Welcome to my channel GrubcoTV3, dedicated to the some of the best classic Australian television commercials from the 1980s (and some recent stuff too). For this collection, I ripped hundreds of VHS video cassettes recorded by my family up to 30 years ago (see my channel pic), producing more than 650 clips. My previous channel, GrubcoTV (#2) had 90% of this collection before being shutdown, losing the lot! I should have given up, but instead I returned with this channel, and this collection! If you like classic TV commercials from a different era, a simpler time (the 80s) then hopefully you will enjoy my collection as much as I did making it. If you like what you see, Subscribe, but I apologise in advance if I'm late to accept you (I don't check in here every day). PS Please do not ask for original copies, or request other ads to upload - I don't have anything else, just what you see here. PS All my NRL State Of Origin clips have been moved to OriginClips (linked below).
haven't seen this commercial in 40 years yet somehow i remember the lyrics word for word. ask me what i did last night and i wouldnt be able to tell ya
One of the first places I went to on an school excursion when I first arrived in Australia as a young boy. The othet historical attraction was 'Australiana Village' near Wallacia if I'm not mistaken. These places would now be considered 'culturally insensitive' in the eyes of the politically correct mob if they existed today. What a shame!
Those Sigma's were great cars. The 2.6 litre version was an absolute weapon. Wonder if that 100,000th Sigma still exists? Probably in a museum somewhere. Perhaps in the same museum as the last Chrysler Valiant manufactured in 1981 nicknamed "last bastard" due to that word being engraved into the paint in the boot floor area during manufacture. Glad that car still exists. Hopefully the 100,000th Sigma still does.
They used this place in the second season of "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". Due to delays in shooting the movie, which was shot in Australia, two sets of three part episodes were partially filmed down there. The first one, "The Wedding" was used for the Rangers' trip. The second, "Return of the Green Ranger" used a lot of Sydney and Old Sydney town.
I still have my Dad's 1982 (sold in some markets as 1981) Corona, with just 77,000km on it. He bought it when we were in the Middle East and it has the 2T engine. Awesome car, which has never ever broken down, nor has it rusted and it's also hardly ever had any work ever done on it, but it's been lovingly taken care of.
