Not sure about that but i think it’s extra. On the site bmw-motorrad.gr its extra 410€ for the shifting assist on the base model (11.690€)

Η αισθηση που μου εδωσε ο boxer κινητηρας σε οποιοδηποτε μοντελο ειναι οτι αισθανεται καλυτερα σε ηπιες ηρεμες επιταχυνσεις με αλλαγες γυρω στις 5000 στροφες. Εξω απο αυτο το φασμα και σε αγρια επιταχυνση ειδικα 1η 2α κλωτσαει αρκετα δινοντας την αισθηση οτι κακομεταχειριζεσαι το μοτερ.

Μηχανή κομμένη και ραμμένη στα αμερικανικά γούστα: Μεγάλος κυβισμός με χαμηλή ιπποδύναμη, τεράστιο μεταξόνιο, "τεμπελικη" θέση οδήγησης, ότι πρέπει για τα αμερικάνικα Highways. Περιορισμένο το αγοραστικό κοινό εδω. Όπως πάντα, εξαιρετική παρουσίαση....

Σ ευχαριστω Θα ελεγα οτι εχει χρηση και στην Ελλαδα καθως ο κινητηρας εχει ομαλη λειτουργια Δυστυχως το βαρος ειναι που το καταδικαζει λιγο σε πιο περιορισμενο κοινο. Προσωπικα θα ηθελα να ειχα την βασικη εκδοση customised για την βολτα μου ή light εκδρομες εφοσων μπορουσα να ανταπεξελθω στο κοστος αγορας και συντηρησης.

Αν ειχε τελικο yoshi τοτε ειναι το μηχανακι που οδηγησα και γω πριν μερικες μερες.ΜΙλαμε για τρελο εργαλειο.Δεν εχω λογια.Το μοτερ ειναι πόιημα.Το μονο που δεν μου αρεσε ειναι οτι το τιμονι δεν κοβει τοσο πολυ οταν εισαι σταματημενος. Κατα ταλλα απιστευτο εργαλειο.Μεχρι τα 150-160 που το εδωσα δεν εκανε κιχ.

Ειναι η μηχανη που ειχαν διαθεσιμη για test ride στην suzuki πρεβεδουρακης Θα συμφωνησω οτι το μοτερ ειναι απο τα καλυτερα. Γενικα θεωρω οτι η suzuki σε ολα τα μοτερ της ειναι πολυ επιτυχιμενη. Προσωπικα με απογοητευει λιγο στην εμφανιση. Στο συγκεκριμενο οπως και στην εκδοση gx τα φωτα μπρος πισω , για μενα , δεν δενουν με την υπολοιπη μοτοσυκλετα.

@@easyrider_skg H ιδια μηχανη ειναι .Πηγαινει απο αντιπροσωπια σε αντιπροσωπια σε καθε πολη για test ride. Μπορω να πω οτι την λατρεψα. Εμενα το look μου αρεσε απιστευτα. Μονο το κωλοφαναρο θα μπορουσε να ειναι κατι καλυτερο αλλο οκ.

Just got a 2024 790 Adventure (I only put 350 miles) and everything about the bike is great other than the heat coming from the engine which at certain points is unbearable! Even wearing proper gear including boots! I am not sure how people deal with this specially in the summer and hot areas. I already contacted the dealer to trade in. To me this is a deal breaker. Also, since the engine heat is very evident, I am surprised the dealer does not know anything about it... There are few videos of the newer 790 so far but I am sure this is going to emerge as an issue pretty soon.

I have the same model but closer to 1000 miles now and whilst the heat is of course there, I don't at all find it a problem. I've ridden it on all kinds of road and plenty off-road. I suppose the ambient temps matter a lot. I'd maybe have more issues if I lived in Texas or some similar climate.

As I mentioned on the video in all KTMs i experienced a lot of heat on my legs especially the right leg i think,surprisingly more on the smaller engines 790-890-990. Some say that the catalytic converter and the emissions limits causes this problem but i m not sure about that since I didn’t felt that much heat on the other bikes i v tested from other brands. My guess is that KTM builds bikes for performance and not so much for the average daily easy rider. If staying in places with temperatures over 30-35 celcius/85-95 f than riding the bike especially for longer rides could be an issue. This is more suitable for summer in northern countries.

Not so good. It’s not that bad but definitely needs some kind of spoiler on top or a different windscreen like the mra vario. Had some wind noise on the helmet (1.85cm) but don’t remember any buffeting or turbulence. Maybe for shorter riders it will be fine. I think i also had some wind on my shoulders and arms but I can’t remember for sure

However, I'm having trouble finding it available in Turkey. Do you know of any place where I might be able to purchase it?

The specific screen on this bike is stock from ktm. I suggest one from MRA vario version. Its working great on my v strom

The vario system gives you more flexibility so you can adjust it easily for lower or higher speeds but it’s ugly as hell The d7716st looks better but it will give you hard time for short rides especially in town in the summer or if you go off road Personally i own two windscreens one mra vario for the summer and one big from kappa for longer trips and the winter

I bought a 2024 ktm 790 rolling the dice hoping I would get a good one. I knew going in many have had issues. I told myself well my kawasaki has had some issues. I absolutely love the KTM. Excellent balanced bike, 59mpg, great ergonomics. The bike just fits me. Ive put 2k miles on it and the countershaft seal is leaking and the rear shock is blown. Bike is sitting up at the dealer waiting on KTM approval. Dealer said KTM wont replace the shock, it will have to be sent to WP and rebuilt. Already thinking about selling.

Sorry to hear about that. As an employee of KTM said once KTM build bikes for performance not reliability. Unfortunately you can’t have both..

On the gt version i felt some vibrations on higher rpms which got my hands tired but not on this one. It’s a pleasure to ride machine. Same as the bmw xr 2024 though. I think comparing the engines the two bikes are very close

Didn’t have any heat problems with any bmw. F800gs i think its a very good bike especially for the base price. KTM have better set up(suspension,brakes) and more thrilling engine but bmw is close enough. Also i think it will be more reliable to. Mabe you can check some japanese rivals to. My vstrom 650 is bulletproof. You can check mu f800gs video on my channel

That heat from the engine is the catalytic converter. I think the heat is what ruined my rear shock.

I had a 2011 F800 GS and it was nothing compared to my new 2024 t90 Adv. I have ridden many bikes expect KTMs and never felt this level of heat before.

Σ ευχαριστω Ξεχασα να αναφερω την καταναλωση η οποια ηταν γυρω στα 5.5 λιτρα μεση τιμη για την βολτα που εκανα. Θεωρω με νορμαλ καθημερινη οδηγηση μπορει να πεσει και κατω απο 5 Ο κινητηρας νομιζω ειναι ιδιος με του 900 αλλα υποβαθμισμένος σε δυναμη

Hi, how does the case hold up from a year's perspective? Could you say something about its durability? How about the paint, does it hold up or start to peel? And what about waterproofing? After almost a year would you recommend this case?

I’m very pleased with this case. It really save me. I can fit almost all my equipment inside. Never had an issue. Sometimes its not that easy to open it with one hand (the mechanism stuck). I had no issues with water. A rust screw inside it was my fault i had some bottle water inside that spilled out although for 500€ I can’t accept that. Wash it many times with pressure gun and ride it in the rain many times had no leaks. The paint is like brand new. Of course i take good care of it ( wash it often,dont leave it in the sun etc). Didn’t felt any weight change on the bike or on the way it handles. Didn’t have aerodynamic issues. I highly recommend this case except from the price! Για παπουτσια μηχανης ειναι πολυ ανετα απο την πρωτη μερα. Βοηθαει πολυ το κοψιμο που εχουν πισω και δεν ενοχλει τον αχιλλειο. Δεν εχουν σχεδιαστει προφανως για να περπατας με τις ωρες αλλα θα μπορουσαν χωρις να ειναι και η καλυτερη ιδεα. Πιστευω θα σε καλυψουν στην καθημερινοτητα σου. Σκεψου ισως και την αδιαβροχη εκδοση μιας και στην καλοκαιρινη που εχω εγω δεν νιωθω ιδιαιτερο αερισμο εκτος κι αν γυρισω το ποδι πλαγια προς τα εξω.

It didn’t felt clunky to me. It’s not an xr of course but it’s fine for what it is. First gear is a bit hard and clunky to engage i think in most motorcycles, my vstrom 650 does that to. Quickshifter worked fine especially in hard acceleration only in low rpms it wasn’t so smooth. Once or twice it was unwilling to downshift and needed a bit more effort but that also happened on the gx also on my v strom. Other than that i think suzuki makes great engines,gear boxes and frames. The looks on the other hand these days is not that great maybe with the exception of hayabusa.

Δυστυχως δεν το οδηγησα ακομη. Θεωρω παντως οτι θυμιζει τις παλιες καλες εποχες των πρωτων vstrom 650. Ομορφη μηχανη με ποιοτητα που ξεχωριζει και αρκετη τεχνολογια οχι τοση ομως ωστε να ξεφευγει σε τιμη , αρκετα μεγαλη για να την φορτωσεις και να ταξιδεψεις και αρκετα μικρη ωστε να ειναι ευελικτη και χρηστικη στην καθημερινοτητα. Η εξατμιση θα προτιμουσα να ηταν λιγο πιο διακριτικη και σιγουρα θα χρειαστει πιο ψηλη ζελατινα. Ελπιζω συντομα να ειναι διαθεσιμη για δοκιμη για να αποκτησω καλυτερη αποψη!

For me it’s true to size. I usually wear large and the large fits me just right. It is a slim fit though by design. If you size up to be more loose than the protections might not fit well.

The suggestion from the dealer was to use clutch on first and second. When I didn’t use it was kicking a lot when accelerating hard. The quickshifter it’s more smooth on smooth accelerations. I said that in the video.

@@easyrider_skg Great video and I agree. I have 2022 R 1250 GS 40th Anniversary. 1st and 2nd gear is clunky to use shift assist. If in 3, 4, 5 and 6th in the upper RPM's the shifting is smoother. My apologies was not trying to criticize. Thanks for taking the time to share a video on the new R 1300 GS!

No worries. I m not an expert i just give my opinion and feeling after i test ride some bikes as a daily non experienced rider to anybody that is interested . It’s not easy to understand lots after a 20-30 minutes ride so some times i might be wrong on what i am saying. Thanks for your nice comments!

Great review, precise and too the point: I think the cockpit comment is reflecting road use as in the dirt you want to see more. How did you find the engine noise, there have been a few comments on this. 2. I noted tire noise when under 80k, what tires were you running? 3.What was the thing you disliked (apart from the cockpit/radar)

Actually my goal is to give my first impressions on the bikes i test but thank you for your nice comments! Probably the bmw designed the bike for both on and off use and probably this way was a very good solution and very effective as it turned out. I would prefer if there was a second option more on road oriented like the 900gs. Who knows maybe an M version it’s on the way. When you hear the engine running in idle it might sound a bit noisy but when you ride it it’s so smooth and quiet. The tyre noise it might enhanced by the position of my microphone because it’s attached at the base of my jacket. I am not sure about the brand but it was the road version not the knobby ones. If i must point a dislike about the bike maybe i will say that it’s not so exciting to ride as for example the 1000xr.But probably never meant to be. It feels way better than the 1250 but out of all these bikes i ride so far i still like the vibrations and the sound of my Vstrom 650 better. The only bike that put a big smile on my face for days so far was the xr. But if i had the money now probably i was gonna buy the 1300gs unless ktm come up with some more interesting super adventure.

It might sounds clunky but I don’t believe it is. For me it was very precise and easy to use both upshift and downshift. I only missed once from 5th to 6th when used the quickshifter. Of course it’s not an xr1000 but it is absolutely fine for what it is.

BMW recommends not going over a certain rpm during its break-in period of 300km. Do you know what the specifics are on that? This is why I don’t like to buy a bike that has been test driven from brand new…

Yea, the flashing light on the TFT indicated he was over the recommended RPM. It's 5 or 6,000. Probably better than just cruising on the hwy like some people do during breakin.

Actually the bike was almost brand new if i m not mistaken. I think barely had first oil change. I forgot about that thanks for mentioning! Maybe thats why felt a bit uncomfortable on hard acceleration. The salesman mention that it will be better in time.

Thanks for this. Did the shifter feel as clunky as it sounds in this video? Also suspension looks firm for road mode, did this bike have the sports suspension by chance?

That assumption may be a bit mis-leading, he may have had the mapping set to Road but he may have applied Dynamic damping which would override the base algorithm. You can adjust both damping setting two steps softer and two steps stiffer than standard in the Settings/Assist menu. When I did my test ride I covered 130 miles and felt that both Road and Dynamic could have been set a bit stiffer, but it’s all down to personal choice. The ‘Sports Suspension’ does change the dampings, it’s a more off-road biased longer travel setup, unlike the Sports Brakes, which are more road biased. BMWs naming conventions don’t seem to follow standard logic, perhaps things get lost in translation 🤭

The shifter felt great to me. Shifting is flawless and pleasure to use for my taste. Way better than the 1250. It had the electronically adjustable suspension but i dont think it was sport suspension. It felt way more firm than the 1250 even in road mode. The 1250 in road mode was floating on the road, felt unsafe. It was good for me only in dynamic. But the 1300 is different. It’s like the road mode on the 1300 was the dynamic mode on the 1250. On 21.33 on the video i have switched to dynamic mode but I didn’t notice much of a difference. But this was a test ride for about 30 minutes. I barely cover about 50 km. Didn’t have time to analyse and feel in details

I think the set up was standard. At least I wasn’t changed anything other than switch from road mode to dynamic at about 21.33 on the video.

I explained in the video if you watch it. I was riding in -8c about 17-18 fahrenheit for about 10-15 min before I felt the need to turn on the heated grips. In subzero temperatures (below 30) I recommend heated grips for longer rides over 15-20 minutes

το τρανσαλπ δεν εχει δυναμη χαμηλα ,εχει καποιους κραδασμους,και δεν εχει ρυθμισεις στις αναρτησεις.το vstrom ειναι ποιο βαρυ,και ογκωδες και δεν εχει καλη προστασια απτον αερα.το τενερε ειναι λιγο αδυναμο και πολυ εντουραδικο και καπως αβολο για ταξιδια.aprilia και ktm μακρια καλυτερα.το tiger ανεβαινουμε σε τιμη και εχω διαβασει οτι βγαζουν ζεστη οι αεραγωγοι.δε ξερω τι να κανω.μια ερωτηση για το vstrom,παρατηρησες να βγαζει πολυ ζεστη ο κινητηρας?σε σημειο που το καλοκαιρι να μην αντεχεται ας πουμε.

Θα συμφωνησω οτι το τρανσαλπ ειναι αδυναμο χαμηλα και εχει πολυ ενοχλητικους κραδασμους στο τιμονι στις 4000 στροφες οπου θα περνας και την περισσοτερη ωρα πανω στην μηχανη. Το τενερε κατα την αποψη μου ειναι καθαρα για σκληροπυρηνικους σπαρτιατικο μηχανακι. Aprilia δεν την εμπιστευομαι για τοσα χρηματα. KTM ειναι πολυ καλα μηχανακια απολαυστικη οδηγηση και ασφαλεια και σιγουρια (δεν εχω νιωσει πιο ασφαλης σε αλλη μηχανη ειδικα το 1290 περνουσε πανω απο λακουβες σαν να μην υπαρχουν). Δυστυχως ακριβες στην αγορα και συντηρηση και δεν εχουν καλη φημη αξιοπιστιας. Το tiger δεν το εχω οδηγησει ειναι πολυ πιο ομορφο απ ολα αλλα δεν θα μπορουσα να ζησω με την αθλια οθονη του και νομιζω στην βασικη εκδοση ειναι φτωχο σε εξοπλισμο αν δεν κανω λαθος. Για μενα η suzuki φτιαχνει εξαιρετικους κινητηρες αλλα το χαλαει πολυ στην εμφανιση. Με ενοχλει που εξαφανιζουν το «ταμπλο» απο τις μηχανες τελευταια φτιαχνοντας ουσιαστικα γυμνα μηχανακια με πολλα πλαστικα για προστασια απο τον ανεμο. Δεν μου φανηκε βαρυ στην οδηγηση ισα ισα το αντιθετο. Πολυ καλη θεση οδηγησης οπως και το τρανσαλπ αλλα πολυ πιο ελαστικος κινητηρας χωρις κραδασμους με ικανοποιητικη δυναμη. Την προστασια μπορεις να την φτιαξεις με πιο μεγαλη ζελατινα. Θεωρω οτι η πιο σοφη επιλογη ειναι το vstrom αν μπορεις να ξεπερασεις την εμφανιση. Αξιοπιστο αλεξισφαιρο μοτερ μεχρι τωρα που δεν πιστευω να αλλαξει η αξιοπιστια του,σε παει παντου αρκετα ανετα,το εχεις για καθε μερα αλλα και για τον γυρο του κοσμου. Δεν θα το ελεγα ογκωδες. Ζεστη δεν παρατηρησα και το οδηγησα σε ζεστη μερα με κινηση. Σιγουρα παντως δεν θα σε συγκινησει οπως ενα ktm. Προσωπικα αυτη την στιγμη δεν υπαρχει καποια μηχανη στην αγορα που να με συγκινησε τοσο πολυ ωστε να εμπαινα στην διαδικασια να αλλαξω το vstrom που εχω εκτος ισως απο το gt της suzuki που ομως ειναι πολυ ασχημο και το 1000xr της bmw που ειναι πολυ ακριβο. Αν το budget σου ειναι γυρω στα 15.000€ θα σου ελεγα να ριξεις μια ματια και στο f900gs ή και στο f800gs της bmw. Επισης αν δεν κανω λαθος η yamaha ετοιμαζει καινουριο tenere

Ποια ήταν η μεση κατανάλωση στην διαδρομή αυτή; Νοιώθεις κραδασμούς στις πολύ χαμηλές στροφές; Αυτή την στιγμή είναι top σε πωλήσεις !

Δεν θυμαμαι να ενιωσα ασχημους κραδασμους. Το μοτερ ειναι απολαυστικο να το ακους και να το αισθανεσαι οπως και στο africa twin. Η καταναλωση νομιζω γυρω στα 4.5 με 5 λιτρα αν καταλαβα καλα απο ενα κοντινο πλανο που εκανα στο display. Ειναι πολυ καλο μηχανακι. Το μονο προβλημα ειναι οτι στην τιμη του εχεις πολυ καλυτερες επιλογες εκτος και αν προσανατολιζεσαι σε αγορα scooter οποτε ισως ειναι μια πολυ καλη επιλογη για την κατηγορια!
