Hailed by Consequence as “one of the freshest voices coming out of Nashville,” Southern glam rock artist Cody Belew’s music reflects his soulful roots through authentic storytelling and commanding vocals. Cody released his self-titled debut EP in early 2022, earning him a spot in CMT’s coveted “Listen Up” class of 2023, which counts Kacey Musgraves and Thomas Rhett as alumni. May 2023 saw the release of his single “Charlene,” which chronicled his experienced religious trauma as a Southern Baptist within the LGBTQ+ community. Cody gave fans a sneak peak of his debut album in September with the release of its title track “I Did It For Love” and made a splash at the CMT Awards earlier this year. His most recent single, “Horseshoes & Hand Grenades” is a lively disco tune inspired by 1970s country music. I Did It For Love drops this September after a slew of summer live shows for a fan base he’s built with his impassioned vocals, deft songwriting, and undeniable stage presence.

It’s called a peplum, not a scrunch. And it’s been used in couture fashion for centuries as an embellishment. Study up prior to throwing around hallow words like “tacky” and “scrunched.” It just shows your lack of education on the subject, and your narrow use of imagination, frankly.
