that poor truck, that is BADLY over loaded, someone doesn't care about their truck at all, wouldn't take too many such loads before the whole rig is fked
Your gvw isnt 28k Gvw is the truck by itself with no trailer, this number is on trucks door. Likely 19,500 or less. GCVWR is the combined legal weight of the truck and trailer. So for example on a common diesel f550 you need both listed on truck as followed below. if you get stopped by DOT you would be arrested. You cant just raise your registration either. They go by the doors listing. So many people get fined for false registration weight, false truck lettering, and naturally overweight ticket and impound costs Example GVWR 19,500 GCVWR 40,000
Im sure it exceeded non cdl licence weight restrictions yet the outfit was hiring non cdl employees at a lower wage than a cdl driver makes. Who"s liable when an accident happens. The driver naturally,
Carlton should incorporate the controller like Vermeer or bandit because the remote looks like a squarish toy. It would look a lot better if it looked more futuristic.
That chipper is insane...I'm almost in tears watching all that potential lumber and firewood..lol..Have a woodmizer sawmill that makes swamp matts and the boards for pallets...The non usable pieces are sold as cheap firewood by the loader bucket. You have a terrific set-up going on.
Thanks for the video I’m in the market for a new grinder and was dying for a video of the Carlton rc grinder!! Looks awesome and good job with that stump!!!
I've been doing dumpsters on my 550 platform since 2010 and I've found that picking it up is way harder than carrying it....I've been debating between a stella like this one and a swaploader ..getting tired of getting on the ground to hook the cable..
@@tommyw.9424 i couldnt find anyone who had first hand knowledge and real world expérience with the switchngo and the hooks or should i say no one who did and wanted to share their knowledge....All the sellers/ dealers only push their hoist system....I ended up purchasing a stella system like the one in this video and so far so good but i wont commet more than that until a few more months......also on paper this system has the stronger lifting capacity (like i said "on paper") so i went with this style...As for the other manufacturers they would not sell me a unit unless they did the installation ,but i guess they have their reasons for that..
Also the bins are not exactly interchangeable without modifications which i knew before my purchase but anyone in Puerto Rico reading this who makes hooklift bins i need to get 10 of them made and delivered to the barge
Not necessarily. If this gentleman established his DOT number for max weights, then no overweight fines. I know a thing of 2 bout weight limits because I operate class 8 for many years. I’m considering down sizing equipment for a few reasons. 1. The class 8 equipment has gotten more expensive then I’m willing to pay. 2. Been OTR for 10 years and I’m tried of the nonsense big trucks go through. Manly the abuse of time - being compensated for detention from shippers and receivers. 3. I want to be home, shower in my own facilities, sleep in my own bed at night and enjoy a home cooked meals. Still hard work and I’m just about able to make the same amount of money going OTR. The more I research, I’m considered owning a property management service is becoming more attractive.
@@ABC-oo4vm I hear that! I've driven just about every kind of truck there is. Including logging and ice road. Open pit mining and over the road Heavy military recovery vehicles and heavy wreckers. I too know a thing about weight restrictions. And currently DOT inspector.
So when you decided to become a revenue generator did you think we would applaud you? I know you’ll say you did it to help others be safe but that’s a crock of shit and we all know it
@@ABC-oo4vm I'm a third generation Trucking Company owner and anyone with even the slightest amount of Common Sense can tell you when you're picking up a can and it's lifting the front of the truck off the ground you are 99.99% of the time axle over. That's an F550 with a 195 GVW you're coming in at least 13,000 if not a little heavier just cab and Chassis because of the Hoist that can alone weighs another ton by itself would weighs about two thousand pounds per cord that 15 yard can can easily hold two cords loose being that that is big chunks there's a lot of air space so you may not quite be there but the fact that that load is completely towards the back of the truck will guarantee to put you axle over. I have two f550s and F750 a Freightliner and Isuzu hook lift trucks the 550s one is a dump truck one is a Lariat with a pickup body on it used for pulling a fifth wheel camper so I know a little bit about their gvwr's and what they can handle. I sold this business with my dad and retired to Florida the hurricane just hit so I'm starting a new business I have new trucks coming and a whole lot of cans on the way and nothing makes me smile more than the fact that Florida DOT actually Nails these guys with the CDL beaters left and right. These landscapers love to pull nine ton excavators behind dually pickups. And I love to see the dot is finally starting to nail these guys
