Tbh WuWa is really nice but against genshin it has a lacking overworld and it starts to feel repetitive, worldbuilding is in my opinion different to genshin its like i cant chose which one is better so for me in my sense both are equally good, genshins story is really nice and thats the reason why i even play but i cant really talk abt wuwas story cuz im not that far, but wuwas gacha is definetly better and their combat system is literally the best i have seen for a gacha game but i still prefer genshin because of its lore (im a lore heavy person) and because of its varying open world
Wuwa indeed have too many dialouge, and the msq is mid at best, but as a genshin player you have no right to complaint about yapping. it much worse in gensin, and you cant even skip any of it. i remeber often they repeated the same redundant info dump 3 times.
playing wuwa felt so rewarding, its easy to grind 10 pulls, yes and im done with the current story quests, playing the exploration, limited time event, you actually get 10 pulls..genshin however.... even if i finished the new event quests, still not enuf to pull. never returning till snezhnaya
I too stopped playing genshin for wuwa Like I know it's a game and all these trends are going on about "just enjoy the game" but! Wuwa gives more rewards for the time you spend on it ..and tbh the first few days that I played Wuwa I was still grassless, why? Because I was too excited to get those rewards...anyway I'm pretty sure Wuwa also gets alot more popular once they create a black character, like you cant tell me otherwise, if the said black character is good i would main them because kuro listens to the community more than genshin does ..so hopefully...
as someone who started wuwa a while ago, my best advice would be use a healer, Verina(got from the 5star selector) helped me so much in the game and is still very useful later on. she is one of the little healers that is released by now. unless you want to pull for the shorekeeper (who is leaked to be a healer) I would definitely recommend getting Verina
Don't blame you. As former genshin player, I stopped playing after cloud retainer banner and got burnt out combined with behind the scene EN VA drama that stops me from playing with certain characters they voiced including the ones from star rail. Have no regret starting playing wuthering wave ever since PGR
Genshin is fine, I love the character and their story so far. It's just their dev didn't care about the player until WuWa full release that force them to increase resin limit (eventho it's still useless). Genshin gameplay is good, kinda remind me of Botw (i know about the drama backthen, but trust me, I didn't see how it counted as plagiarism). WuWa gave better experience to me and has a very unique battle capabilities. Also they're so humble to their player and a quick response according to player's feedback or problems (in this case, I had a trouble about Tempest Memphis and Tacet Field on Qichi Village for not respawning and when I told them I had this problem, they're fixed it so fast, only takes 3 days!)
Personally I quit genshin because of the lack of skip button. when I started genshin I was in highschool and had plenty of time to spend hours doing quests and sitting through dialogue. I'm an adult now, and i dont have the same amount of free time. WuWa is so much more time friendly, I finished ALL of the quests in a few days, and could focus on my characters and exploration without stressing about 250 quests i couldnt skip through. I can get on and use my waveplates + do dailies without suffering so much time lost. I can get home from work and do everything available to me that day in less than an hour. I cant say the same for genshin.
I quit genshin too ,i actually a bit whale i used to love genshin but after 57ar i don't get the interest anymore.. it's become boring and i stop playing at middle of sumeru quest ,i feel kinda sad to not playing genshin anymore cus i already pay money on that game but now after i try wuwa ,i love it like something fresh and i just realized now that genshin is really" stingy i think they too focus for the profit and not really give the player some enjoyment of playing their game
I don't think Wuwa will kill Genshin. Those two games target different demographics, people, and different tastes. And the games put emphasis on different elements of the game, like Wuwa on it's insanely good/skill based combat, or Genshin on it's exceptional environmental storyotelling, extensive/well crafted lore.
I played genshin since release and there was A LOT more to do in WuWa 1.0 than there was ever in Genshin 1.0 even if there were hella bugs (Genshin had so many too in 1.X btw). Quit Genshin two years ago, and Wuthering has been a breath of fresh air bc it doesn't treat the player like they are stupid.
buddy is so genshin impact addicted that he can't even enjoy a any other gaccha without looking for similarities in it and messes up the gameplay because of it.
Wuwa ruined combat in Genshin for me. When I did Abyss and Imaginarium Theater a few days ago, it felt unresponsive and it was hard to adjust "back" and relearn things again.
Genshin is WuWa’s biggest competitor and they share many similarities, also a massive portion of WuWa’s players have played Genshin or still play it since Genshin popularised anime style gacha in the west. Comparing then is as natural as breathing
Glad to hear, I enjoyed Wuthering Waves for a month before I started feeling like it was just trying to emulate genshin rather than be better. It feels like all the souls clones that try to be like dark souls or elden ring... but focus on the wrong things. If anything, it made me appreciate Genshin more, I finished exploring Fontaine and fell in love with the game yet again, remembering just how much better and rewarding exploring is there, rather than putting down a beacon in WuWa that spoon feeds you with 10-20 chests that you can get in one second. Can't wait for Natlan, glad all the ppl who dislike Genshin's direction have found a new home in WuWa.
You do know you're not forced to put down the beacon right? I usually do a round or two around a section of the map before allowing myself to put down beacons for completion. This is so that I don't ruin exploration for myself but I could see it being useful for people who just want the gems out front. It's not that different from people who just use the interactive map immediately when exploring in Genshin anyways.
Brother, this some hard coping. Lootmapper only shows lone chests, not the other 60% of mob chests, puzzles and secrets in a given zone. You do not get even close to the rewards for exploration in genshin.
