Very nostalgic sounds and sights here! An awesome little printer. I remember for some reason it smelt like roasted peanuts when it printed. Must have been the ink chemicals.
That printer sound brings me back a lot of memories from my first PC, an Acer desktop with Windows 95. Printing my school homework with the same HP Deskjet 660c, jeez, I miss those old days!
We had two of these at home, my dad bought the second one after the first one simply stopped working. Me and my sister were children so we used to print a lot of dumb stuff in full color and most of the time there wasn’t ink in the cartridges. After the second one failed, my dad didn’t want to buy another printer for several years.
@@Richi28802 I bought my first "laser" printer made by canon in 2003. I've still got it and it's still going strong. although it's monochrome and I have another color laser printer too. just don't wanna give it up because of memories.
Hi John. The printer use common LPT cable. I was surprised but it worked like plug & play. My motherboard is "msi H110M PRO-VH". Operation system Win10.
@@supermasterPIK with my motherboard I ment above no USB was necessary. I took common LPT cable and put into the LPT input on my computer. It worked immediately 🙂
that moment, when it gets the data, is ready to print, light is blinking, it starts doing the noises, bringing the paper up and in position... only to start cleaning heads 😂 I had one of those 20y ago, this brings back memories... "do I want to print in B/W or do I print in color, mixing black" decisions... :D
Why not make another video of the printer doing a print out after you first switch the printer on and all the way through the process till the printer has finished printing and finished making all of the noise it makes afterwards?
I was a 25 yo student and spent a fortune to get this device. What I didn't know: That I will have to spend another fortune for some spare ink cartridges.
