Nice! I love these and I bought a few too. My mom still had some of my old school work and notes to friends from my room stored away. So I am making a few “time capsule” trapper keepers with some photos mixed in too. Ha. I am now trying to figure out how to label the spines without covering the “Trapper Keeper” words on the spine. (Thinking of maybe a small sticker label on the bottom below the words.) I just love that Mead is making these again. 😁
Just watched this on my TV, so using my phone to comment lol. Great video! I think it’s so cool how you have kept up with this Hobonichi all year. I can kind of say the same about my Moleskine, but in different ways. The way I’ve been using it is half planner, half memory keeper. I’ve been thinking about doing a similar setup next year, but I will most likely be using what I already have to make it. Speaking of which, great job on the no-buy! Also, congrats on keeping up the walking every day! 🎉 I got knocked off track when I got sick, but I’m going to be starting over on my own walking habit. Wish me luck! Cool flip! I love how you have been using that Hobonichi all year! It’s really making me think about getting one eventually. Until then tho I am determined to use up what I have first! It was so cool seeing these reissued in the original retro prints and marketed towards us OG adult fans who grew up with them. I also got the "dolphin glow" one you also have in the vid. 😎 Upgrading to metal from plastic with some of the key components was a great move also. (I love your hack to preserve the Velcro too, (which pleases my OCD to no end lol.)
That Hobonichi is so pretty!!! It almost makes me want to get one or something like it. But I'm determined to stick with my Moleskine the rest of this year lol. I've made it this far! It's mostly memory keeping too, with a tiny bit of planning thrown in, journaling in another insert, and random notes in another. My little May Designs TN just keeps on chugging along! lol Thank you for continuing to inspire us all, including me! 💙💖

Awesome flip! And congrats on the no-buy success! I can celebrate with you because I didn't spend anything in January either! (The fact I had no money to spend in the first place helped a lot with that. lol) I really like the way you're using up your pen stash. I'm starting to use mine up the same way. Still can't get away from color coding some stuff, so I do still tend to lug a pack of Frixion pens with me to work and such, but when it comes to quick out-and-about trips, I have cut it down to just one or two pens tops. I'm also going to try the same thing with my highlighters. Wish me luck! lol I think it's funny that you tried switching back to your rings and barely lasted a day or two. lol Seriously, it looks like the Hobonichi is working really well for you. And so far, my TN system is working for me. I'm digging my current setup, which, if you think about it, is kinda similar to yours in that all the monthlies, weeklies, and daily/journal pages are grouped together. It's pretty cool. Is it weird that I saw some of those note pages and went "Yeah, I know where she got that from?" Like I recognized that tie-dye page from a planner that I own! 🤣 Anyway, awesome setup! I love how you split the folders. That's a really neat idea. Makes it easier to use the pockets, right? That's what it looked like to me. Also like the fact you can then mix and match fronts and backs. lol I'm still very, very tempted to run to Walmart on payday and grab at least one Trapper Keeper! 😁 I'll have to see if I have it in MY budget to do so! lol Great video, bestie! 💙💖

Awesome setup! I love how it's working for you. My big Moterm is in a state of flux at the moment lol. I tried, but I couldn't handle the chunky monkey style, so I'm splitting up some sections into other planners. I'm in the process of figuring out which ones work together the best in which planner. I've also been making some of my pages removable like that. It does make it easier to move things around. Opening and shutting the rings can be a real pain lol. Awesome setup! Love the little bee notebook, it's adorable! I also like how you have all your sections done in your personal rings. As for that foldout, maybe it could be another future planning page? Or maybe a reading tracker or writing sprint/word count tracker? Maybe even a mini kanban board? Just throwing a few ideas out there off the top of my head. My setup is similar to yours. I'm still using the A5 planner that's just like your personal size. It's set up pretty much the same way, minus the pet section. I've been doing the same thing with my weekly layout--jotting down a highlight of the day, sometimes a few to-do's. I also still use the Moleskine weekly as my work planner. I usually will also carry my TN, which I have set up as a journal, but haven't used as much as I've wanted to. Lastly, I have my steno pad that I use as a brain dump book. I'm proud to say it's almost used up! I've already been looking at my collection, trying to decide which one to use up next! lol Hope you're having a great day, bestie! 🤗🥰💙
