Auntie had a good monk weapon for you. I didn't know when i first started playing but making someone wet makes them vulnerable to lighting (double damage).
The monk is pretty nutty yeah? I'm really interested in seeing what happens with this class. I always choose a ranger normally so this will be a fun learning experience!
Hape a dupe randomly climb a vertical wall and get stuxk in an unreachable area once that was under construction. To this day I still don't know how they got there.
You can't use ethanol like petroleum right? Have I been literally overlooking fuel for power in my face? I thought it was only useful for rocket fuel! Uh oh
Thank you very much and it's so awesome that you are beginning to enjoy the content! I hope that you enjoy the antics that I get up to as I am learning the base game without any DLC! There's also plenty more to come because I'm still on this series currently. Welcome to The Crash!
If you click on the Lavatory, it says: 5 kg per use of Water -> 11.7 kg per use of Polluted Water. So it more than doubles the amount of water each dupe use.
Thank you so much. I'm still working on all the information in the game. You'll see me struggle through a bit of things as I push on. I didn't know it DOUBLES the water. That's interesting information
Aquatuner: the measuring point is one earlier than the "pull in" point, you get some cold spots. You can mitigate this with the liquid reservoir, which will even out the temp of the liquid in pipe. You could put the reservoir almost anywhere in loop, except chamber. Metal refinery: refinery keeps storing the hot liquid and keeps warming it, so when ever you replace the pipe, it will break due extreme heat. In that building there is separate "intake" (tank) and "output" (tank). That is why you see many liquid values there. You could empty the building, although that could lead a lot of steam (depending on temps).
@@LetholorCrash I mean those would "equalize" the temp, as there is only one temp inside the liquid reservoid. So then pipe holds almost same temp in every bubble, while now it can vary like 10-20 degrees, even more and if sensor looks other bubble and aquatuner handles other, you might end up very cold water.
@@LetholorCrash You protect the rockets with doors, when you want to launch them you open them. But I think the gantry is one block too right. At least mine is one block right.
I guess you figured out already, you need to go to space to get data banks (using research module). You are correct, in DLC you get them also from gravitas buildings and for example analyzing geysers. In DLC you have also rocket building (inside rocket), which creates data banks. In "vanilla" version, you don't even see inside the rocket. Also did you noticed that your pilot is now sitting in the rocket and waiting for the launch. She went there around 1:32:32. You should probably release her for time being, and when rocket is full of steam then assign her. Also that water sieve is missing tile, so that is why it does not work (next to sporechid's).
Ok I'm not going crazy, I didn't have on the DLC for the data banks there! Thanks for that!! I also didn't notice that she went inside the ship, I thought that was going to happen but didn't see her go in there immediately so I assumed she didn't go. I even said that I should remember to replace that tile when I placed that gas pipe and I didn't do it! GAAHHH!! Thanks a bunch!
I am not totally sure, but are you pumping oil to the SPOM? At least it seems that some oil is going up. Also I think it has been said somewhere that two scanners 15 blocks apart will provide enough cover to find out meteor showers with enough certainty.
Ok. I missed the scanner comment. Looks like I'll add some more to that and it also feels like we're about to start making rocket stuff soon! Is this "end game"?
Or maybe you should try Frosty DLC, I think I heard that you have it? Edit: also telescope can see through mesh tiles, and window has just minor visibility decrement, so those can protect from regolith falls.
That's pretty smart to use see through tiles 😂😂 I forgot all about windows and all! I do have the Frosty DLC. Maybe that'll be a fun thing to fail at a bunch as I learn next :D
sending oxygen into space? just use a high pressure gas vent, that can go up to 20kg of oxygen per tile but use an atmo sensor to limit the vent to under 5kg pressure so the dupes don't get the popped ears debuff
Be careful or you'll teach me something. Idk anything about the popped ears, I just know it's a thing from deconstructing gas resivours. Tell me more please
I will add an atmo sensor but then I'll have to redo the air stuff that I do have going on. The O2 is backing up otherwise. And clogging up the system.
You can absolutely run crude oil as coolant. It is even better (can go lower) than polluted water. Or you can use petroleum, which is one step more better. Also that liquid lock door close to vent, you probably will get trouble with that (too hot). And when that is gone the steam will heat up the lock. I am not totally sure how that tamer even works, as you will get polluted oxygen there and that will "compete" in that chamber with steam. Not sure how that works, never done it. Iron volcano has no cooling for steam engine and power. Also you might want to prevent ruby using suits until her agility is "enough", as she is slow. Ofc transit tubes would help :)
Nice progress there. I am really intrested about the bottom tamer, as I never have tamed the (hot) steam vent. You also have not yet (I think) sent rocket to skies.
@@LetholorCrash Much easier its to achive that just with normal button and do this manually, those "checks room" are weird to use ;) Anyways that weird setup , why you want let your dupe to go inside hot room without suitsSetup it once correctley and no one even need to go ther again :) Oni its hard game, i recomend check some tutorials if u catch whats going on then u can upgrade your setups ;)
I was trying something new and trying to see if it worked in a different way than the "standard builds". I'm looking up some other tutorials but not trying to expose myself to too much that I haven't seen yet. I'm able to make it to the mid game so far so it's time to experiment with the different ways to cool and make those builds. Thanks for the advice!
I didn't check the heat on the room until it was too late or I would have had them go around the other way. I have to adjust that build a little bit so that it'll work as intended as well :P
Trying to avoid liquid lock? tbh I would have given up and made one already... 1) You want vacuum in that aquatuner chamber, BUT not around the steam turbine, because in vacuum things keep the heat themselves and overheat. 2) Sporechid goes to flower pot, the help-page in game is wrong. 3) Also dreckos eat mealwood (the plant) indeed, so you just grow them in the room. 4) One more thing, I think you made aquatuner from gold amalgam, I am not sure if it last long, steel is better (and probably what you intented). 5) Last tip, put "egg shells to lime forever" in rock crusher, they have no other use.
I gave it a good try but I think a liquid lock is the cheapest way to go indeed. 1) Ahhhhh, that's a good call! I'll adjust that so we don't burn the turbine up! 2) Flower Pot! Got it, I've been tricked by the help page!!!! 3) Yeah my brain is breaking from having to do a build for them to live and eat inside of. Turning mealwood into plastic is so strong though!!!! 4) I surely didn't mean to make it out of gold amalgam. That's probably why they didn't use the steel on the ground when I deconstructed it to make the new one! Bollocks! 5) Notes, I will adjust!!
59:53 I think you found a bug. yes it showed that Devon has 10 skill on digging, but after you pressed the priority button, it changed. Odd. That gas sorting system in the middle of the base is something 😆
So it's good for getting from place to place as well as the manual generator? Something else I miss in that? No skills specifically that benefit from athletics?
Oil well is not connected properly. That is input (of water), the oil itself just spills out. Also Oil well needs a floor (mesh tiles are best). Just use pump to pump oil up to oil refinery.
Your line from the oil refinery should go to a tank or some kind of storage, so that your generator can last a long time. The oil refinery needs to be worked often to produce much petroleum, and if you don't have a backlog, you'll run out of power trying to make fuel.
Your SPOM is not working properly, your airpressure in base is sometimes 30g, when it should be around 2000g. Also carbon skimmer does not need the automation at all. It only skims carbon, if there is any, otherwise it wont run. And you are pumping natural gas to space-space-space, when you could run your natural gas generators with it, as you are also having probs with power. Also you venting out good gases, like oxygen. SPOM is really the prio one in this case. Quick fix could be many oxygen diffusers and algae.
If you want dupes enjoy mess hall or great hall bonus, each one needs their own mess table (at least I think so, now you made me pondering, if that is true).
