It did drop it down to the very top of the shifter post.. It's about a half inch shorter now probably even 5/8's of an inch shorter.. Between the Steeda body Mount bracket and this ball the throw's feel so much better and it even feels like a short shifter a little..
Congrats man! I bought the same lighting blue a year ago and I’ve been modifying it ever since! It’s full bolt on now which makes such a difference! Enjoy it man!
Man your car looks sick. 🔥💯😤 I had just recently bought a 2016 mustang eco w only 7k miles on it a few months ago but man I still got my eyes on the GTs so I def will plan to get one after I enjoy this eco. But anyways man props to you and what a nice blue too 🙌
I live in a townhome that has a HOA (low fees and they dont do much) my garage stores my shell of a nova but I just got a mustang... Would it be weird to put a car cover on when parked in my drive way? Most of my neighbors are cool but I havnt seen a car cover in my neighborhood and wondering if its weird for a car cover in a HOA townhome
I do love Blipping the gas pedal though for sure.. I would love to have auto Rev Matching just to have that choice to turn it on and off though for sure..
Mod's done so far are, 1. Steeda Shifter Body mount. 2. Steeda 35lb Clutch assist spring. 3. Steeda Jack Stand Rails. 4. Steeda IRS Braces! A+ Mod.. 5. Billetworks weighted Shifter Ball.. 6. AM C&L Axle Back. 7. SR Xpipe. I like the raspier sound of the Xpipe vs the Hpipe but to each his own.. I think I came out with a decent sound for only spending $280 on the axle back and $150 on the Xpipe.. For $430 I think it sounds pretty good for not having long tubes plus between replacing the resonator and the stock mufflers I probably took an extra 40 lbs off the car too.. I know the C&L mufflers didn't weigh half as much as the stock mufflers.. And being that the car is a manual and stock they weigh 3650 lbs I'm betting she weighs about 3625 lb's cause those Jack rails I added weighed in at 22lbs, and the IRS braces were about a pound each.. I figure that weight because I removed about 50 to 70 lb's and added back about 25 lb's with the Jack Rails and IRS braces total..
Awesome car , the motor is the real deal ....🎉 I have a 2017 GT, she's a screamer, owned for six years, amazing cars.. these cars are drive by wire, you need pedal comander, I got the c&l version, it's a must have, so cheap and pedal response is immediate. Took 5 minutes to install. I paid $700 on a tune, and felt like it fell short of what the c&l version of the pedal comander did. 💯
So after about 2/3 weeks I realised I should have went with 20m instead of 25m but either way the 1" spacer looks way better than no spacer at all.. If you are getting that itch for new wheels like I was.. This is a wonderful way to scratch it.. They give your stock wheels a way better look and it changes the whole appearance of the car for the better.. They were only $150 bucks vs 3000 for a new set of wheels and tires.. And it free's up money to spend on other parts for the car..
The back Hub's went on Quickly about 10 minutes each but each front wheel took 20 minutes on the driver one and I got the passenger done in 15 minutes.. It took an hour and a half to do all 4 wheel's because of the back and forth, taking a break because it was 95 in the sun and looking for tool's thats are right in front of my face. I lost the lock lug key for 5 minutes, LOL.. But it came out nice and looks way better now.
This is how they get us to buy lowering springs too.. LOL Soon as you bring the wheels out even with the wheel well, it instantly makes you want to lower the car too.. LMAO These Companies really know what they are doing..
If you’re looking for an aftermarket catback exhaust I recommend the AWE Touring or the Magnaflow Competition Exhaust with the MRT H-Pipe, but be advised it drones a lot. Also the Steeda spring clutch makes a difference.
It sounds great.. There's some drone but I don't care.. I'm happy with the outcome especially because I didn't spend a lot.. Those Mufflers and tips were only $300 Buck's and everything else that sounded similar were $800 and up.. I'm happy I went to PT today and it was turning heads getting attention.. There's no more wondering if it's a V8 now LOL...
Keep In mind I never once went over 3300 RPM when Reving, and My God when it hit's above 4500 RPM it sounds great. The next Nice Morning we have I'm going to set the tripod up and do a cold start, and rev it up for real.. It sounds Rowdy with the C&L Axle Back and the Xpipe too.. The Combo is Great.. There is some drone cruising in 6th gear but so what..
Loved how it sound when you rev’d it a little outside the shop. Can’t wait to hear the cold start. Would also love to hear some clips with you really on it! Your build is going nice so far! Look forward to the rest.
The axle Back did.. I woke up Sunday Morning and it was sitting in the rain on the front Porch.. I opened the front door Sat Night around 7 PM and nothing was there so I don't know when they dropped it off.. Just Glad it showed.. But I still haven't got the Hub Centric wheel spacers, they are just lost in the sauce...
Look I have no doubt that American Muscle will make it right. But this kind of stuff is super frustrating.. And when you have time set up with a shop it's a bit tricky too.. So to up date.. The axle back was on the front Porch this Morning. It was 2 days late but not a big deal and it looks like they are sending me out another set of the Hub Centric Spacers too.. So like I said it does look like they will eventually make things right.. But it should have never happened in the first place..
This is Part 1. American Muscle SMH...... The Delivery Issues! Oh and sorry for the top of my head missing. I'm so mad I didn't feel like redoing this.. But anyway I am sure there's a Part 2 coming because now the exhaust hasn't shown up either... Amazing!
The Jack rails are great just because you can jack it from anywhere now.. But, the Star of the show are the Steeda IRS Braces!! The hardware Steeda gave me was different from what Steeda uses in their How To Vid on RU-vid. And CJ Pony also has a Good How To instal video, But anyway everything worked out we torqued everything to 50 lb's.. Even though along the pinch weld it says to do it to 45-46 lb's depending on who's vid you watch, but it came out nice. Zero vibration, and no change in the feel of the car but Big Piece of Mind when hammering on the car a little! It reinforces the rear of the car a lot more than PPL would think.. Ford uses lightweight and sometimes flimsy parts under there and this just holds everything together, Helping to keep the rear wheels from kicking out from each other. It also and main use is to stop wheel hop too.. After a month of driving around on them I'll come back with a video on what I think.. For now here's a Link to a How to Vid, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dEfnyw8_QPE.html
So I ran into the guy with the white Challenger over the weekend and it turns out it was the 345 not the Scat. He has work done on it though. I thought the 5.7L Hemi's only came manual and he has an auto but anyway it wasn't the Scat that I took down just for the record. But I do think under the right circumstance I can still keep up with a scat pack.. Like manual on manual Def. The reason I say that is because that 345 was on a tune and they are basically a second slower than the 392's in a quarter mile stock vs stock.. Anyway some cars hook and book and others will spin then reel you in.. And some of these guy's are running E85 and won't tell you either so Just have fun with it, and be safe..
Yeah, I just bought a super cheap cover from Amazon $40, but I have not tried it yet. All I want it to do is to stop the sap from my tree falling on the car. Every summer this tree leaks serious sap. My garage is full of lawn mowers, weed whacker and tools like most people. I could keep the stang in the street but some fool might be tempted to steal it so I think it is safer under the cameras in the driveway under the sap tree. At night I block it in with my daily work car. In NJ/ NY/ Philly area car theft has become a big problem.
