This is a channel dedicated to off grid living, electronics and bush craft. We will deal with other things that seem unrelated at first but tie in with our off grid living experience. We will discuss different ways of prepping for yourself and your family. Not for any specific reason but because you never know what is on the horizon. We will do reviews of a few different outdoor items that we have brought for us to use, However we wont buy things just to review. @@TheOffGridFamily Thanks for the quick response! I wanted to make sure because I intend to use it as a jog wheel for video editing. If it spins past 360' and has a faint notched feedback its an encoder, which is what im looking for.
The same way you'd power the inside with a five volt USB. That said I would not put them outside. I would guess they break almost immediately after rain gets in
Decent little job - great use of your pallet wood. "...structural into-the-floorness..." - Love that! 🤣🤣 I have a couple of pallets here that I was keeping for such a project but sadly that isn't going to happen now. I'm planning to get a van I can live in until I can buy a motorhome so maybe I should take the pallets apart and keep the wood to build a bed or something... 👍

Sorry I'm bad at English Like If i wanna increase my mobile bluetooth range basically like i only want 1 device which can Be Connected to my phone And It increases my phone bluetooth range like if i have bluetooth speaker which can be connected in 30 meters range can we make a device which when connected to phone or Turned on Grabs bluetooth connection of devices from far awaya and give that connection to my phone like more than 100 meters i just need to turn on the device or connect it to my phone the device and my phone is both Close and speaker is 100 meters away and i can still play music in that speaker without attaching any device to that speaker
That's actually very cool. I was expecting it to be pretty rubbish but when I saw the bats flying over and heard the clicking, I was impressed. Shame they went a tad too cheap on the box because a good project box would really improve it, but as you guys say, that's something you can do. Interesting stuff. There's probably an Arduino project out there somewhere. I had a total hard drive failure recently and lost 20 years of work, so I'm taking it easy and getting ready for an upcoming house move, but I will be back in action before too long. Hope all is well.
Oh man I'm sorry. That happened to me a few years ago and it's really hard to get over! I lost 25k designs I'd done over the years etc. if there is anything I can do just say
@@TheOffGridFamily Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that it's all gone. Really sucks, but it is what it is. A head broke and slammed into a platter, from what I can determine. The two platters lost position because the central screw that locks them in place came loose, so even though I bought a head comb and an identical drive as a donor so that I could replace the 4 head unit, I can't read any data. Not sure that I will be able to re-align the platters. Not without expensive software that I have no hope of getting, at least. I will keep the platters and read online to see if there is a possible solution, but I don't have much faith. I think it's all gone forever. Thanks, though, James - I know you would help if you could.
The annoying thing is that I was weeks away from being able to afford a new SSD so that I could transfer everything and retire the drive that broke. What a slap in the face that was!
Great question. Yes I still own it and still use it. I do still like it although it's slightly underpowered these days compared to some others on the market for similar prices.
@@TheOffGridFamily, looks like all saws below £200 have 1800 watt motors. I'm more concerned about the build quality? Does it still cuts at precise angle or you need to adjust?
You can pair them together. Before putting bluetooth on your phone press and hold play on both speakers they will both make a sound then go back to bluetooth pair on to phone and then you will have both speakers working together off one bluetooth. And mine work at a good distance too
The main thing I find annoying with most of these videos? Assuming everyone knows what you're talking about; the fast forwarding of important hookup points, and not explaining why as well as how you make component upgrades.
Probably the humidity around the unit that tarnished the old switch contacts and caused the arcing. I use those illuminated rockers you replaced it with. They are pretty decent.
I’ve had this camera since probably when you first posted this video, but I didn’t have a booklet inside to know what app to go to or anything and so I screenshot the scan sticker on the side and it just takes me to google and doesn’t do anything, but the thing is loud it has talk to me, but I’ve never found an app or a way to view what it films And you didn’t show the booklet or what it was. I would appreciate it. If you could let me know how I can set this up and my iCloud storage is full anyway so I don’t know if this is even gonna work.

I haven't used my filament 3D printer for a while because I also have a high resolution resin 3D printer and I use that almost daily. As a result I have many rolls of filament that just snap in the tube and I had a major job last time I used the printer fishing broken short lengths out of the tube - what a faff, having to strip everything down to get those broken pieces out, only to have it happen again soon after... Back then I didn't realise it was moisture build-up in the filament that was the issue and I wasn't storing it properly with desiccant in a tote with a lid. Still don't have a dehumidifier so I need to get one and dry all the rolls before I use the printer again. I have the Ultimaker 2 plus extended, which at the time was top of the line, but if I do go back to filament I am interested in the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon. The 9K resin unit I have (Elegoo Mats 4 Ultra) does most of what I need a 3D printer for but the bed is small, of course, so it has its limitations. It is nice that driving the moisture out of filament makes a massive difference, though, because I have about twenty rolls sat here that is too brittle to use. Maybe I can make a large dryer just using desiccant and get all the rolls in that to see if I can revive them. Always seems like it will be a tomorrow job because I get so good results from the resin machine, but it will be worth doing.
I have an ok resin printer but I don't use it very often as I much more familiar with the filament one. It took me a long time to realise that filament filled with moisture becomes more brittle it seems counterintuitive! One day I hope to have a decent 3D printer as mine are always very budget. My first one was £150 and my second one was £200. I don't think I'll get to upgrade again for a while but the one I have now is pretty good. I looked at the bamboo labs ones and they look beautiful. Sadly the prices a little too much for me. Perhaps one day in the future. I'm working on a device that will allow you to dry the filament without a dehydrator. So watch this space!

You can use it for high temperature adhesives and waterproofing for concrete. Apparently there are quite a few uses. Although I've only used it for high temperature adhesives
