Most of these suggested ties and drapes lose their tidinesses upon moving in less than 15 minutes not to mention how tight-shouldered one will move .. more like a robot! I highly recommend you pin where you can with either safety pins (hidden) or decorative brooches! Although I pinned mine still felt uneasy and stopped at mirrors for quick check-ups but soon got accustomed for things stayed as they were and learned to move freely and carelessly!
My gown ( mother of the bride my gown has half sleeves of lace. I wanted to add a shawl of the same color ( sheer ) & wear. My daughter says you dont wear one if your shoulders are covered?? Is that a rule? Can I not wear a sheer shawl as an accessory if I have lace half sleeves? Is that a thing?
We Indians wear a long scarf or a shawl in these manners regularly . 2nd one is used by college students where a long scarf is a part of their uniform. 3rd one most ladies wear a shawl in this manner The 1st one is not that common Loved the video
Farhana Paswal Really?! Maybe you can make a better video and show us better ways to drape a shawl at formal events. I love the ideas in this video though.
Wonderful! I am a professional bridalwear seamstress and sent this video to one of my clients (mother of the groom) as instruction as to how to wear the shawl I made for her. So very helpful! Thank you!
I'm so sorry for not acknowledging your question, Jennifer. I didn't see the notification of your post. The shawl we used was 30" x 72". Thanks for watching!
Jennifer, thanks for the question. I replied via comment instead of directly to you. I wanted to be sure you saw my answer: 30"x72". I hope that helps!
