I like making journals from composition books like these. Today I bought 40 more to make. Everyone does them differently. I always get ideas of how to cover, what adhesive to use, how to finish inside, different ways to make pockets etc. Always helpful.🙂
Where is the " punch" part of the board?? It says to punch a half circle in envelope to make it easier to get card out. So where is the punch out button like on the other envelope boards? This isn't a true punch board.
Really need some help with this.... I recently acquired older model PT-1750 and really like it... However, I am unable to change font text size when printing TWO line labels. It will only print the two lines in really small character text size. There are 5 to choose from and all work with a single line label, but not with two lines of text. No issues with the single line printing; all sizes available there. I am using the widest 18mm tape which appears to have plenty of room for two lines with larger character text. But user manual does not address this and Brother support is of little help also.... Any ideas if larger character text is available when printing two lines... or only the small default size 1 text...?? .................THANKS...
I just picked this set up during the warehouse sale and am excited by your ideas. I became obsessed with the little bird die set! They are adorable and fun to make in so many colors. Thanks for sharing!
Honestly, these were not great sellers. People mostly look at them and decide to make their own. I mostly ended up giving these as gifts. If you sell them I hope you have good luck
@@2006dedra no I would do them only for myself, as people are more and more moving into digital instead of paper writing. I do junk journals, and even they are becoming harder to sell. Due to the amount of time required I found you really can't recuperate at a decent price, so I am creating digital items, while paper ones are just for friends and family gifts. The same is with sewing and quilting. All these crafts require a lot of time which you just can't charge for. 💞
I’ve made quite a few of these and it’s fun to see a different perspective on making them. I do fold the paper to the inside and glue it down, so I can make a smaller liner to finish it off. Like you, I add my ribbon with the DS tape to the inside cover before adding that liner. Your books are beautiful and I never thought of adding pockets-So Useful!!! Thanks for sharing.
This is a beautiful collection I used to subscribe a year ago I did againg but I notice echo park is sending the boxes late than before maybe is me lol I still love echo park thanks for sharing ❤
I know this is a older video, but I didn’t even know this board existed till a few days ago and I found it on Amazon and ordered it. Can’t wait to play with it.
I just found out about it last week! COV sure messed everything up. Then I moved, and working so much, haven't touched a piece of paper in three years. Not kidding. Everything is in storage right now. Ordering paper right now just to play with this. :)
Your cards turned out nice. I agree that the stamp and die added so much to the kit, it was worth the price for me. Now it's just not as useful to me. I used to subscribe for several years. Now I need to find something else that sparks creativity for me. This kit no longer does it. That is just how I feel about it for me. Others may find it to be a good value though. Oh yes and all the other changes they did are not good at all either. 😞
I have been getting the Echo Park Paper Co subscription boxes for a few years. They have a card making one every other month. No card bases but a great value I think.
I agree that the sentiments included in the die-cuts and puffy stickers are not especially card-friendly. Lucky for me I have a lot of sentiment stamps and dies in my stash. I'm probably the only one, but I don't like those "gems" either since they are so lumpy in an envelope. I do like the reduced amount of patterened paper, since I always had guilt-inducing levels of leftovers.
I am totally not a fan of the new kit. I want the dies and stamps, full size cardstock and the gold or silver cardstock. Not a fan of the totally plant theme and I won’t use a lot of the stickers as sentiments either. It feels like a huge waste of money and with such limited options as a maker. I will be cancelling the cheap and useless card kit.
I like how your cards turned out. I too am disappointed they discontinued the stamp set in the kits and I am seriously considering canceling my subscription.
@@mariemullan8682 I think I would skip all the pockets then and get photos printed in small sizes to fit each layer. You would need to make sure you use adhesive that won't break down the photos. There are tape runners and liquid adhesive - just look for something that says it's archival safe.
Happy New Year! Your goals section / tracker seems like it will be very helpful . Great set up . I hope you recover quickly and have a wonderful time on cruise with hubby and beach trip with kids!
Those metal discs are very pretty. I have bought planners for years and this is the first year I won't be buying one. I love decorating them but I really don't plan. So I figure I would just use my journals since I have so many of them. I also notice that I don't go back to information once I write it down which is why I liked the Happy Planners. They are good for adding and deleting. I even tried to use planners for memory keeping but I didn't keep up with it. Good luck with your system. Can't wait to see how it works for you. Thanks for sharing!
They are pretty discs! I'm great at planning, it's the follow thru of my plans I have a problem with. Lol I also live pretty notebooks and journals. Thanks for watching.
This year I started using the dashboard layout in the Happy Planner. I really like it. I don’t need a daily layout and the dashboard helps me to see my lists and my week side by side. Good luck with CTMH. I am in the same place with my business. Hope this set up works for you! Merry Christmas and Happy 2023!
