Is it possible for the previous version of the game to catch the bottle in the ocean ? I know that these versions are full of bug, but I haven’t managed to catch that bottle. When I go fishing, I sometime « catch » something but there’s nothing. I can catch fish and trash, but not that bottle. Is it impossible ?
You can only catch the bottled message in the ocean during Spring, your fishing rod must be upgraded to mystrile level or better and Leia must have a yellow heart or better. It will not appear unless you meet all those requirements.
I just got back into this game but every time i give her something the affection level gose up but the next day the affection gose down by a lot! Even if its something she really likes like dimonds or wine how do i fix this issue? I cant even get to the 1st hart event
The most common problem when people report this issue is that you might be "littering". You cannot throw any item, like weeds, onto the ground outside of your own farm or you will lose love points and friend points with everyone in town. You should put those items in your inventory and just ship them to get rid of them instead.
This is playing with my heartstrings. I played this game on and off for a couple years while I was starting highschool and Keira was the first girl I married. I only got to know about her because a friend at the time told me "Oh you remember that girl that gives you the sword? You can actually marry her!" I look up for a guide about marrying in this game for the first time and oh boy was I surprised just how convoluted it was. I loved mining in this game, so I took it as a nice and slow challenge I did over the course of a summer. Once I managed to marry her... I was so incredibly sad to see just how little she interacted with the rest of the world. My innocent ass wanted her to just go outside and see hows life outside of the cave. I remember wishing with all my heart and looking for information about how to do what today would be called a mod, but of course a teen like me in 2009 was not going to get very far in that department. I was heart crushed and eventually I dropped the game, which I would pick up in a new save a decade later. What I want to say is this is the one fictional character that has ever make me feel something. After her I just can't take any "bachelorette" in any other game of any kind seriously. The simplicity of her tragedy and the lack of anything about hit me so hard that whenever I see some other marriable character with a sad background I cant help but laugh because it just doesnt hit. And looking for a soundtrack the other day I find your channel and I find out about Harvest Moon DS speedruns, a community so niche I did not think it could exist. And the cherry on top is the profile picture of the chanel and then finding out about this particular video. Thank you so much for what you do, its hearthwarming to see someone keeping the game alive in some capacity. Congrats on your records, I still have to listen to most of your videos but I already love them.
Hi! I just started Harvest Moon DS Cute and I've been trying to execute the QPG glitch using your video. I've been struggling with the timing, do you have any tips?
Thank you for this video and all your videos really! I am working on my first "speedrun" of HMDS for harvest goddess marriage (I have the revised copy), and this glitch was giving me trouble. I had my husband try and he said to flex your bicep really hard and then tap... it actually worked 😂 so theres a tip if some people find themselves impossibly slow. I am also using an emulator to dig through memory locations of the revised version, since I did not see a document with that (mem locations are different per version)
Your speedruns are so fun to watch. I pick up harvest moon DS randomly and its still my favorite game, glitches and all! I'm sorry if this was explained in video, but how is it that you get the cursed tools without leveling all of them? I thought that was a requirement for them to show up
Hello 😊 in HMDS, you don't have to level any tool before the cursed tools are available, they can be found on day 1, which has been demonstrated in a couple TAS speedruns. This was patched in HMDS Cute, and I'm not sure if it was patched in later versions of HMDS, but we are playing with the NA 1.0 version in most speedruns.

oh wow I can't believe it! just a few days ago I found your video of your previous speedrun attempt for this game and have been meaning to comment on it. what a coincidence that you just uploaded another attempt! I've personally been never able to beat harvest moon DS *at all* although the game is very near and dear to my heart, so I was looking for a speedrun out of curiosity to see what it looks like when someone tries to beat it the fastest way possible. your previous attempt was super interesting to watch so I'm looking forward to watching this one as well! :)

THANK YOU. SO. MUCH. I spent so much of my childhood trying to beat this game and never made - I got this glitch on the 2nd and 5th try and now I can finally avenge 8 year old me. You have no idea how happy I am!!! Thank you!!!
im pretty sure the witch princess is marriageable in 1.1. i was able to activate her purple heart event on a NA 1.1 rom. she just doesn't have an event to congratulate you for killing 50 animals (she doesnt show up in the EU version either from what ive heard), so it's easy to miscount your dead animals, or to think the game isn't keeping track
