This is a stretch, but would you happen to know the length of the 4 main poles? I own this tent and have had years of memories in it. I just pitched it last night to get my niece and nephew into camping but realized the poles are missing. I’ll be ordering replacement poles but I’m not certain of their length. I’ve scoured the internet trying to find the specifications for pole lengths for this tent and can’t find anything. I’m searching RU-vid videos of this Red Canyon tent as a last resort. Thanks.
If you hate using bug spray I know the solution. Find yourself an Avon representative and get a bottle of Skin So Soft original bath oil. You won't have any pests including ticks and sand fleas biting you. Plus it's good for your skin and it smells good. I live in Tennessee and I have used Skin So Soft for years.
Packing gauze may not stop arterial bleeding, hemostatic one most certainly could. Great video after all, although there are some mistakes in the gear organization that i've spotted, ofc it''s all about usecase scenario, but for example I don't remember seeing any disinfection stuff, also I saw cheap chinese chest seals, only 1 TQ (thumbs up because its a CAT and not some chinese stuff), I'd also add some aditional lighting, secure trauma shears cause they will fall out
Agree, packing gauze alone won’t stop an arterial bleed, I like hemostatic sponges I don’t know if they make the sponge version anymore. Yes I did mention the cheap chest seals, as I did mention, I like the Hyfin seals. I have some on order along with a septic and a few other things. Yes, I like quality tourniquets and there’s only one in this kit, due to the fact that I have a ton of different kits that also have cat tourniquets in them, it can get expensive doubling and tripping up every single kit I have. Agree with you on the lighting. And yes I need to dummy cord the shears. Thanks all good tips.
@@fortnutowicz3537 Like I said, in the video, it’s possible someone on scene could use those, that’s why they’re in there. I know how to use NPA’s. That’s why they’re in there, and NPA are more commonly used than orals.
Frantic Flintstone- it’s not an absurd review attacking it right out of box. Watch the first review on previous video. This was a follow up to some quality issues. Relax and take a chill pill. 😆
Major burns on a large area -> don't cool. These patients get hypothermia, so keep them warm. Cover up the burn with plastic wrap. Just the regular stuff you use on your food will do. Covering up the exposed nerve endings from wind will reduce pain and keep infections out. This is verified info, approved by multiple guidelines like EMSB. For the budget minded people: don't buy Chinese tourniquets (they don't work), except for Rhino Rescue brand ones. I have tested those multiple times and they work well. They are a real brand exporting medical products on mass scale to 2nd and 3th world countries. They have lots of good, cheap trauma stuff I can recommend. Suture kits or staplers are things you would only ever use in the extreme backcountry. A tube of super glue will work for small stuff. The reality is that you will just bandage everything up with gauze and then get them to the hospital. I would throw almost all of the suturing and big syringes and stuff out and put more gauze in. Splints and improvised splinting skills are great. Aspirin for heart attacks (or anything that looks like it). 250mg can't hurt. Ibuprofen, antidiarrheal,... Stethoscopes with thick tubing from AliExpress work amazing. There are also lots of good Raptor shear clones. Try them before relying on them. Thermometer and blood glucose meter are great too. Pocket BVM is also a great tool, but you need to know how to use it. Like the bag.
really cool bag, it reminds me a lot of the Helikon Tex Bail Out Bag. I bought it to make a bugout bag but it turned out to be really good for short weekend trips 🙂
Yes it’s great we can find many uses for the same bag! This made me think of a travel or emergency bag too! The organization is awesome. Too cool, thanks! Wow ya I see what you mean that bag is pretty cool, like the extra bag and that thing is pretty versatile. Also a great option for people to check out! They have a great video showing its features. Thanks for sharing it.
I had top loading OR ditty bags. Basically same design, different material. Problem was the inside had a rubbery tub lining on bottom and it “ decomposed” after 5, 6 years, and melted I guess you say all over contents. Was sticky and had to toss the bags. Had GG stuff sacks and now going for their zipditty bags. Nice review.
We've had ours for about a year and they haven't held up as well as I'd hoped. The lids are very difficult sometimes and as a result many of mine have cracked or completely broken off. Love that they're stackable and seal well but unfortunately they're going to wind up in the landfill way before my old Tupperware branded stuff does (some from the 60's is STILL good). Unfortunately I don't believe new Tupperware is as good.
Oh wow that’s a bummer! Maybe they were made on Friday? Lol. I’ve been lucky mine have held up great no issues. Yeah sadly new stuff isn’t as good as old stuff! Seems a lot of stuff is hit or miss these days. Thanks for sharing.
Now that it's been a year since you did this video, have you discovered any new nuggets you can share? Has it been working well with it staying in the cover all the time? Especially, if it's in the outdoors for a length of time in the summer, etc?
Hi from England 🇬🇧. Nice video. Thanks. You sound just like Emilio Estevez 😂. All I can see is him sat on the floor going thru his camping stuff 😂😂😂. Hope I've not offended you.
Well Hello England! And welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video! Emilio Estevez really?? Hahaha ok, the female version I guess! No worries all in good fun. 👋😁
Hey G, G & G - another gr8 vid! 😄👍🏻👏🏻 Love the detailed backstory u give on all the items and where u resource ur stuff from; however, u showed us an awesome-looking set of nursing reference cards, but never said where u got them (Amazon? NAR? Rescue Essentials? 😧😫😔), or else I missed it. If u could put that info in a reply, u’ll be the best!!! 😄👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻 TY so much for getting back 2 making vids again, and PLEASE keep it up - love watching them!! 😄👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for the kind words! I’m so happy you enjoy my videos. They’re nurse badge reference cards on Amazon. Can’t seem to find them in my purchase history to include a link, sorry. These cards come in a variety of different topics, which is so cool! I’d just punch it into the search box then you can pick the topics you like! I wish I had done that lol. I just stumbled across these looking for other med items lol. Yes, more videos to come if shipping companies would quit damaging the items hahaha! Road bumps…stay tuned. Check out the excellent elite spanker bag and its gear, you could get a cool reference card!
@@Greatgadgetsgear TY so much! I’ll go chk Amazon right now! 😄👍🏻🙏🏻 Saw the video on the Elite Spanker bag - very cool! I just put a 5.11 ALS bag together for my brother (a physician who likes to shoot and always ends up as the Range Doc when he goes to outdoor range events). They’ve discontinued the ALS bag, so if I build another bag for a friend who is a firearms instructor (and who has a doctor as a perpetual student), imo seriously consider the Elite Spanker bag! Like u, I love that highly organized and color-coded structure to the bag (same w the 5.11 ALS), and the fact that the module bags r Velcro’d into place and easily removable w the handles. 👍🏻👏🏻😎 Thx again 4 the info G, G & G - looking fwd 2 ur next video!! 😄👍🏻👏🏻
@@stevenmarrocco8184 That’s great! Love building those bags. 5.11 makes good stuff never came across the ALS bag. So many bags out there now, nice to have some inexpensive choices. That would be a necessity for the range and being an instructor he’d probably like a custom built bag! Thanks. Hope you find your cards on Amazon.
I’d like the first aid information on the laminated sheet. Even if you could scan the pages and provide them in a PDF, that would be great. Thanks for the video.
Winner did not claim prize you were the only other person who requested the card lol. So you are now the winner please PM me with your mailing address so I can send you your card. You have 24 hours left to claim your prize.
Nice things. Just getting into first aid because of a shtf situation I had in February (Chilean wild fires) don't think Im getting that hardcore into medical yet, but Im making a emergency bag with first aid and breacking tools
BRUV. THIS IS A ALI EXPRESS CHY C0M MULTI TOOL. 🤷🏻♂️ ITS ALLWAYS A GAMBLE WHEN U PLAY THAT GAME. MINE TURNED OUT FINE. DEFINITELY INFINITLY BETTER THAN THE BUTT ASS BUHDUHSSY "LEATHERMAN MICRA"ALL DAY LONG AND THEN SOME THATS FOR DAM SURE. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
One of the things that I really like about your channel, "Triple G" is that you always seem to find the coolest gear to check-out. I don't think this particular iten is something that I would use. All the and take care.☺
Hello! What type of bolt is on the bottom of the lock mechanism on the inside? I’ve had issues with whatever bolt I have and it keeps falling out every week. Thinking I have wrong bolt.
The lock itself is threaded and passes thru the top then it’s secured with a plastic nut. Not sure if that the bolt you mean as that bolt can’t fall out, only the plastic nut could break and fall off. Hope this helps.
Hey there "Triple G", ya know it seems like most times when I watch your videos, it costs me money. You provide so many good ideas that I end up getting some of the products you show. But I don't mind at all because I know it's money well spent. Luv Ya girl and look forward to your next video. Take care !😃
Great review! This is a weird question for a biking bag, but do you know if it is big enough to hold an iPad? I'm trying to find a small multi-use bag that is good for hikes, bikes, amusement parks, and can be my personal item when flying. It looks like it ticks the box for the first three, but I have an iPad when traveling.
@user-yd9js9yc3k Wow an iPad is 5” thick?? Um I’d have to say no, not that thick. I have a medical book you can look up called The survival medicine handbook by the Alton’s which is 10”H x 8”W but only 2” thick, it will fit but really fills up the main compartment of the bag. They also have a 20 liter version that might accommodate all uses depending on gear you want to bring. The 12 is very small. Hope this helps.
@@Greatgadgetsgear The iPad is only 0.5" thick. I should have put a 0 in front of the decimal to make it easier to see. LOL! I thought about the 20L, but I want a small bag to help prevent overpacking! If my kids or husband see extra space, they'll think there is room for their stuff in MY bag and it will start getting heavy. It is time for them to carry the overflow! :) Thanks again. Your videos have been very helpful!
@user-yd9js9yc3k Awesome lol ya I thought that was a bit thick! So it would fit, I’d use a padded sleeve since no padding in bag. It could work but might be tight with other gear. But if you really want to use a small bag like this, you could make it work. I understand wanting to keep it small I mean I love this bag it’s awesome. That’s my advice, I’d definitely use a padded sleeve and then you’d have to look at your other gear and kind of pick and choose as your packing. What’s really the most important. Thank you very much. I appreciate that and I’m glad my videos are of any help or value to you. Stay tuned more to come.
A small roll of duck tape could really come in handy if that chest seal doesnt adhere, also I would be interested in your opinion of the allaquix because I thought the same as you but I have never used it before. 👆 First time veiwer, subscribed 👍
True that duct tape fixes everything lol! I just got the allaquix so lucky for me no chance to test out yet lol. Might do testing with some beef blood to see. Welcome to the channel! Stay tuned, more large med kits coming and a ton of cool gadgets! Thanks for the tips
Hi "Triple G" , Wow I got some good ideas for my vehicle bag from your video. I may order some of those supplies as brthday present to myself tommorrow. I noticed you mentioned xtra mags in your video. I don't want to invade you privacy, but do you "carry" for protection or just target shooting? As always take care and I look forward to the next video.
Yes I "legally" carry, but haven't been target shooting for a while do to physical disabilities. Hope to go again real soon. My main hobby of ham radio keeps me busy though.@@Greatgadgetsgear
No balance issues but I just don’t recommend or like this stand. The legs just don’t function well. I’m leaning towards the dewalt one that has the pneumatic assisted raising and lowering capability. Costs more but looks more stable and solid.
Also one good thing you did was get a bag empty and wanting to fill it yourself $40 you could of bought a few smaller mymedic or adventure gear ifak which are good
Yes for certain items. Not really an issue for gauze pads, or rolls or some other items. Stay tuned and you’ll see my other kits and the bulk items purchased. Medical is expensive and a $10 4x4 works the same as a $3 one lol. Never cheap out on tourniquets.
That was an excellant video "Triple G". You give very good descriptions of the products. When the weather gets better and you go hiking & camping are you going to take your doggie with you? Hope you have a very blessed day !
I have no use for the SAE socket. So, I opted for just the 2 metric sets. The 1/4 and the 3/8 complete set directly from Tekton. Gotta say tekton quality is everything i had expected. Top notch quality and no skip all in a very nice and sturdy molded case. Tekton is the brand I love. I've had other brands, and they all are incomplete, which is disappointing when you need it, and it doesn't have it, then you gotta go buy it, which is so inconvenient. I want it all in a complete set all in one case, so you don't end up losing it somewhere.
I am the type that loves when things are less complicated then it didn't need to be. And you get the job done right the first time with the proper tools. Tekton and dewalt are the only two brands that I can say they're products are worth every little pennies to invest in.
