The last scene should have definitely been in the movie… it would have made the ending so much easier to follow… I’ve been searching for .. wait “why LA?”. Now I get it. Thank you deleted scenes 🎬.
This movie really takes a lot of liberties with the two events, from game 1 and 2. Melds them together , and it's kinda odd. So don't look for event timing accuracy or lore accuracy . Like the other movies, it's not official canon. However, we do get to see the famous S.T.A.R.S team in action. That alone may help long time RE players to overlook much of the strange story telling. As a movie on its own, it's not terrible. It seems to have a bit of b movie vibe to it, maybe unintentionally. But it's ok. Again , u get to see S.T.A.R.S head into the mansion and that is cool to see. All I've ever seen of the team was in photos mostly , so it was kinda fun playing along with the film and just enjoying them in the police station just joking around and being team mates and then heading out to the mansion via helicopter. Honestly, this film should of just stuck with telling game 1s story and doing it true to the canon of the game. But Hollywood always thinks they gotta fuck with everything to make it appeal to wider audience or something. Totally unnecessary how they did the movie in many ways. They could of saved more money by just focusing on the mansion , that's all they needed to do
I was watching this movie last night and it was super badass. Ray Liotta starring as a gambler is insane along with Giancarlo Esposito who was occasionally in Breaking Bad playing Gustavo Fring killed this role in the Movie Phoenix. Ray Liotta nailed it along with the other guys.
Plenty of actors and actresses are not attracted to each other. It is "work." I always thought Duckie got gypped. One of my favorite movies. I loved Duckie.
So if rdj played duckie molly would have sold it ? Thats bad acting. She obviously was attracted to andrew & wanted her character to wind up w/ the cute guy who treated her like crap & his dumb rich ftirnds. I always hated the ending. It was so unearned. Plus blaine & andi had like one date. Spaders character called him.out how his mom woupd never go for it. Hs senior movies annoy me b/c where do these bullies & brats wind up ? The same place in life. Blaine probably got sent to an ive league school & andi w/ zero money prob went to a community college or worked as a seamstress. Like im.sure blaine was giving up the family fortune & future to work.at a car wash & hang w/ andi. I hated this dumb ending. This is why mollys career crashed & burned by 89. John hughes had this teenager ss his muse . She wanted to always end up w/ the hot alpha male or cute guy she liked. I think she tanked the last dance b/c she was miffed they cast jon cryer who yes was dorky. In the breakfsst club she was fine being w/ the loser pot head b/c the actor was better thsn the short emilio esrevez & amh was another dorky kid w/ braces. In q6 candles she got the hot guy again. Never let a brat teen dictate casting & scripts. The only good part of this movie was the omd song & spader walking around w/ the great one liners. What a depressng stupid ending. Again molly flamed out badly after so much hype in the 80s as the next big thing. Sorry that rdj was the hot guy & his career went out of control after iron man but they cast cryer. Plus they were only gonna wind up buddies anyway. Plus her dress was hideous & her character was unlikeable.
John Hughes did Anthony Michael Hall and Jon Cryer wrong in the 80s. Hall was only guy without a girl in Breakfast Club and Cryer got cruelly friendzoned in this one.
@@rocktechinc lol true enough. And he got the girl in Hiding Out. But being as she was barely 18 and he was supposed to be in his 30s that might not be a good example.
This scene was shot in black & white first, then, when the buzz around Jimmy and East Of Eden was out, Jack Warner gave the okay for Rebel Without A Cause to be filmed in colour, so the scenes shot in black & white were reshot in colour.
For me, the lesson of this story is different; it's about the sexism of the audience. They wouldn't buy a girl choosing friendship over romance, but in the gender-swapped remake, Some Kind Of Wonderful, the audience would accept it. If the original ending had been retained, I don't think it would necessarily have meant her forsaking her true love, nor would the long term result necessarily have been for her to stay romantically with Duckie. Imagine a thought experiment: a gender-swapped remake of Who's Got Mail. (I know that You've Got Mail is already a remake of The Shop Around the Corner, which itself is a remake of the Hungarian play Parfumerie; that's not the point here.) In our remake, HER mega-business crushes HIS little shop that is his life's work, but we're supposed to accept it as a happy ending because they find true love together. That movie would never get made because the audience would not accept that ending; the soul-crushing destruction of his work would outweigh romance.
True enough. And gender swap Forrest Gump and tell me that would still be a beloved movie. Cracked RU-vid channel had a very interesting video about gender swapping classic movies and how the movie wouldn’t be accepted by audiences.
