I’m Cuban.. Good to hear that you enjoyed Camagüey. The oldest city is Baracoa! You were trying to remember that in the video. Habana is the 2nd oldest and then 3rd is Camagüey! 👌
Been there at Brisa's Santa Lucia 7 times. Loved it and I love the Cuban people. I haven't been there since 2012. Brings back good memories. I haven't been to Coco Beach. I went to a different beach and they had the same thing; chicken dinner or seafood; dancing and a bon fire. My friends I made there have all moved to Florida. There is only one friend that I cannot locate. He lived in the town of Cameguay and he was an artisan that I met at Brisas Santa Lucia when I first went in 2002.
My god , been to camaguey 5 times within 7 months upto jan 2020, and since then couldnt travel due to covid. and this video made me cry seeing few of the streets, which i am familiar. and feel very sorry terrible for the people of cuba.
Very nice video, smple and natural. I went to Cuba a long time ago and I can honestly say that they are some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Cheers from Montréal!
I was told they randomly may select someone to test upon arrival and I did see them to the side set up. But I didn't see anyone get tested. Unfortunately now here in Canada they require you to have a negative pcr test before you return to Canada. This will be a problem now to travel. Because where will you get a pcr test at the resort? And it will have to be an expense out of your own pocket.
@@bigdproductions1906 can I please ask was your beach on the carribean side? were the waves rough to swim?...were tours operating? and did you have outdoor dining options at that resort. Thanks so much
@@denisemoore8536 There were some waves, but it wasn't too bad. We were able to swim. Tours were operating and there was dining options to sit outside. I felt safe there. It was a nice change
I’m looking to go with my GF next month, saw deals around $750 which was reasonable. Would you recommend to go even during this pandemic? I’d think it would be nice since the tourism isn’t to high at the moment.
I would go again :) Everything is well organized and safe. And $750 is an amazing deal. And its not too busy, so for sure you'll have a relaxing vacation 😎
Great video and awesome music! Looks like you both had a lot of fun. I want to book there for January but I'm hesitating . I love the self serve buffets and I would feel awkward eating to my hearts content while someone else is serving me and perhaps judging me. Can you tell me if this was a self serve buffet or did staff serve you? Any long lineups at the buffet? Were all the restaurants open and did they require reservations? Do they have a 24 hour snack bar or coffee place? How was the noise at this resorts? I'm looking for a quiet place. Was there a big walking distance between room/ restaurants/ beaches? Finally any mosquito problems? Thanks again for this great video! I hope your tooth is better☺️
Hi. The main buffet is closed but they have a smaller buffet at the Ocean Side restaurant. Its served by the staff, but I never felt uncomfortable asking for more food and they were happy to accommodate. Reservations are required at the a la cart restaurants. There aren't many people so its pretty quiet and not crowded at the buffet. Only time its a little busy is when the weekend comes and the Dominican guests arrive from Santo Domingo for 3 days. 24 hour room service is available and free for Sunwing travelers, otherwise it's $5 when you order. I think you can upgrade your room to Diamond club for an extra $50 through Sunwing.
Big D Productions wow! Thank you for answering all my questions, it is much appreciated. Please keep making these great videos, you are really good at this! Have a wonderful day ☺️
The coffee shop near the reception is the best place to have a coffee. You have to call to get the fridge refilled with drinks or they won't do it. They may ask you to pay a $250 security deposit or a hold on your card at check-in. Refuse to pay it. We were lucky not to pay it, but others had to pay it. Also bring U.S currency and get small bills
@@bigdproductions1906 Thanks for your quick answer and good tips! Did you have the feeling that the measures taken in connection with the pandemic had an impact on your stay? We are looking forward to seeing your Part 3! Kindest
@@MrOneDre Not at all. The whole trip went smoothly and they are anxious to get guests back to the resort. They were just insisting to have people wear masks when entering the dining area
If you booked through Sunwing, I think you still have the option to upgrade before you go. I think it was only a $50 upgrade per person. At the hotel it will be more.
No. This was the standard room. With the diamond club, you get the swim out pool, some additional drinks, a private butler and access to the diamond club pool. But we were okay with this room. Very comfortable beds
