I have a Contracting business established in 1994 that I build and do property maintenance and repairs. I also work on my own equipment and auto repairs. Follow along on my journey to see what project comes next.
I am having the same issue with the cap not being able to put on a locking band, I thought I must have gotten a reject cap because of the strait lip not rounded like the pipe to accept a locking band. I'm thinking about using some plyers to bend the lip rounded to put on a locking band. I am also going to put a locking band on the clean out cap on the bottom, it won't take much to take off the locking band to do a clean out and not worrying about it falling out. Thanks for your video, it's the only one that I found that mentioned anything about the cap issue.
I just did the same thing. wanted the bagger more to bag leaves off the tree than grass. So I just put it on, ( trying to beat a storm just like you) Supposed to snow tonight and I wanted to get the leaves off the lawn
surprised no one else chimed in but this has got to be one of the...how do I say it...worst instruction type video clips I've come across. Simply looking to find out how to adjust the valves on an X724 Engine a lot of superfluous low volume dialogue and vague is what I looked at.
@workwithkevin Guess my cousin & husband did not do any put it away maintenance. Found a guy on Facebook marketplace in my area. He had to do a lot- Clean the carb. Remove the automatic choke vacuum. Drain the gas. Change the oil. Change the fuel filter & hoses. + a few other tweaks, but for $220 (tip included), I now have a functioning generator. 👍 (I found the accessory add on outlets on Home Depot for $26 shipped to me by the end of the week).
Amazing tutorial 💯💪.. I bought a door, and I thought i was missing a part. You made this so way for me. Appreciate you for that tutorial 🙌 I'll subscribe to your channel. Thank you!!
I love your "let's figure it out together" approach. Just had the exact same issue with seldom used, sticky inner spring spigot. The dish soap trick worked like a charm. Thank you!
it’s a little extreme to say you got ‘scammed’…there was no exchange of money, no contracts signed. The guy most likely got tied up with whatever job he was working that day. He basically offered you free wood and delivery, payment being the convenience for him not to transport it further. Plus, whatever $ to take down that tree/trees. You and your son did more than your due diligence in getting the site ready, which is more than any customer would normally do. But just because the guy was a no show that day should not count as you getting scammed.
Not sure if the power wires you ran are heat resistant, THHN has a temperature rating of up to 90º F; the primary job of an electrician is to be a fire control technician; a Nichrome or Silicone wire should be used.
Kevin, Looks like I'll Be comment # 1 for your Video on "Generator interlock and inlet box install". I do appreciate your no nonsense, matter of fact way you demonstrated installing the interlock system and associated generator startup procedure. Tomorrow, as of this writing, I will be installing a generator kit. Trying to wrap my head around basically lining up to drill the holes, you helped alot in that. I appreciate the time you took in this video. Thank you.
Looking at 20:08 you can see how the freewheel rod is bent. My mower is 6 years old and the freewheel rod got so bent, I couldn't get it back into gear. I have the plastic General transmission. I bought a carburetor throttle swivel and a 1/4" metal rod, removed the flimsy rod, heated a 1/4" bolt with a propane torch, and enlarged the hole that the rod was in. I bolted the swivel on to the plastic trans tab (use the nylon lock nut & washer), cut, bent & threaded the rod. Now I have a very stiff rod that will not bend. To make this upgrade, just remove the left rear wheel, and it is easily accessible. 1 - 36" rod will make 2 disconnect rods, each 18" with a 4" handle(14" + 4"). Thread the handle into the swivel, then use the supplied nut to jamb and lock it into place. I moved the location the rod comes out the back, to the corner hole to the left of the keyhole shape. I have the Husqvarna ST 138 2015 model and it drives fine in reverse, but when I push the foot petal to go forward it starts driving in reverse as well.. Can not work it out for the life of me..?
