get the mail you walk by 20 doorways with neighbors who only maybe talked to us 15 times in 6 years total? Welcome to San Jose California. What's that? You were born in the USA? You may not fit in well at all in San Jose California or Silicon Valley because it is a mis-mash of all sorts of cultures which results in no one trusting anyone when you are out and about. And that brings us back to the Jewel of Los Gatos. How long Los Gatos can remain Los Gatos before it becomes Cupertino is anyone's guess.
I’m a Van Noy my Family is the Bakers. My Family ran Sullivan’s Insurance. Remember 7/11 and Bunny Cuts. Remember the park and the Clock. We used to skate at Los Gatos high. I lived off Jackson Rd. The house sold for 4 million in 2013 it’s worth 12 million today!
We lived in Campbell for 25 years--very near to Westmont High School. Only retirement and the attraction of family took us away from our beloved Ashlock Court up to Western Oregon. Though we enjoy our new life on the eastern shore of the Willamette River about fifteen miles south of Portland, we still remember with gratitude our quarter century in the Orchard City. the quality of life there is something special.
PROBABLY WAY MORE EXPENSIVE TO AND LOTS OF DEMOCRATS, HOMELESS PPL., LIBERALS, BIDEN AND OBAMA SUPPORTERS, ILLEGAL ALIENS, TRUMP HATERS, AND WACKADOODLE FRUIT LOOPS AND THAT IS WHAT MOST OF CALIFORNIA AND ESPECIALLY THE PLACES ALONG THE COAST HAVE TURNED INTO. I THINK THEY SHOULD DECLARE THEMSELVES THEIR OWN COUNTRY AND CALL THEMSELVES WHAT THEY REALLY ARE WHICH IS PLUM NUTS AND CRAZY, NOBODY WHO IS MODERATE OR CONSERVATIVE CAN SURVIVE IN THIS CRAZY STATE.
Ah the Fr self obsession and internal conflict of "profit" and the modern day R/E?? it is true they used to work for free but now they pay themselves first and then the profit is not so great any more or the moral obligations, I guess? to the consumers.
Actually, the real Japantown in South Bay area is located at 280/Saratoga Ave where Mitsuwa Marketplace is at. There are lots of local Japanese. Probably, there are some local Japanese in Cupertino as well. That is the real Japantown in my opinion. Honestly, I don't think there are local Japanese in San Jose Japantown. Shape looks like it, but I guess not. Recently, which local Japanese visit there. I haven't seen any local Japanese. I've only seen Americans who love Japan so much.
I was born in Los Gatos. Sure it’s pretty but you need your head examined if you are willing to pay what property goes for now. Oh also, Vasona LOOKS nice but it is packed on weekends, no parking, the water smells like rotten moss and best of all... there is goose shit ALL over, EVERY square inch of lawn, throughout entire park. Wouldn’t move back if I inherited a billion.
I consider Los Gatos as my home-town, since I've lived there most of my life of 69 years. I've retired to the cheaper Sierra Nevada, and miss those wonderful sunny days in Los Gatos, a special, and definitely *charming* place! Yeah, it's true that a lot of rich people live in L.G., but many whom I've met are just real people
