Personally I think Jtoh and gd both have things that are harder than the other game. -First off, yeah, Jtoh is harder to originally learn because of the amount of stuff you have to do. -GD top levels are WAY harder than Jtoh top towers, stuff like Tidal Wave is SO much harder than stuff like ToSF or even most nil towers(not CoV, CoV is impossible. Overall though they are 2 completely different games and comparing the actual difficulty of certain levels is always going to extremely inaccurate no matter how you do it.

I am the new RU-vidr: Which game is better? Geometry Dash or JToH? We will divide them into subcategories and see for ourselves. How good is the easiest level?: Starting with JToH, the easiest tower would be MAT, located in Ring 2. For beginners, it would br ToAST located in Ring 1 or ToZD located in Zone 1. MAT has nothing at all, so now we would start with ToAST. It works fine as a tutorial tower and has a nice gradient. It gives a nice understanding of more advanced Roblox physics and a few glitches. ToZD is more complicated but better than ToAST. The tower expects you to play ToAST first though, so I will skip on explaining it into further detail. For Geometry Dash, it would be Stereo Madness or ReTRaY. I won't go info ReTRaY because it is a custom level by DiMaViKuLoV26, so it technically doesn't count. So we are left with Stereo Madness, the first level of the game. Similar to JToH, it gives you a nice understanding of the game's physics. Although, some parts don't work well as a first level, such as the two triple spikes past 60 percent. JToH would be better for the easiest level in this case. How good is the hardest level?: JToH has CoIV as it's hardest tower, at the highest difficulty, Unreal. Although ToSF still exists at high Unreal, no one has beaten it yet which makes it technically not the hardest level. GD has Tidal Wave by OniLinkGD as it's hardest, at #1 on the Demonlist. It is verified by Zoink. CoIV is very creative, having a rainbow floor, and a RoBeats and Colorful Stage kind of rhythm game. Although it is hard, the difficulty is Unreal. Overall one of the best towers in the game. Tidal Wave also has some good creativity, with good design and good backgrounds. So, in my opinion, Tidal Wave is better. How good are the more popular RU-vidrs?: Both games has a handful of RU-vidrs, so I will list down the more popular ones. JToH RU-vidrs: RealAheeto: Entertainment Ademiere: Guides ViloLand Omega: Entertainment CRP: Entertainment and guides Skitsuna: Completions Geometry Dash: Wulzy: Entertainment Juniper: Entertainment GD Colon: Advice EricVanWilderman: Entertainment Vortrox: Entertainment Zoink: Completions npesta: Entertainment Doggie: Entertainment SiKky: Entertainment SdSlayer: Entertainment Nexus: Completions Neiro: Completions Waboo: Official Events Stallion: Entertainment Geometry Dash has a lot more RU-vidrs that are more popular, so GD wins on this subcategory. Which game is more official?: GD is the definitive answer, due to the fact that the official account, RobTopGames has 15 Million subscribers and host yearly nominations. Which game has more feautures?: Both games has alot of feautures, although GD wins because of the reward system and other stuff. Which game has more events?: GD doesn't really have much events, though JToH has a Halloween, April Fool's, Christmas and much more. JToH has more events than GD. Which game is more balanced?: GD is more balanced because of Roblox's faulty physics and crashing systems everywhere. Now, with all the questions above, what is the better game? JToH - Best Easiest Level, More Events. GD - Most RU-vidrs, More Balance, More Feautures, More Official, Best Hardest Level. So, Geometry Dash is the better game. Although there can be a lot more subcategories, we don't need 500 subcategories to see which game is better. I can also answer some questions related to the games if given.

i would say since the games are very similar in objective, GD, the game with more people and more time to push the skill ceiling, is definitely harder. This is just talking about proportions: the top players in GD are much "rarer" than the top players in obbies simply because GD has a larger playerbase

For me JToH has always been harder due to it seemingly being harder to practice (hear me out). On GD if I want to practice a level of any difficulty, I can usually download a copy of the level I want in about 10 seconds and then place my startposes. But on JToH, I've found that at least for my skill level, my only options for practice are vertical mobility or searching for hours to find a practice place or a copy of the tower when those seem to only be common for the upper tier towers, and if I can't find a practice place or any models I can copy into studio, or even the original uncopylocked tower place to bring into studio, I'm just stuck with brute forcing the tower until I eventually get it. Practice on GD just feels more streamlined and accessible for all difficulty levels. And in general, practicing a level to get good at it is going to be easier than brute forcing a tower to get good at it (though, once again, practice does seem to become more accessible as you go to higher difficulties). But maybe a steeper learning curve does not automatically make JToH harder? There are all sorts of different ways to look at these types of things. In the end, I look at difficulty by how easy or hard it is to get better at each respective game, rather than what the peaks of their playerbases currently are. yapfest over

i've always thought of jtoh to be significantly harder. when i think of this debate, (to be fair i never knew there was a debate, only thought of the comparison) i tend to think of the potential limits in difficulty. i feel this argument isn't too difficult to establish as jtoh having more inputs makes the hardest physically possibly obby to be harder than geometry dash's hardest physically possibly level. geometry dash - you can practically beat any level through practice mode (assuming you have the patience, and if you would like to slow the game down using megahack), as there is only one input we could represent it with binary as 1 meaning click, 0 meaning no click, and the seperation being an input of time (for example a level could be completed as 00011001000 etc.) jtoh - no matter how much time you have, how much you slow the game, it can still be complex as you need to know the right angle, and you have to simultaneously time DIFFERENT inputs, and there are many glitches, as well as there being very complex physics and gameplay styles - (such as trusses, wallhops, ledges, long jumps,etc.) this is just my opinion, correct me if i'm wrong or smth idk (i think i yapped a bit)
@MHossain2004
@MHossain2004 9 часов назад
Do not underestimate the difficulty even when slowing the game down in gd. Game modes such as ship and robot become arguably harder when slowed down. And hacking should not even be done in any of those games. If geometry dash has levels that are easier than tower of hell than why not make one of your own gd level that is. Keep in mind that every level in gd must be beaten by a human to be posted on the servers, you do not have to do that in tower of hell which is an unfair advantage. If that somehow doesn’t matter then there’s no shot you would think cyclocyc is easier than tower of hell.

@aarneon24

I really think GD is harder because you have no *TIME* to do the clicks while in JTOH you have more Time to do them. Plus the wave gamemode you dont just click click click you also have to hold sometimes. That also applies for ship. There are like >200 frame perfects in the hardest level in GD, Each of them requires to be at the exact frame and a frame does not last very long
@MHossain2004
@MHossain2004 9 часов назад
Your hardest is literally a hard demon or smt, it looks like you’ve beaten some difficult levels in tower of hell. Your way more experienced and better at tower of hell than gd. So ofc your going to gd is easier since you’ve never went through the pain of beating the hardest levels in the game. And about that comparison you did at the end, Classic geometry dash levels have no checkpoints most of the time, dieing sends you back to the begging. Imagine that happening while you’re trying to beat the hardest level ever in the game. If you want endurance in gd play a level like eon, it’s an hour long which tests if you can control your nerves enough. Complexity is the entirety of gd itself, multiple game modes and mechanics when mixed together takes a lot of learning to master. Gd levels are insanely difficult to learn as it’s mostly muscle memory. Do not expect to read the entire level in classic mode without a care in the world. Especially with levels like limbo with the sole purpose of being a five minute extremely difficult memory level! To sum it all up, if you play gd more you will eventually come to the conclusion that geometry dash is blatantly harder than tower of hell. Try beating tidal wave, an extreme demon, in “a week” because apparently your supposed to beat the highest category of levels with the hardest of the hardest levels in under seven days💀 Just get better👍 Cool vid though

I think that both are equally as hard because the skill ceiling of both games can get so high to the point where no human can really do them. Take for example things like Citadel of Void are so hard that no human can realistically beat them. This same thing applies for levels in geometry dash like Silent Circles or other levels that are considered above the skill range of a human being. If we are talking about things that are considered humanly possible in both communities, someone would have to be a top player in JToH and GD to even have a valid opinion.

ok ok so I've seen you guys saying gd is harder and heres my answer: JtoH is much MUCH newer meaning we haven't had the time that gd has had to push the limits of the game. I honestly thing GD is much harder, yes, JtoH does have extremely precise timings but gd doesn't have breaks, you can't pause in the middle of an extreme demon and not die. JToH is honestly much easier mainly because of the skill level that is currently set. Either way, great video and keep it up!!!

JToH is forgiving, doesn't require frame perfects and it's a fodian game, Geometry Dash isn't. in JToH If you fall you can "save" yourself by landing on a platform, if you get hit you don't die instantly and you have much more control over the player. This isn't even a fair comparison, there are many games that have potential to be harder than GD, those being: Osu, N++, Modded Celeste, adofai. And probably many more. I'm not in the Jtoh community but i doubt that any map took someone more than 2 weeks and hundreds of thousands attempts to "verify" If in Jtoh, every bit of damage you took, every wall you hit, every time you stopped, caused you to start from the beginning then imo it could be comparable or even harder than GD

As a very high level GD player and solid JToH player (beaten some SCs), GD is miles harder than JToH will ever be. Both games have communities that try to push the limits of the game, but since GD has way more players, it's obviously harder because the skill ceiling can rise faster. It's as simple as that.

Now my hardest tower is ToIM but my hardest gd level is Extreme Park so most of this is observation of others GD will be harder, for 3 reasons 1. The community is bigger 2. The levels are orders of magnitude shorter than towers so there's less room to fail 3. There's less focus around easy levels These 3 reasons are why the skill ceiling of GD moves much faster than of JToH If a game's community is bigger, there's statistically more people who are going to push the skill ceiling which is why in GD theres like 50 best players ever while in JToH there's only like 3. If a level or tower is short, it's gonna take less time for each attempt, leaving room for more and more attempts to be done and for the skill ceiling to be pushed. If a level or tower is long, it's gonna take more time for each attempt, making less and less attempts per day. Most GD levels are like 1.5-3 minutes while JToH towers are usually 10-90 minutes. Even if the length makes it harder and sometimes more fun, you will only be able to do a few attempts per day. Another thing to note, is that GD has much more punishment than JToH, where if you crash anywhere in the level back to 0% you go, but in JToH if you fall, you might be able to save yourself on a platform below. Although, this isn't true for descending towers like ToFaF where if you fall, assuming there is no safety net, you do have to start over. The third and final reason is a bit complicated, and so i dont want to say it *grilling* i just want to publish a comment for gods sake In conclusion; at the current rate things are going, GD will always be harder but if JToH: 1. gets a surge in popularity (which Purgatorio might help bring); 2. towers get shorter (like Ikea Tower is the only verified unreal tower to not bank off length); 3. difficulty curves are adjusted to make SC towers accessible and 4. SC(+)s are much more encouraged, JToH has the potential to get miles harder than GD.

I don't think one could be harder than the other. Both communities continue to grow, and as they grow, they beat harder levels/towers. And that only causes people to create even harder ones. There is no true limit on how hard it could go, unless you make something that is humanly impossible, such as TON 618 in gd. But nevertheless, you can't say one is harder than the other, as they both will continue to grow in difficulty. Geometry Dash could be said as harder, but that would be because the game has had more time to develop. Both have their own advantage that makes one harder than the other. JTOH might have more complicated controls, but pausing in Geometry Dash usually ruins your consistency. Although I am more of a gd player myself, I have played through JTOH as well. Both games are quite challenging and fun to play though!

Here's my two cents on geometry dash equivalents to jtoh difficulties. any of my friends would hear me yapping about this theory for ages. Auto - Auto Easy - Walk a Slope Normal 2* and 3* - Effortless Hard 4* and 5* - Easier than easy Harder 6* and 7* - Easy and Medium Insane 7* and 8* - Hard Easy demon - Difficult Medium demon - Challenging Hard demon - Intense Insane demon - Remorseless Extreme demon - Subdivided between soulcrushings. Insane would be somewhere from Acu to Glide difficulty (pretty easy extreme), Extreme would be Bloodbath to Killbot (Quite the challenge for any player), Terri would be Digital Descent to Kowareta (almost list demon difficulty, insanely hard), Cata is ouroboros to crimson planet (the whole extended list, which is placements #75-150) horrific is cold sweat to limbo (borderline impossible, placements 23-75 on the demonlist), Unreal which would be from Combustion to Tidal wave (the hardest completed levels), and Nil which would represent any uncompleted/unverified top 1s, which are literally impossible as of now (Grief, Aeternus, INJURY, The human limit.) I chose these rankings as there are more extreme demons that span a broad range of difficulty. i see a soulcrushing difficulty equal to an extreme demon. EDIT: just so yall can confirm my credibility im gon say ive beaten 21 extreme demons, spanning the jtoh equivalents of Insane, Extreme, Terrifying, and Cata (my hardest was on the list at the time of completion) and i am currently going for the number 8 demon slaughterhouse.
