Thanks man, I think I just used the only one that's on ultimate-guitar tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/the-contortionist/monochrome-pensive-guitar-pro-2343113
This song is from Shrek 2 (2004) and it's played during the scene that involves Shrek and Princess Fiona going on their honeymoon. P.S. I adore the Shrek franchise. It's my favorite movie franchise of all-time.
Sounds great man! Looking at picking up an EVH Wolfgang this year and putting one of these in it. Along with a coil split, I think this could be my Swiss Army Knife guitar!!
I'm a few steps ahead of you. I didn't want to cannibalize my actual expensive Wolfgang, so I got a Harley Benton Fusion II HH w/ Floyd rose I loved the feel and look of even more and modded the crap out of it. First, unless you mod the pickups (which I still don't understand how to) you cannot coil split the EVH Wolfgang Humbuckers (they only have the two wire connector with hot and ground), so I ended up buying the Pariah Pickups Pasadena Red set (they're exact copies of the alnico II bridge and alnico III neck pickup in the $4,000 Eddie Signature Wolfgang) and they have the 4 conductor wires for split and parallel wiring and they're even cheaper than the EVH ones. Btw, to me, they do actually sound awesome in parallel and split, which was kinda a gamble I was unsure of in the beginning before hearing it myself. I'm in love with this guitar so far, and a piezo system done right could only add to it. Tonally, there's no ground I can't cover, and I'm beyond happy. Note, with the pickups, the guitar is on the bright side, but not too harsh. It's bright as in it always cuts through a mix, which is a very very good thing. lots of mids and a fair bit of high end, and to me, it has just enough low end (I run my guitar straight into a distorted amp with no boost or dirt boxes and it sounds just right). Of course there's also the tone knob, which can darken things to taste if need be. Go for it, man, either modding the pickups to do coil or parallel (if you know how to do it) or getting the Pariah copies that have the four conductor wires. It's a killer combo. I'm stuck on this guitar and these pickups for a long time. Part of the reason I'm thinking of making the jump for the piezo system. Cool to hear about people with similar tastes. let me know how it goes.
hi nice cover! beautiful tone! can you please elaborate on how to go about to get that tone? I have been trying since some time but haven't quite got it yet!
Thanks :) It's just a basic clean patch on my axe fx with a bit of delay and a shit ton of reverb haha using the neck pickup on my bareknuckle juggernauts too :)
amazing stuff bro!!! how would you say the graphtech floyd rose bridge compares with an original floyd rose?? should i make the switch to the graphtech bridge or keep the licensed bridge in my jackson and get the graphtech saddles? any advice would be highly appreciated!
+Luke Azariah I've played an original floyd rose but not nearly enough times to be able to give you a decent comparison but I do love the graph tech floyd so all I can really say is that it's a great bridge and the pickups inside are really handy, as for the saddles or full bridge, I guess it just depends on how much you wanna spend and if you want the colours to match up perfectly
I'm WAY late to the punch, but to maybe help others, I would say, unless you just already have a Floyd rose original (or maybe even if so), just get the whole bridge. Two reasons: one, it looks like they spec'd it out to be just like a Floyd Rose original and two, there are pre drilled holes on the bridge plate to run the wires for the piezos (if you just get the saddles, you'll have to drill the holes in the bridge yourself; <this is a story I've heard from people online who've bought the saddles; not the biggest deal if you're good at DIY, but I'd assume get it done in the factory).
