Excellent interview! It's wonderful to appreciate Richie's amazing bass playing. He referenced "Nickel Hustler" from his 50 for 50 release, and oh yes... it's a banger for bass enthusiasts.
With all of the 'running mouths' out there, who are ready to show up on certain channels and drop names, and claim techniques, it really should come as *no* surprise that they haven't shown up here. 🤣 I don't play Bass, but I'm one of those guys who always has an ear out for the bassline. This book sounds like an interesting read.
The book is a fun read and who knows... you might take up the bass (it is never too late). :) Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
Gear wise, he’s gear wise. Amps are for guitarists, being part of their guitar, thus sound. Adamovic Basses is a Dutch builder/luthier. Come on, Tad! It’s not particularly a Volkswagen bass... Now is it? 😄 🖖
Always been a big Tad fan. Have seen BT live a couple times and he is a *monster* bass player. Loved Bobby Sheehan’s work with BT and Tad did an incredible job filling the void that was left by BS passing
@@BassMusicianMagazine well I’d be honored if you saw my vids and wanted to give me a shot someday. I’ll just keep playing and maybe someday we’ll connect onscreen 😄
Your interviews are great and important for the bass community. Have you ever thought about trying to get Sam Rivers on from Limp Bizkit? Very underrated.
Very glad You liked this interview. Please feel to check our others and we will keep Sam in mind for the future. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.l
Badass mofo, I play Richie's playlist when I work on someones guitar, or my own. Winery and his solo stuff, killer, killer, his vocals alone is enough, but then he lights it up on the tele, or strat, and then it's , see-ya. Nice job interviewing
…I walk away richer in knowledge after listening to this guy talk. After all he’s been at it long enough to know, right? We have two ears and one mouth; use accordingly. I see many of the bass clips he’s mentioned - cats who can play circles around me. I usually conclude by saying at the end of each clip I see; buy a guitar.
Glad you liked it! We are looking at another Katana right now. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
The hum is from using the DI to camera interface. No hum is audible in person. You should try one and see. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
Would have liked an explanation of the gain structure on these. From trying at store it was a bit comfusing to barely get any volym with master turned quite high and gain on max but "level" on sgt circuit low...
Hi David, As I returned this unit to Ampeg after the review, I can't help you with the gain structure at this time. I would encourage you to contact Ampeg and ask them your specific questions. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
That’s so crazy! We basically had the same exact thought process!! I never wanted to have to turn down a workout! 45 years and I’m still learning about this guy 🐐🐐🐐
This is one of the best demos I've ever seen in how to use gear! Rudy is such a lovely guy but also a great talent and to hear him play bass through the Spark 40 is fabulous. Btw, I just received my Spark 2 (Aug-24) and was searching for some info on using it to play bass, as well as guitar, and this is very timely and just what I need :) Cheers Rudy!
Great questions, congratulations for the interview! Maybe a lot of people was wrong about the process of creation for Richie. #LessMath #MoreIntuition #AlotOfTechnique
He’s the ultimate triple threat-musician, singer, producer 🔥 🔥🔥 To tell the truth I luvved what he was saying but admit getting distracted by his powerful guns 💪
i was wondering how does audigo behave at outdoors with ambient sound, ambient sound is something i deal with when i record, and so i am curious if Audigo could provide me with "blocking" the most the ambient sound, how has it worked with you? thank you for all the info!
Hi Isabella, I did all my testing indoors so I did not get much in the way of ambient sound. The audio website does have sound samples/videos that were recorded outdoors and they were good. Check those out and feel free to ask the nice folks at Audigo about ambient sounds. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
@@BassMusicianMagazine Thank you very much! yes! i did check up the Audigo samples (the ones that were taken outside) and it sounds good it seems! thank you again for your ocntent and response!
@@BassMusicianMagazine His 2015 live in Tokyo show was one of my favorite recorded live performances of all time. . That version of Remember is high art
Thank you for asking John about his singing. I always wanted to know more about it, his voice is fascinating, especially when he hits the high notes and harmonies. He is really fantastic. Good interview - great questions.
Great interview! Thank you Jojo for sharing your stories! It’s cool to see that you have a Starter Carter pedal steel guitar in your studio! Had one of those at one point!
