yes indeed, and it is very capable. Can sound very smooth too. And,ey, its polyphonic too. The think im not sure and u might help me, is - can u confirm- that these vst doesnt ddo CV or GATE OUTr ? am I missing something ? is there a utility i could use ?
Sorry for the amount of comments, I just came back from work and I rewatched some parts, and I just wanted to reply after you finished the stream. I left you out cold not replying... because I went to bed. Sorry. Me bad ;)
related to the saturation, you can also use a Q setting to emphasize a specific band. That will also change the character of the sound before throwing that agains a saturation setting.
but related to brick wall, you could also just use a chain of high pass filters to mimic the same idea. Just stack them and you should be good on that. HP filters are common in every synth (thor has them too).
So offline, i finally cut the low end on that bass and make another instrument for sub frequencies, but it s a modern way of doing it, so that u get a constant flow of 50-60 hz vibrations in our needy ears haha (sidechained Compressed it too)
I like the darkness on this one. Just to make a bit more darker, I would just throw in a filter on the percussion elements. Play with some automation with it. So it feels bright when the track needs to go that way, and drop the filter where you want to add that darkness to the track. Because at this point the percussion elements just play 'as is'. The don't really fit well with the space you are trying to create. If you catch my idea on this one. See it as constructive critism if you will. You have a solid base there, it just needs some refinment. That is all
i think because the percs being made with objekt i liked the clarity so much, but yea lets put them in the glue i agree -and i tend to filter too much my drums and percs usually but yea they have not the same vibe as th rest i admit. But i would have probly done it later about the automation, ... Or a convo reverb ofd some sort like underwater ?
(nota bene (btw at first i replied u first using the quick window on the top roght but I was doing so thinking about another vid i recently uplaoded too my bad , so if they appear in ur feed its normal, i just deleted them here tho.just so u kn
again love the synthwave vibe with this one. That bass line sounds very solid at 3:04. It has an authentic feel to it while the rest is just synths. Makes it special in a way even while it just breath just for a few seconds.
Thank you mate. Yea part of my prod is this genre, in fact lately i am working on 2 EPs and one LP that go from experimental to quite "mainstream" vibes. And I would be, too, interesed in working with you sometimes in the close future. Though im focusing right now on these 3 projects, I ll be in touch as soon as Im done with that (last lane is the most boring and difficult haha) ! Thx for the support , again ! :) TAlk u soon. CHeers, from...Normandy, FR!
@@Nenko_Music can always help even inside your project (sound design, technicalities, mixing..), myself is making an album right now and looking at spontaneous opportunities to collab, still in the told album's lore, but with other people's touch is nice to diversify.
@@reasonexperts oh ok, it s init patch but its basic stuff, 2 saws slightly detuned, 3rd engine is wavetable Complex i pitched up the harmonics with fade sync modifier, and a bit of stretched harmonics to get a "metallic sound"...into basic distortion. But there s the Mercury + that plays a synced osc S/H pattern in the same time
I often play it in duophonic mode, so i can get a quick melody going on quickly. I add the verb early, and I use of the quantize and lag fonction a lot. 2600 sounds melodic and sweat if u put everything through lag filter, and go eazy on the filter. :)
One thing that is awesome is the enveloppe followeing function. i dont use it here but its a great feature. I use this preferably to CV ins in order it reacts just a tad bit lets say from an other device like EUropa or Grain, with their multiple stages Envs, or from a drum pattern.
It was the end of werld song for covhid so I feel same resonance with you on that although I shared it because it has same winding sound at peak of song
Thank you ! Yes it s one my genres of choice, and sometimes it turns out good. I am currently working on vocals for this one too. Thank you my friend! I like the combo Reason instruments + Cherry Audio instruments too. CA stuff is very unexpensive, that fits my budget very well haha, and sounds impressive.
I don T know how the other soft synths sound, since its not the only emulation made for this beast, but Cherry Audio stuff is cheap and to me it sounds really close to the original machine.
I love the sound of this but just tried reading the description and was immediately lost at the mention of Fourier Fast Transform - a long time since I've read about it at plain cursory level. Where would be best to start grasping a comprehension of signal processing so that even the video description is understandable? Also, is this plugin available as a VST somewhere?
From what i know, the only way you can play it is by getting REason as rack extension. SO i guess its quite expensive if you wanna use only this instrument. I know they released in the same time, a vst version of Europa , a wavetable synth, released in the same time. But they didnt do it for Grain i think :( And as for FFT you gonna be disappointed. i just copy/paste the text from the manual, in case people were interested but i don t know much about it. But I saw a video on the topic, and it was related to earthquake detectors. I watched it but i might need to watch it again obviously. In the context of sound manipulation i cannot explain it.
