LOL. I never did a really good job at promoting this channel. Thanks for the love. I hope to come back and upload more... There's way more footage in my closet than there is on my channel.
@SHUX Files thank you for archiving those great moments of cultural history. I'm looking for the future primitive sound session where cut chemist and z trip absolutely destroy the mad mountain king by apollo 100. Any chance you got that full event filed?
This was just one day after my 15th birthday (shout-out to my fellow ♍ Virgo brothers and sisters!) and when I first started High School in Greenbelt, Maryland right outside of Washington DC. The good ol' days! ❤
Thanks for reminding me. Rob was a solid dude. I remember buying my first mixtape at Beat Nonstop and he was at the counter telling me what's good. I know I shot footage at his memorial party, a bunch of folks were giving him shout outs and I remember I also shot some performances. I was at his funeral too but I don't think I filmed anything there. I'll see if I can upload that memorial footage soon, but if it's only on the tapes and not already digitized on a hard drive then it'll take me a long time before I get to it. RIP Rob One
I never, ever thought that I would see this here video footage! This brings me back to my early high school days. I listen to this battle every day back then. Rahzel’s set was bonkers this night too. If you have footage of that, I will lose my mind!
The real murda mook n loaded lux of battle rap Would love 2 see krsone n kane or Shan lord finesse n percee p mc juice n Supernat And lux n mook do a 2v2 tournament
I was there. I personally felt like Juice won the battle, but when Supernatural ripped the poster off the wall, that was the catalyst that tipped him over. I'm glad I witnessed that legendary night. I was only 16
Juice just wanted it to be about bars, but showmanship is often part of the battle. It's all about what gets the crowd hype. "Because to me, MC means Move the Crowd." - Rakim.
Supernatural is like KRS-1 but on steroids and his showmanship is unmatched, Juice was more of a punchline rapper with slick bars, Nat style is better to hype crowds but when u listen to them freestyle on the wakeup show u can tell Juice rides the beats better and spits effortless hilarious punchlines and Nat relied more on flow and energy.
