Joseph and Mary conceived a child before the ceremony, that’s socially a problem with no token of virginity. So he was going to send her away secretly, but the angel told him to embrace his wife, that the child has been a blessing from God. It’s not difficult until you go with a no seed from man idea, a DemiGod creation.

Thank you again for this! I can not say how many times I have corrected and testified from love the Fig Tree between Genesis & His Curse of Tree, as well as the Money Changers were blocking non-Jews prayers, connecting and criticizing modern Judaism as so different - now with the Talmud followers such as Zionists will to kill and genocide non-Jews as in Gaza and kill Jews if they get in the way. If I am confused about a Gospel passage, I will often look to you here to enlighten me on at least one likely meaning, such as 'the wicked servant'. Thank you again. God Bless., Steven

THE ROMAN RITE:- We are Called ROMAN CATHOLICS: The Roman Rite bears clear marks of its local origin, (Rome). Wherever it may be used, it is still Roman in the local sense, obviously composed for use in Rome. Our Missal marks the Roman stations, contains the Roman saints in the Canon (See CANON OF THE MASS), honours with special solemnity the Roman Martyrs and Popes. Our feasts are constantly anniversaries of local Roman events, of the dedication of Roman churches All Saints St. Michael Santa Maria ad Nives in Rome etc.. The Collect for Sts. Peter and Paul (29 June) supposes that it is said at Rome the Church which "received the beginnings of her Faith" from these saints is that of Rome, and so on continually. This is quite right and fitting; it agrees with all liturgical history.

You are saved by Faith only not by works lest any man boast....Don't get doctrine from the old Testament the four Gospels or Acts ...Eph. 2:8-9....Works are for building up treasures in Heaven ...The 12 Diciples taught and preached to the Jews only....Don't keep misleading the people ...

You failed to tell your unsuspecting audiences that all these available manuscripts were written after 4th century. 94% of all available 50 000 or more manuscripts were after 4th century. You only find some fragments and sheets of the Greek Gospels before 4th-century. When writings of most of the church fathers of 2nd-century survived, the important proto Orthodox scripture was not preserved before 4th-century. Why? Obviously they rewrote everything with additions and omissions in the 4th century after the establishment of the Nicene Creed in 325AD and destroyed the older manuscripts.

I found Dr. Pitre’s analysis very interesting and I agree with his conclusion that disproves these specific men were actual brothers of Jesus. But, it still does not disprove that Jesus may have had step-brothers from Mary & Joseph. Either way, it remains relatively irrelevant in our relationship with God. I am 75, a lifetime Catholic (previous Alter Boy), but in the last 8-10 years I can say that I am more a Christian than a Catholic. I never miss weekly Mass as I truly believe in the Eucharist’s Divine nature which the Catholic Mass glorifies. My Issue is that the Catholic dialogue continues to focus on what we, as Christians, must do for Salvation…..Pray for Mercy, Pray for Forgiveness, Keep all the Laws, Sacraments and Rituals of Catholic Doctrine, and be vigilant in our ‘works’ in order to please God and gain ‘Eternal Life’. The Bible and all Scripture is the Word of God. But, not all Scripture illustrates the True Plan of Salvation, which was only Revealed to the world after the Death & Resurrection of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ. And only the Epistles of St. Paul provide God’s Plan of Salvation, to the world (Jew & Gentile), which Saul (Paul) received from the Ascended Christ. “For it is by GRACE that we are SAVED through FAITH “ (Eph.2:8). Christians need to give Praise and Thanksgiving for God's unconditional Love, Mercy and Grace. "Without FAITH it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews 11:6) Christ fulfilled all of God’s Promises to the Nation of Israel, except for the Kingdom, because the Nation crucified their Messiah. God will still fulfill his Promise to Israel (Thy Kingdom Come) when the “Fullness of the Gentiles be come in” (Rom.11:25) and Christ returns and “they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matt.24:30). Romans 1:-16-17…”16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4…” 1…. I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, ….2 By which also ye are saved, if ….ye have believed …….3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Romans 15:15-16 …” 15 …….. because of the grace that is given to me of God, 16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost”. 1 Corinthians 1:30..” 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” “IT IS FINISHED”…John 19:30 Sorry for lengthy comment.

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, Purgatory is “a place or condition of temporal punishment for those who, departing this life in God's grace, are not entirely free from venial faults, or have not fully paid the satisfaction due to their transgressions.” To summarize, in Catholic theology Purgatory is a place that a Christian’s soul goes to after death to be cleansed of the sins that had not been fully satisfied during life. Is this doctrine of Purgatory in agreement with the Bible? ……..Purgatory, like many other dogmas is based on a misunderstanding of the nature of Jesus sacrifice. The view that the Mass / Eucharist as a re-presentation of Jesus’ sacrifice fail to understand that Jesus’ once-for-all sacrifice was absolutely and perfectly sufficient (Hebrews 7:27). The view of meritorious works as contributing to salvation due to a failure to recognize that Jesus’ sacrificial payment has no need of additional “contribution” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Similarly, Purgatory cannot be understood as a place of cleansing in preparation for heaven because they do not recognize that because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we are already cleansed, declared righteous, forgiven, redeemed, reconciled, and sanctified. The very idea of Purgatory and the doctrines that are often attached to it (prayer for the dead, indulgences, meritorious works on behalf of the dead, etc.) fail to recognize that Jesus’ death was sufficient to pay the penalty for ALL of our sins. Jesus, who was God incarnate (John 1:1, 14), paid an infinite price for our sin. Jesus died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3). Jesus is the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 2:2). To limit Jesus’ sacrifice to atoning for original sin or sins committed before salvation is an attack on the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. If we must, in order to be saved, pay for, atone for, or suffer because of our sins, then Jesus’ death was not a perfect, complete, and sufficient sacrifice. In summary a TRUE SALVATION essence is not not fully presented and therefore misleading. Blessings. For believers, after death is to be "away from the body and at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23). Notice that this does not say "away from the body, in Purgatory with the cleansing fire." No, because of the perfection, completion, and sufficiency of Jesus' sacrifice, we are immediately in the Lord's presence after death, fully cleansed, free from sin, glorified, perfected, and ultimately sanctified.

A reader of the whole NT can't avoid the many many references that Jesus took all our punishment, bore out eternal hells punishment even, for our sins and completely cleanses us from all sin. 1 John Chpt 1 v 7. Heb 10 v 10, which says we are sanctified once for all refers to Jesus' body sanctifying us on the cross, which is a past event. Why don't RCs accept the glorious liberation from all punishment and torment that Jesus has achieved. ' It is finished ' that is, all punishment for sin we committed. That's the L x B x D of God's love. Believe me,you can't operate properly with the chains of the fear of death and this human idea of purgatory chaining your life. There's no peace. God has freed every believer of torment in this present life and afterwards. We go straight to heaven like the thief. Stephen saw the heavens open just before he died. It is the same for all who believe. This is the experience of being saved by faith alone that Luther had and converted him - it's God's decision and he gives us this freedom from the fear of any punishment because of His righteousness: nothing to do with men deciding we haven't been good enough so we need a dip in purgatory. Don't gamble, be born again and saved once and for all Heb 10 V10 before you die. This question holds eternal gravitas. Wouldn't want to get it wrong on this side of the grave.

I was an ex devout catholic was blind and now can see. If purgatory is real and Biblical then why did Jesus have to go thru savage barbaric beating when you can chant meaningless prayers for those in purgatory and eventually enter Heaven. If purgatory is true and Biblical then Jesus should have said “It is NOT finished.” Purgatory is an insult to the gospel.

The husbands of the woman could have died, like in Marc 12:19-25 half a football team of husbands died. In this case she would also have been isolated, as her community would associate her with the death of... all of her husbands. She'd be reckoned as the cause of their deaths, thus their downfalls. Who would want to associate with a person who 'causes' other people's death? Someone who doesn't enjoy the favor of the Lord, who doesn't 'support' life?
