The castle music is so damn good at building tension. Amazing how this game had so many moods, from happy adventure, to scary haunted house to oppressive and dangerous gauntlet of death... its all there.
Man I will always remember playing as a child in the dinner room. The TV was put on a big furniture with a drawer. One day, my father was watching me playing, as a child I lose a lots of lives and you all know that Mario fall off the screen vertically when is beaten right? So, after losing one of those lives, my father stand up and goes to the furniture and opens the drawer saying "It must be plenty of Marios here!". I still laughing today at ny 40's.

Just a constant reminder that, no, we don’t need many “mature” games anymore. Admit it. Being aimed at an older audience isn’t an excuse. It never was. Think about it. Even more so when you realize how they're just as violent, shocking, gory, and disturbing as possible with very hateful disturbing characters that don't deserve to live. Childhood innocence is a key part of our lives, as it helps us stay positive, even in the most dire situations we face in the world. This soundtrack is so catchy and upbeat, but mostly peaceful and serene, which is something more people really need to appreciate. It’s the smaller, simpler things that matter the most.
Got the SNES for Christmas in 1993 when I was 11. Played the living shit out of this game. I was convinced there were 100 stage completions and not just 96, so I kept playing and playing lol.
The Yoshi Egg Rescued music is followed by the opening Castle Clear Demo (the same music you hear when you begin a new game -- "Welcome to Dinosaur Land!" -- before going to the world map screen).
