The Value a Broker Can Add to a Shipper: 1. Knowing the Ins & Outs of LTL & help them coordinate this.. * Brokers know how to handle the claim process. Very common for shipments to get damaged in LTL transit. Can help them get their money back

“Hey you know I’m really interested in helping you guys move some freight. I think there are some opportunities where I can save you some money on your lanes. Do you by any chance have the directors contact for the transportation manager so I don’t have to borrow you anymore.”

So what would you recommend as a brand new broker starting with a very large broker company? I will need to build my pipeline etc.

Your mindset and tactics are sincerely appreciated. Thank u for sharing the details. I look forward to watch your content,Mr Uribe. Can I ask if you can speak about learning rate trends nationwide? When a shipper does ask for a quote on a lane, we have minutes to respond, where do we find a base amount quickly? 🙏🏼

How does cross-docking work? As a carrier, how do we know which is ok for cross-docking and which is not? How do you make sure that all pallets fit in the truck? When you said 12 pallets, what type of truck was it referred to? Because I know that in a 53 ft Dry Van, 22 pallets are considered FTL. Thanks in advance!
@drwlpwasright5132
@drwlpwasright5132 День назад
12 pallets would be a head load on a 28' (pup) trailer because the driver may be asked to pick up 2 or 3 more on the way in back to the terminal. The dock workers will remove the last pick ups and the company will send out the 12 pallets on the 28' trailer by itself to the consignee.

Awesome video on sales calls! Cold emailing can be just as effective as a phone call. Give DoYouMail a shot for your cold emailing needs. I have been using it for a while now and it is been stellar. Unlimited email sending from multiple domains is a game-changer. Plus, the automatic SPF DKIM DMARC setup saves tons of hassle. The cost is pretty decent at $40/month. It is super scalable, which helps as my business grows. Would love to see a video featuring DoYouMail!

Freight broker calls are cool, but consider cold emailing, too. DoYouMail is what I use. It is been my faithful companion for a few months now. Integration with CSV files makes importing contacts a breeze. Dedicated IPs ensure higher email deliverability and scalability. $40/month is a small price for high delivery and reputation. Would love to see DoYouMail featured in one of your videos!

Just binge-watched your freight broker videos! If cold email is more up your alley, give FilterBounce a whirl. I have had it for about half a year. It is excellent for keeping your bounce rate under 1%, which is crucial. The real-time verification API is super efficient, especially when dealing with tricky domains. It is very affordable at just $10/month and even includes 300 free verifications monthly. It is a real bang for your buck!

The unlimited email sending and easy email ID creation were time-savers for my campaigns. Its high delivery and reputation improved my response rates noticeably. Plus, CSV integration for my contacts is seamless. Definitely worth the $40/month subscription.

This has helped a lot. I left a sales job I was very successful at for my new logistics manager position I started 3 days ago. I’ve been struggling on my cold calls which was my last worry as I was amazing at my last job cold calling. This really stressed me out and I couldn’t figure out what wrong. This video and the cold call video has really changed my mindset.

In regards to your answer below, why not lumber, steel and produce? Thank you. Great Videos, Clear and Concise. Hey Aaron thank you for the comment. So I have a few more videos on this but there is a lot more to getting shippers than just jumping on the internet as you said. It's a whole process of 1. targeting the right shippers with the right kind of freight. No lumber steel and produce like everyone else teaches. 2. Positioning and branding yourself as a partner and advisor...not just a broker looking to make a quick buck 3. Educating yourself on the niches you are targeting. 4. Strategically reaching out and following up in a way that is persistent but not annoying. Linkedin is just a tool but if your mind isn't right and there is no method backing your actions it is a recipe for failure. I have another video on my channel that shows a little more into my thought process of finding shippers let me know if you want me to send it to you.
@freightskills
@freightskills Месяц назад
Lumber steel and produce are perpetuated across RU-vid by all the other conveniently retired from freight, pundits hence they are some of the most competitive industries to start with from zero. They also have poor margins and there is a lot of potential for issues in the refrigerated/produce niche.

U just delivered a load the other day but you never helped with frieght? Isn't delivering a load moving frieght? Wouldn't the client think that's strange if you said this ?
@freightskills
@freightskills Месяц назад
Not quite, delivering at a location doesn't mean that that location specifically had anything to do with the freight. there could be a number of situations where you can deliver freight somewhere and that location have nothing to do with its arrangement.

The company im working with to negotiate as an agent . They want me to bring 3 signed contracts with shippers before they will give me an offer what do you think about this ?
@freightskills
@freightskills 2 месяца назад
That’s like them asking you for a left handed coffee mug. A shipper is not going to give a signed contract to an independent agent with no brokerage behind them. Owner sounds clueless. Either train your agents that you bring in “green” or don’t offer a program with impossible metrics. Wish I could tag them here.

I’m 50% finished with your course on Skool. I’m loving your content. I set up my LLC/EIN, and now waiting on my filing for brokerage. Before starting this I also have a trucking company with 6 trucks, and I got a customer that’s willing to work with me hauling steel rebar, coils, as a new broker. I’m going to be asking questions in the group once I’m all set up! Again thanks for all the information you’re putting out there, it’s really helping out!
