Come On! This van is already almost 8 years old and still as expensive as hell. While I get these are deemed or can be a mortgage but this is not gaining on your investment it is only going down. Thanks for the recap of everything..
One of the reasons this van is higher prices is the Quigley 4x4 add on. That component alone is worth $15,000. Some of the listed price also includes optional add-on components that can be removed. The price range is more of an estimate than a fixed amount. We have a van from the same year the is a non-4x4 and is closer to the $70,000 price range with van and all the components.
I wish this was the Do model. I have been talking to a guru for a bit now and still waiting on something like this in the Do layout. I saw that mid-roof you have but we are about the same height and that one just wouldn't work for me. Might have to just order a Murphy bed layout soon.
If you're cooking something delicate like scallops and have to go.... you can achieve a nice crap and a perfect sear. Just kidding, I'm always appalled with this "space saving" design.
Thankfully everything is modular. With limited space the van has to be a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc. Moving the toilet doesn't change the proximity to the kitchen that much. It's all give and take with limited space. Thankfully we build our vans to allow owners to place those items where they work best for them.
Great video. All companies building vans looks great when you buy it. Unfortunately you discover after if it's a good company or not when you need help and how their customer service works or do not exist in some cases
Was trying to pair my viper again due to dead car battery , but while doing it it failed and now my lock on display is clear instead if black, what can I do to pair and fix this, appreciate the help from anyone .
@vandoitco I appreciate that, I fixed it. It did take me what felt forever , all I did was not have the car on , did the same paring option but with. No car key in the ignition or lights on, did the pairing mode and it said now entering valet mode ,once I saw that i just went to unlock the valet mode and it worked like a charm, idk what I did in the first place but I know it was never set in valet mode. , thank u !! This video , def set me in the right direction.
The 2 non-standard options on the particular van are this has the stage 2 power system. This increases the lithium power from 200 amp hours to 460 amp hours. The other non-standard option is the DC powered air conditioner. These 2 items would add $6,800 to the standard features.
1) I would like to see you get on the drawbridge bed to see how much it flexes please. Doesn't look very sturdy without support? 2) If you have things in the garage, wouldn't that stop the heater from venting the van and just heat under the bed? 3) You can run the AC overnight on battery? How much battery does it come with, and how does it recharge? Can you shower at night and use the electric water heater, and still run the AC all night? I like, but video short on important details.
This battery system is a 460 amp hour power system. You can run the air conditioning all night with this system and should have no issues using the hot water heater as well. All of this is dependent on what other electrical items you are running in the van. If you running a fridge, have a lot of devices plugged into the outlets, etc., the power system really becomes dependent on reach individuals power draw. The battery can charge from the alternator, a shore power hookup, and also receive a trickle charge from solar.
A kayak would fit inside the van the way it is set up. As for pricing, we have started sharing this information when it's available. This van shown is not fully completed yet, so accurate pricing is not available. These MOOV builds range from $114,900 to $200,000+ depending on component options.
This video is great. Thanks for the update and for the transparency on van shopping, purchase etc... Dreaming of the day when I can buy an EL DO for my family of 5!
"Natural air flow when the air vent is turned on" ??? huh? .. (and the bed is down not blocking the windows) The van looks more like an ambulance than a camper/home. I guess if you clean your camper with a pressure washer this is something you'll like. :P
@@vandoitco if yall make anymore videos, you should really showcase that the bed can be totally flush. Yall should also make a videos showing how to adjust the high of the bed, and how to remove different components of build.
Good job on the short! I've been "off-road touring" since the early 80's and learned the hard way, since we didn't have guys like you that take the time to share their knowledge and experience thru the use of pocket computer videos. 😉
