My guess was either that or they stopped giving them because of the pandemic and just never changed it back to putting them in rooms. I may be wrong or that might be minehead 😅
I knew the site wasn't worth the price on your drive in past the industrial estate. Have you not tried PARK4NIGHT park ups yet. I've had a campervan for 3 years now. The only sites I will stay on ( when my girlfriend goes ) are haven sites at low season. If you don't have the app then I recommend you do.
We tend to use park4night britstops and searchforsites we also love heaven sites mid week as weekends are higher price and very busy This was a need to stay local site to try but our favourites tend to be the pub stopovers as we don’t have to worry about food and feel safe in the stop over xx thank you for watching 😊❤
Its great to see the half board options, its not cheap so good to see before booking. I stayed recently at Minehead and the food in the restaurants (beachcomber) was awful feozen chicken served cold 😳
Guessing later end of July school holidays 😢 we enjoyed it but did say take grandkids next time 😂 thanks for watching hope you get somewhere we always loved haven when kids was little ❤️
Have you tried the Unicorn hotel at lowdham. It's adjacent the river Trent. You can park directly opposite. Nice walks along the river. Either park opposite the hotel or they allow you to stay at the rear of the hotel for free. ( Just have a meal or some drinks ). I've stayed adjacent the river several times. No issues at all. Also it's just a five minute walk to LOWDHAMS so you can easily spend an hour or more viewing all the campervan and motorhomes. Most are open and you don't get pestered whatsoever
Thanks for watching Dale ❤️ definitely will put the unicorn hotel on our list lowdhams not too far from us and good shout to view the vans too xx we off to Devon soon so will be one for in a few weeks xx
I ordered military pant of Amazon just a selection of colours was around 75 pound for the tin but did all the van rough up the paintwork with sandpaper to create a surface wash dry then roller paint on dries excellent. Thank you for watching
Thanks for the reply. My partner carol is from mablethorpe and knows the kings head very well. It's where her father and grandfather enjoyed many a pint. The haven site in mablethorpe is cheap as chips if you don't go in the school holidays. We recommend THE BECK pub for a carvery. We went last October to the haven site. Mon/Tue/wed off grid less than £20. That includes toilets/showers
Hi crystal. Are you happy that the van you chose is the right van for you. There's no better trial than actually using it in the real world rather than at the dealers ( do you recommend rove motorhomes) has James ( AKA the dumpmeister ): fully tested all the facilities 😂
Hi we would recommend rove they have a good range to fit all budgets not just the 50 plus grand ones but ones the average person can afford the van will be used regularly rather than sat on the drive saving miles. It is the right van for us a side sofa would’ve been nice if you follow our channel nothing is ever perfect for me I like to moan lol.Thank you so much for watching it really does help the channel.
@travelswithcrystalandjames I'm in the West Midlands.l have only known these as batches. Little Trixie is gorgeous x I'm glad I found your vlog. Thanks.
Currently watching this vlog on my TV. As for your U.S.B problem you will solve that with a power bank. The advantage of a power bank is that it's portable. I fitted my own sockets. It's quite easy to do and only minimum DIY skills.bi actually made my own power bank using two 135ah lithium batteries and a 2000w inverter linked to a self fitted solar panel system. It powers my kettle. Sandwich maker air fryer 500w heater etc. I've actually spent 7 nights off grid no problem. Any advice I can give you then just ask. Keep the vlogs coming. Il try cresswell crags soon
I'd recommend you fitting an all in one diesel heater. Trust me they are not hard to do. ( Many installation tutorials on RU-vid). You can run them legally on cheaper red diesel. No need to pay more than £95. Also check prices on haven leisure sites. Especially when not school holidays. You'll pay @ the same for Mon/Fri than you paid for the meal. Believe me I've done it many times.
@@daletinsley2954 not sure we are confident enough to fit one ourselves but will definitely watch some vids and see. Haven sites are great we discovered them when camping with kids when that was little definitely gonna be some to visit (our favourite was always blue dolphin site)
Nice video and you have the same van as us just yours is a bit newer 😂😂 Ours hit 25yo old today but they are solid after a few issues along the way. Enjoy the new to you Motorhome and happy adventures 😊😊
Hi thanks for the message and yes our channel is Weekendmotorhomers as link if you wish to see our video to on our Burstner. youtube.com/@Weekendmotorhomers?si=G3ZzF73ZP5rHGBAz
Yes definitely get a diesel heater. I have a Chinese one. Honestly for the price they're great value for money. I wouldn't go without one as I wild camp and even in summer the nights can get chilly. Combine with window insulation. If not having a fuel tank fed heater and go for an all in one then you can run it on cheaper red diesel. Other than drilling through your van floor ( making sure there's no obstruction underneath) they're an averagely competent DIYer job.
We go to butlins regularly and we dont do food plans as we fussy and its set times. And i totally agree with the lady about not cooking. We always eat onsite im either firehouse, beachcomber or chippy im not cooking when on hoilday😊
I'm go8ng 2 butlins soon I'm so exited I usually go 2 bongos but this is my first time going 2 Skegness and when I was little we went 2 mined and I live in wales we payed 250 for 3 kids 2 adults
How strange. Thought I hadn't seen your vlogs so had a look at the channel and was unsubscribed. Maybe worth asking people to check if it's happened to them.
Financial crisis WHAT FINANCIAL CRISIS!!. I was a caravan enthusiast up to three years ago ( I bought a small campervan so I could avoid site fees by off-grid) so I knew the base prices of most mainstream manufacturers models. so when I see the base prices of the same models now compared to 3/5/7 years ago it baffled me how so many buyers have that amount of expendable income seeing as most people's incomes have dropped by default. i e the cost of living now compared to how little people's incomes have either increased very little or in my case non at all. when I see a caravan at beyond 48k I remember just 4or 5 years ago there was hardly any caravans at this price. Who buys them !!?
How much for a car park, taking rhe piss out of people everywhere & My god how many steps 😮 I'd slide down the rail 😅 i want to see James go in that freezing sea, he said he was 😂😂 have fun guys 🙏🏼🍻
Here here 👍💯 took ours in the 80's, kids really enjoyed it which was the main thing, me however,🙈 but as parents it is what we do, kids happy=parents happy too🎉
