Awesome job! There are a few buildings around town that I have doing double-duty as well. I placed a small gym in one half of the business building and designated it a gym lot. The other side has an office and business rabbithole rug. I went back and placed the stadium rug in the gym as well because I don't think this world has a stadium building. As for what I own, I have all the EPs and a couple stuff packs. I have quite a bit of store content, but not all of it. I have all the store worlds except Lucky Palms and Aurora Skies I think. I love multi-use lots like this and wish there was a way to make apartments on the upper levels of the commercial buildings that would function like apartments. There are some mods out there that kind of make this possible. You did a great job using the space available. From my experience, you can't plant on a community lot that isn't your own, but you can go to buydebug and place a couple plants in those planters, and sims can harvest them. For me, since I have the Savvy Seller rugs, I'd put them under the tables in the floral shop so sims can purchase the bouquets when they visit the lot. Thanks for the inspo.
Thank you for this overview! I'm currently preparing a save file for Cloverdale to play in the future and I was wondering what objects I was missing since I don't have all the packs.
I know why Chance has been avoiding his "babies". he been listening to the town gossip. they have got in his head that the babies are not his. just tellin' you what I heard around town.🤫
After Graice's 3rd relationship, what's your plan? Do you want her to be single and give up on romance? Maybe she's not that attracted to men? Maybe you could make someone for her? Idk
Love what you did with the place. It's clear the kind of sim who lives there. I expanded the bedroom on mine too. Where you have the kitchen, I created a second bedroom for kids. I put the kitchen where you had the bar, and a dining area where you had the TV room. The sunroom became the living area, and the upstairs was an office and reading nook.
This looks such a good idea! I'm definitely gonna play this save file rotationally. So much drama aa 😂 I can even see the workaholic ambitious diva non comital Sim living at this house 😅😅😅 The house that I furnished, I turn the sun roon into the kitchen, deleted those wall and created a more open space.
great job furnishing this lot! it's so beautiful! I've noticed a pattern in these lots - they're all tiny & look cramped. but still, you did a great job putting all the necessities here & some extra stuff!
I love your enthusiastic reactions like 'OOhhhww' lol My first impression was that it wouldn't be that great but after watching your video I love this island. That kind of proves me.. Don't judge the book by its cover
Cjplays, Really nice job furnishing this house, I still think you could have included at least a small dining table. I don’t think I’ve ever made a house that didn’t include one, and it would be really nice if they had a friend or two coming to visit
This is my favorite world now! I made the Gallagher (UK version) family and moved them into one of the quarter apartment buildings. I’m gonna make the rest of the cast too because this world is perfect for it!!
Also I’d like to add even though I’m late, this world runs really good on my low end PC! I love city worlds but I can hardly ever play in them because it gets so laggy! So this is perfect
its nice to see you have fun in cas, sims 2 is extra.. also love the cas background, it's so good 😭 also i second that bodyshop is great to check out, it really lets you make sims just.. so much more, for better or worse
check out your Cas! 😂 there are face templates you can get which change the game. did you get your colorful skin from berrynooboos? eyebrows is in number 4 category i believe. the eye sliders you’re talking about are in the bodyshop
To get piece of furniture in a different color you either need to paint it or buy a new one to replace the old. I think that logic is the reason behind the change of swatch costing money.
I actually enjoy ugly builds, I find extremely daunting starting building from scratch and ugly builds give me a kernel off of which I can develop my own ideas.
If you wanna mass delete in this game you gotta for example if you wanna delete floor tiles, select a floor tile (doesn't matter which one) and press I think control? Or shift? One of these, I get it mixed up. And drag as you keep on pressing. If you wanna delete walls, select the wall building tool and do the same. Same for fences, wall papers. This trick saved my life. Also, there is a cheat that allows you to snap objects off the grid.
Dude! Sims 2 is hard? Play The Sims 1 with a family, THAT is hard. Seriously though, 2 was a huge improvement over 1. This house I would bet money was auto-roofed. Ah, the TS2 swatches, I remember often going for "statement doors" because I could never find ones that matched. Though, let's be honest, there were some really cool doors and windows. But you found my biggest pet peeve with Sims 4, that Sims 2 had a better swatch system in that you could choose the counter and the counter top, you could choose the bed frame and the covers, heck you could even change the shower curtain!, so could mix and match with them. Someone try to tell me that's not better than 4! Oh, quick tip, you don't have to use the sledgehammer for taking out the floor, just press control and drag it like you're placing the tiles and it will come off, then you don't have to do it one by one. LOL, I was about to type in the cheat code for you. I totally recommend making a "user start up" file so some of those cheats are active all the time, Pleasant Sims has one on her site. Quick warning though, the grill is too close to the house, if it catches fire (this is a The Sims game, that happens) it can and will catch the actual house on fire as well. I'm gonna have to go back to TS2 when I get TS1 finished. Whatever that means.
Soooo this is like one of my hobbies lol I usually turn the horrible maxis mansions in the bin into apartment buildings. If you want a challenge, the Bon Voyage residential bin lots are atrocious. My favorite challenge is to not change the footprint of the house at all to try and work with the weird proportions. It's really interesting, I feel like I can tell you play a lot of 3 because of your build style as I shifted from 3 to 2.
I love renovating in Sims 2. The premade builds are so sad 😂You did a great job! And just like the 45 degree rotate cheat, there's also a quartertile placement and a grid snap (alt placing) cheats. If you plan on doing more Sims 2, look into creating your own Userstartup cheat file to automatically enable cheats or make custom shortcuts for them. It's really easy and so helpful when building.
