This channel is a miniature adventure for adult collectors and fellow mini enthusiasts. I'm building a forest in my craft room out of simple things like cardboard and foil and showing how I build things along the way.
I wonder, where's the video on how you made the stove/woodburner? I really LOVE this and the other gnome home/tree house. I would also LOVE to see how you made the castle that you made in the past.
How large is this gnome home? And how large is the other one you made? I was wondering so that if I try to do this I know approx how much room I'll need for it. I know that I can make it any size I want, but, I want an idea of how big yours are as a guide.
Hoo, I didn't see that coming.... I thought, when I'm a Granny, I can still watch your videos, where Gnome city has grown through the whole room then! 😳 We all wonder, if you even have sold your great gnome homes, built in hundreds of hours with heartblood, or did you save them??! How great, that you have been to Europe (I'm from Germany), I like your kind of travelling, it's simular to mine ( the luxury is the travelling itselfs, not expensive hotels..)! I wish you two will have a great time with small and big wonders, always a great place to stay overnight and that the gnomes will always be with you! ♥
What I showed on the video is all I did, I didn’t find a need to prep them first. I do soak walnuts in water for a couple days before cracking them open tho. Soaking walnuts first will allow you to crack them without breaking the shell.
its hard to see as the picture isnt big enough but the stairs seem oddly put having ahole in wall and stairs right next to it is there another way as id like to make one 0:45 t
@@ruthgreen7424 this video is over 6 yrs old, I can’t remember why I used the box I did or why I placed the stairs here. Everything I made was an afterthought as I never have a plan in place before building so I end up with many nooks and crannies that add a lot of whimsy and added character to my builds, it’s just the way I do things. But everyone is different, you can use these same techniques using recycled materials and build whatever works best for you. Everything I build is only meant to spark an idea for the viewer. The most important thing is to enjoy what you’re building and let your mistakes turn into something wonderful you didn’t plan out ahead of time. I don’t have this tree anymore or I would have investigated where the stairs were and give you a more detailed answer but I hope this helps regardless ☺️
Omgosh!!!🏃♀️➡️running ro my spice cabinet to grab my Himalayan Salt!!😅 These are so brilliant and beautiful Sharon. Thank you so much for sharing. I don't know what I'm going to use them for yet. But I'm making some for sure!!! Off to see the crystal video.🥰❤
Are you flipping the glue dots over when you shape them over the marble or keeping it the way you poured them? This is so cute btw! I am currently making a rotting tree stump for a dog sculpture to pop out of and i may try these light up mushrooms.
@@lillykathleen89 if you’re referring to the “bark” stage then the watered down glue is pretty much diy mod podge but glue and water is cheaper. The water is just to make the the glue easier to work with. The thicker the glue the more water you’ll use and that just goes by feel, (meaning), you want to pull the excess glue off the paper towel without ripping the towel so that’s the only purpose of the water. If you’re referring to the clay then yes, mod podge can be used in stead of.
So, I'm wondering if I can use the mixture without the paper as a paste and use paper strips for normal paper macheing. Also, the other thing I'm wondering is does the clay need to be really solid? I kind of liked the consistency before you added the rest of the paper. I need to make an Audrey 2 head out of paper mache. I'm using balloons as my template for size and roundness. Thoughts? Please advise. Thank you in advance!!!
Salt is the best, in my opinion, for this clay. I’ve been making it for over a decade with 6 teaspoons of salt (give or take a bit) in every batch and I haven’t had any issues with mould yet.
Oh wow!! How exciting is this?!?! It's been so long since I visited your channel and to learn where the gnomes live are somewhere else now. 🫣😭 You're living the dream. Good for you! Many blessed adventures for both of you❤🥰
Safe and happy travels, go live your dreams. I’m so happy for you both and selfishly relieved you’re still posting your amazing content I so enjoy! 😂 looking forward to hearing all about your journeys. I keep my yarn in Those clear shrink bags for storing blankets over winter and use my mini vacuum cleaner to remove the air to make small as possible. Would be good for top of your closet. Not so good for clothes as they wrinkle but jumpers and bulky stuff maybe? Much love ❤
That’s awesome to hear, thank you! I’ve used this clay for many years, it’s a great clay, one of the best for sure. If you look in the pinned comment I have a link to my most recent update for this same clay where I use cardboard and egg cartons with measurements for both 🥰

Oh my! I have so much binge watching to catch up on and this was a real surprise! I love that you both seem so happy and have to say I'm slightly envious that you've taken such a big plunge in following your dreams.....what an adventure and what memories to collect. (not to mention the RV's really nice 😍) Good luck in all your travels and I hope we get to share some of the beautiful Canadian scenery with you as well as your crafting. Hugs to both 🤗❤
