I see what you mean with the pops comment. Almost sounds like you're hearing a very distant rifle firing a little burst, they aren't deep/powerful pops just pitchy/synthetic. I love the cars that have bangs between shifts when WOT or the occasional big backfire when you downshift at high rpm or get off throttle after a pull. Is it totally stock exhaust right now? I have a 23m240 and was thinking of doing the catless downpipe with Dinan catback but don't want to deal with the headache of NY emissions :-(
Agreed, the pitchy/synthetic sound isn’t aggressive enough and it doesn’t do the car justice. It’s a fully stock exhaust as of right now, I’m going with VRSF for the Downpipe and still debating on the tomei exhaust.
