This channel is about a simple philosophy for life. Elevate Every Moment. An active pursuit of trying to do that next thing to your fullest potential. I see this success in several people throughout my network and have adopted it in my own life. Teach your children this philosophy. Give your people everything you can and I promise your life will be more fulfilling and exciting. Stuck in a rut, that's ok! I have been also, and believe it or not, even those people you admire have been there too. But, having an Epic Life is not as hard as one would imagine. This channel explores that path and along the way, we might learn something together. I started this Channel with an emphasis on Automobile content and there still will be videos about that of course. But, we can throw more life stuff in as well and help each other live a Simply Epic Life!!!!

Absolutely wrong. The 6.2,6.5 diesels are good engines designed fuel efficient option that also offered real diesel torque for truck use. Only the later digital controller had some issues. Military 6.5 were still all mechanical and didn't suffer the same issues. These are real Detroit diesel engines as well not based on a gasoline engine The Detroit 6.2,6.5 was a successful engine as many are still in use today. There are real bad engines out there, but these little Detroit V8 diesels aren't One of them.
Let me know what you think about the before and after. In person, it was pretty drastic. Also, let me know how. you have handled this type of job with other equipment. And of course, thanks for watching!!!
No doubt but this tool makes it 10 times easier and leaves a nicer finish in my opinion. Have done it both ways and I would choose Harley Rake in a split second over others. Thanks for watching and commenting.
have an 85 suburban with a 6.2 with a million 2 on it. what killed it was the oil cooler line rusted and blew all the oil out on the road. Still got 30 mpg towed great but wasn't fast. overall it was great.
My 6.5 was just cruising down the road and blew a rod. I am pretty sure oil pump went out. Now I don't have any 6.5's. Miss the sound. Thanks for watching
@@SimplybEpic would love to convert my 67 f100 to 4x4 one day. But right now I’m just trying to get back to stock height since the previous owner lowered it.
I know I’m late to the game but just a heads up for everyone. A lot of good info here but one very important thing. Don’t do what this guy did and run your vehicle for a week with a failing alternator. Continuing to drive a 6.0 till your accessories shut down is a bad idea!!! You can very easily take out your FICM!!!! (Very expensive) 🤦🏻♂️
Well I sold it so a new owner is experiencing a really cool truck. There might be some issues with an old 6.5 with 215k but nothing too horrible. If you’re getting a good deal would go for it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@SimplybEpic well who ever bought is definitely having a good time for sure! Yeah I'm looking at $5k on this truck, and looks like it's been a farm truck all it's life from what i can see. I personally need the truck for hauling an 8k travel trailer, and having something cool i can work on 😆
Anyone who owns a 6.5 needs to know NOT to use a cheap foreign part on its IP system, even a cheap cable can cause issues. Previous owner used a cheap eBay kit that I have had to completely replace with a Stanadyne PMD (but the one I bought came with a cheap cable!). Leroy Diesel makes his own cables in Texas and the 6' relocated PMD cable I bought from him changed the way my truck runs! You can also buy a 2 quart oil filter to expand this motor's oil capacity, which was smaller than the PowerStroke and Cummins competitors' capacities.
I have an 09’ h2 with the 6.2 and 6L80 that is supercharged. I started out with a 07’ h3 and loved it. I recently purchased two red 07’ h3’s for my two boys. They are both getting rebuilt and 5.3 LS swapped. I’ve always thought that a boosted v8 in a h3 would be the perfect platform
I know some people have a hard time believing this, but Harbor Freight has some good tools. Are they all good? No, I can speak from experience. The Bauer line isn’t that bad, and it’s actually improving on quantity of 20 volt tools and their respective performance. Some people just can’t or won’t grasp that concept.
I picked up another one. Shouldn’t have let that last one go but the money was right. They are great trucks. Might have more content soon on this other excursion. We will see. Thanks for watching.
most of these setups i have seen seem to place the spare tire closer to the passengers side and the Jerry can on the driver side...i guess in theory the heavy spare tire offsets the weight of the driver for a more balanced load.
My first truck was a 6.2. My second truck was a 6.5. My third truck was a 6.0. My fourth truck is a 6.4. All of which have a bad rap. Everyone of them were great trucks and engines. I’ve only had minor issues with them. Before anyone says anything, I sold each truck to upgrade to a newer model. There was no other reason why I’ve had four diesel trucks.
The 6.5 has a massive following. AM General still produces these engines today for the humvee. There’s a significant marine application. Bill Heath made a career of manufacturing performance enhancements with his company Heath Diesel, of which was just sold when Bill retired. BMI manufacturers the 6.5 optimizer engine. There’s a cult following for the 6.5
I currently own a 2009 Hummer H3 with 3.7 liter 5 cylinder engine with 121, 700 plus miles that I put on it. It was never abused or driven hard. Mostly Highway miles. The only problem I have with my Hummer is the ECM -- engine control module might be going bad. It was displaying several dashboard codes. I had the ECM reprogrammed by a good programmer and he cleared all codes for 1 day. Then I parked it for a day and the same dashboard codes displayed when I started the engine the next day, I let the engine warm up for a few minutes and the dashboard lights went off and the check engine light came on steady. So I connected my diagnostic tool under the dash and it was showing the O-2 sensor was bad and the EVAP valve was bad.
Nice video bro. Thanks a lot it help me a lot when installing it. But Iunfortinatly I broke the clips / fastener into my passenger side . But still ok I just figure it out to put something in it. I have question. Is your pillar lights have a sequential thing when you start your car? I watch some video , and they have sequential light when starting the car. But mine I don’t have it. But when I try it before connecting positive & negative it has. But now I installed. When I start my car it doesn’t show up. Please I advise & I really appreciate it thank you in advance.. cheers..
