I'd moved from Littleton Colorado to Houston Texas as a Jr. in high school. I watched this game with all of my new Texas friends. I talked shit before the game, they talked shit when they went up and then Elway pulls THIS off. Solidified that I would ALWAYS stay a Bronco fan. GO BRONCOS! LET's GO BO!!!
Everything I watch this game it brings me back to 1981 when my dad and grandpa were alive and we we're watching thos game. We were so into it...and the Gmen won! What a memory!!!
😁 Bill Parcells and Jerry Jones, you brought the WRONG Drew to Dallas. You should've gotten Drew Brees from San Diego and not the fossil Drew Bledsoe from Buffalo. 😅
Something you will almost never see again. NFC conference #1 broadcast at AFC HOME fearlturing 2 sub 500 teams on a game blacked out locally. Turner musta had some pull this season. Looks like there was some last second pull out to do a Meadowlands extravaganza where Pat & John would do both Giant and Jet games, since CBS would feature wrap up show fol 3pm game. Jets @ Meadowlands would havta wait till next year 😮
Wow this game is about 43 years ago, Ancient football history from SF golden years. A great visit back. Many of these guys are gone now: Walsh, Fahnhorst, Quillan, Ayers, and others.
Big Cowboys fan, 18 years old then. I wrote down my prediction in my little notebook the day before, 21 to 17. I was right! Only, I managed to mix up the teams; I had Dallas as the winner.
This is the worst called game in NFL history. Check it out at 10:30, calling a long Dickerson run a touchdown even after the rams are lining up on first down. Hank Stram was just completely checked out here.
Bears won 16-9. NY Jets defense was so underrated. 1985-1986 everyone was talking about the Bears. The NY Jets held up pretty well considering the Bears were blowing teams out. The NY Jets offense line was horrible during Ken O’Brien era.
Not that it matters, this game is almost 50 years old. However, the refs threw the flag way BEFORE Payton broke the run and scored. The refs had no idea how the play would turn out, and it was blown dead anyway. Jeepers!!
Jaworski couldn't take advantage of a ham sandwich. Having said that, he was a little better than Richard Todd. Must be something about green uniforms.
