In May of 1948 a hot dog stand was begun here to help its owner work his way through school. Your friendship has made that stand grow into the most pleasant drive-in we know of anywhere. Our goal always is to serve you in a manner that will make you want to return…and bring your friends with you. Please help us to do more than merely satisfy you. Your criticism is as welcome to us as your patronage. All Roads Lead to Superdawg:

These people that serve you hot dogs are not even allowed to eat pork so they can serve Gentiles shit, but they don’t need it themselves. What does that tell you other people you support
The dog really looks great but, am I the *only* one who has a problem with eating off that person's sweaty arm/hands?? I've worked restaurants and I know how it is. I'd never put someone's food on my arm. My family has run a drive-in since '55, same principles and philosophy but... They'd pitch a *fit* if they saw someone doing that. My grandfather was the town butcher, his sons started the Drive-in and I can hear him saying, of either business "Speed that comes at the cost of quality/health/sanitation isn't speedy at all because one sick customer can ruin the business." us it's just gross. My wife and I are going through Chicago and Milwaukee soon and if we go, I'll ask them for our dogs "Sweat free, please." 😀
Superdawg doesn't serve Vienna hot dogs? The most famous hot dog restaurant in Chicago - the city known for Vienna dogs.?. I'm stunned. Owner said it's because they taste better, but can't help but wonder if they're less expensive.
If anything, using a custom-made, small batch (relatively speaking) hot dog would be more expensive than the much more mass-produced Vienna Beef hot dog. Whoever makes them might make hundreds or a thousand or so in a single batch compared to tens of thousands or more.
Grew up going there as a kid. We would have eaten there every day if our parents would have allowed it! Best hotdog ever made. Love and miss this place. Wish you could send a few to Alabama!
