I noticed when I installed the top two screws it seems very tight and makes it hard to raise and lower the fishbowl. It’s almost like the screws and clips are going to pop out of the helmet. But if I loosen them they are only finger tight and I feel will fall out over time. Am I doing something wrong?
Which one you think is better in safety? The 150 or 155. I have the 155 and I think it fits better and the occipital keeps the helmet in your head better, but someone said that the 150 would be more safe. I dont know if im believing that
Both are great helmets! The shells are the same and both have similar padding on the inside, with the 155 updating some things like the rotating form pods, the spring-loaded occipital, and a deeper more natural fit.
It depends what you're looking for out of your stick. The weight is similar, both have stiff blades, but the 7X is more of a true mid-kick stick, while the FT4 has a hybrid, so it's a little lower on the stick. Each manufacturer's stick has a slightly different feel, so it could come down to your personal preference.
Installed on ccm FL40 M with provided hardware. It was quite difficult but it works. You have to hold the foam behind the holes to make it happen but its doable. Looks great. I saw in here that it wasn't compatible but incan confirm it is. Not easy though.
They may scrape a little as you play but shouldn't be too much. Make sure the J-Clips are on the correct side and screws are tight. If that doesn't help, and you are near a store, you can bring it in and one of our associated could take a look!
Upgraded to this from the FT670 a couple days ago, since my local shop had it on sale. I was fortunate enough to get the last lefty in 55/P29. It rips!!! Less effort to load but man, the results are way better! Stickhandling and feel is amazing, too. 👌🏼👌🏼
They are both low kick sticks, but the Trigger 9 is more of a hybrid between the Trigger 8 and Team stick, so it is heavier with a little less technology compared to the X5.
I bought a ccm vector helmet made in 2009 for $1 at the local thrift shop. The first thing I did was remove the cage on my medium sized Bauer helmet and attached it to the smaller helmet. I pulled the helmet all the way out and tightened it up. It fits snug, however the helmet does not rest an inch above eye level, more like 1 in a half or 2 inches. It's a size small, but I prefer it over my other one because when I shack my head left or right the helmet does not wiggle even a little bit from side to side, but what makes it work for myself is that the helmet does not feel uncomfortable on my head. I may need to move back to my Bauer helmet if it's 100% imperative to follow this particular instructional video. I just like the idea of using the ccm because it only cost me a dollar and looks sortof modern still.
These are guidelines to help people have a general idea of how a helmet should fit. Everyone has a different preference for comfort. The most important thing for a helmet is making sure it doesn't move around and will keep you safe from impacts, falls etc.
New helicoid blade does NOT last breaks so easy my kid and another 3 kids broke this stick 4 days Into hockey camp kidd are 12 ..ridiculous when u are paying so much it should last. It's a good stick but only last 1 week if ur lucky
The boot angle on the Shadow pad is slightly taller than the 100 degree boot on the HL2. The Hyperlite 2 will sit about a half inch lower in the knee. Most customers opt to go with the same size between the two families. Hope this helps!
Few times a year?!?! Who the hell markets a skate to only be worn a few times a year?!? You gotta be kidding me. I've played with these for a year and a half now of adult league games twice PER WEEK!! and they are great. Incredibly light and have held up to abuse with zero complaints. What a terrible marketing video no way Bauer would let this video slide
These skates are geared towards a beginner who skates occasionally. It's a recommendation but it doesn't mean it's only for that. With the materials used they can break down easier and may not have enough support. Glad to hear you like them and they are still great skates!
It's closer to the JetSpeed because that stick has a hybrid kick-point, a hybrid between mid and low. The Tacks is a mid-kick stick, but it's a higher kick point than both the JetSpeed and the Catalyst 7X.
I like the tacks but I keep breaking the toe of the blade early. I’m looking for a mid kick p28 with a lie over 5. Between True and Warrior (both put a 5.5 lie on their p28), which stick is a real mid kick ? I hate variable kick points.
The Warrior Novium and TRUE Catalyst would be good options for a mid-kick stick. Here is what we currently have in stock in Senior - www.purehockey.com/c/hockey-sticks-composite-senior?mfg_web_name=TRUE%2cWarrior&product_line=Novium%2cCatalyst
It does look very similar! You can also get a red HyperLite 2 in a non-custom stick - www.purehockey.com/product/bauer-vapor-hyp2rlite-stick-colors-senior/itm/62323-41/
If you get your scanned foot in one of our stores with the Bauer scanner, we will send that to Bauer, and they will make a 3D mold of your foot to construct the boot.
I just bought a new fishbowl Bauer senior on a reakt 150 and the top clips are close together so the fishbowl moves side to side unless I fully buckle the entire helmet is this the new design?
The Re-Akt 150 and Concept lll have been around for at least a few years now, so it isn't a new design. As long as it's not moving when buckled and sits properly on your face, then it should be installed right with the correct fit.
Randomly got a used one of these X5 Pros in a bundle with a CCM FT5, a Super Tacks AS4 and a Sherwood TMP Pro. This X5 Pro feels so much lighter in the blade and toe it's not even comparable. It's an amazing feeling stick. Was super surprised to see how much worse a stick can feel when the blade and toe are thicker and heavier. The FT5 and Tacks AS4 are 30-40% thicker in the blade, making it feel slow and sluggish. My 1 characteristic I'll always look for going forward is a thin, light feeling blade, because it makes the entire stick handle as if it were half the weight of an FT5 even though they're within a few grams of eachother.

Yes, these skates would be a good option, especially if you're looking to stay within a certain budget. You wouldn't want to go to a lower model because they won't have the support a competitive U-18 player would need.
Skates can be expensive, but we do have some great options for skates under $300 - www.purehockey.com/c/ice-hockey-skates-senior?price_sale=7%2c6%2c5%2c4%2c3

The M50 pro has a couple of upgrades from the M5 Pro. The boot in the M50 Pro is made with 3D Lasted 12K Carbon Curv Composite for durability and support, and the holder is the all-new PowerFly. The M5 Pro skate is currently on sale, so if you're looking to stay within a certain budget, that would be a great option!
If you have tried the largest helmet options, you could try to go to your closest Pure Hockey location to get your head scanned for a custom helmet. A custom helmet is expensive but a scan could be a good way to see what fit would be best. www.purehockey.com/product/ccm-super-tacks-x-total-custom-hockey-helmet-custom-design/itm/56874-2/
Everyone is different with how they like their skates to fit. 1-1.5 sizes down from your shoe is a starting point for people new to the game and unsure how skate sizing works.
Not true whatsoever. It depends on each skate. One skate is 1 size down from my shoe size, another is 2 sizes down. Both are CCM, one is a Ribcor the other is a Tacks.
@@sb_hs988 Not true, at all. I have CCM skates, one is 1 size down from my shoe size, the other CCM is 2 down from my shoe size. I see these skates every day and you what said is dead wrong,.
