I have a yamaha fz6 n s2 with 60500 kilometers, exact same sound, the other day i recorded with my phone the sound and was listening to the recording and to this video and it is exactly the same sound, no worries man, it is good, let it tickle for many more miles its alright
My bike fz6n 2008 model getting soo fast hot and fan working normal we changed battery and cant be fixed after we changed thermostat again same problem we have antifreeze enough and it reversing luquit really fast but when we stop at some place it being directly hot likely going to burn so im scaring to ride it anymore then can someone help me on this problem??
the guy in the jersey looks exactly like my mental image of everyone from new hampshire. i’m from texas but the 3 dudes i’ve known from NH looked, talked, and had the same mannerisms as this man. i thought so before i even realized this was in pats country. is he from new hampshire?
it goes away when you pull the clutch in right? after getting the engine warm, rolling to a stop light, throwing it in neutral, and letting go of the clutch results in a gross rattle sound.
Same fckin ticking as my bike. Valves done, timing chane tensioner changed, nothing changed. After the oil change, it's a bit less loud, but still ticking. Drives me crazy...
my radiator over flow is empty, but the bike never went 220F in the past 5k miles of coolant flush. Maybe my mechanic forgot to fill out the radiator overflow?
geeez …I thought I had to return my Fz6. I have my bike for 3 days now… Heard this ticking sound today and was very disappointed. Thank you for the upload. My bike sounds similar. :)
Mine sounds the same (2008 FZ6). Google Yamatick, you'll see a lot of results for fz6, r6 and r1. Should be normal. Can't really hear it with a good helmet or above 4000 revs or going faster then 35mph.
my r1 sounds a bit like that and there s a weird sound looks like from the stator housing and seems to have a bit of draging sound inside the cam chain hounsing too what do you think is ?
some said to me its the cam shift tensioner others said its the fuel injection valves turnin on and off, but its only guess. that noise is anoying me so much I've got to find out what it really is and fix it. If you do any progress please report to me
kadavas1080 you still. Have this bike? I just bought an 07 recently. Where is the coolant stored? How do. I. Know if the Radiator if fill ect. Needing some help Thanks
Honestly I've just kept riding it...doesn't seem to affect the bike at all. Some people have suggested it could be clutch bearings. I may do some poking around in the off-season.
It seems to be fairly normal...some are definitely quieter. Some people have suggested it could be a problem with the clutch bearings. Doesn't seem to affect performance though!
Thanks for the attempt on how to flush the coolant. I think you didn't show some important steps "on Camera". I'm still happy someone at least tried to show the steps.
