My name is Kevin and I’m just a guy who likes to learn and try new things. A car enthusiast who likes to explore photography as a hobby.
I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone so what’s a better way than awkwardly documenting what I’m doing for everybody to see. I wanted to have this channel as a way to look back down the line and see how far I grew up with all the things I did and tried. Recording parts of my life than I can look BACK
If you’re interested in my journey or just trying to learn new things like I’m trying, subscribe now so we can go through the headache and struggles together!
installed mine watching your video but still asked the aliexpress person for instructions they sent me a link to your video lmaooo anyway, everything works great but one little thing that I would call a first world problem: if I am using carplay and playing audio/music through carplay my steering wheel controls (nor the main head unit controls) don't work if I use Bluetooth for music, controls works but I don't get audio from the navigation app in carplay lol not a huge deal but wondering if anyone has figured out a setting somewhere
Thank you for watching! As for them sending me my video to you I’m not surprised lol. For the controls, I’ve had some people had same issues. Double check the cables if it’s plugged in all the way and see if it’s the right one. I don’t have that issue
I wanted to follow up on this. on my unit, I was able to go into settings and set up the steering wheel controls for carplay by using "key learning" and setting up previous and next keys accordingly gl!
You say the previous person didn't do the maintenance correct but you are NOT doing it correctly! You are not following the Toyota Service manual at all 🤦🏻♂️🤷♂️. Very simple to find and download the full service manual.
Number 1, find and download the Toyota service manual. That has the correct step on how to do everything you are doing. Once you have the manual you will find you have the engine at TDC and it should be at 60BTC when changing the timing belt. You will also find that there is FIPG that is called for and you didn't use that. You are using a punch to push in the cam seal again you find there is a special tool for that. Simple Google search and you find that you can buy a 3D printed tool or even print your own. My guess is because you aren't following the manual you don't have the vvti gear set correctly and that wasn't shown in the video. If you are going to publish video for other to find them do the repairs correct so others don't have problems
You can also add another foam layer on top of that using a hard cardboard as base. Invent a hook or something to grab and lift the top layer off. Nice job.
Broooo. Can I use a small 3-5 second clip of the vid? I visited the upgarage here in SoCal and wanted just a bit of small footage from the japan one. Ofc I’ll link your channel!
Daytime running lights are white and when turn signaling it goes into sequential amber right? Are you able to change the DRL to a different color and have it stay that color. Looking to see if it can go amber for DRL and amber for sequential turn signal.
I have installed it man! And your turtorial helped me put a lot. I’ve been liking it so far! Just one question, I get no audio coming out in the “andriod system” or whatever it is. For example the downloaded videos that come with it, 😊no audio comes out. Did I plug something wrong? I get Bluetooth audio tho. Just wondering thanks
@nosrekti4366 for this unit it didn’t have wired CarPlay so I just tuck it somewhere. I left the other usb port hidden but I can access it whenever if I need to do anything data related
Can you please give me some advise what to do, i have 2016 lexus IS 300 f sports my factory radio xm cd changer just died on me is it fixable or i need new unit head?
Do you not have any audio or visual on the screen? First you should the fuse or amp to make sure that’s the thing is broken. If those are fine then most like the head unit and only two option is to send the motherboard to get fix or replace the head unit
Can someone work me through??? What wires runs through the side, then all the way up.. please, because the middle of the animation is not working guess am not connecting it right. Please I need someone to help me
I am not finding the link to the equipment - is this something you got from Aliexpress? I've been eyeing some of those, but it's hard to tell if they are any good
@@Kanbo11 It looks like the audio goes thru the Aux jack - how is that? I tried running my phone thru the Aux jack once just to test it out and the audio was super low. I've seen other people complain about the same thing in Lexus forums
😂😂😂 no that’s just me. I had that like 9 years ago and I haven’t and been lazy to change it. Literally I don’t even see or pay attention to it 😂. Every time I say I need to change it I forget
If you are talking about the akebono brake pads then yes in my opinion. They give minimal brake dust compare to OEM but the bite isn't as hard as OEM. I will be using them on all of my cars.
Excited for you bro! Can't wait to see the progress of this build Also I spotted in one of your earlier vids you had a peach emoji on your push/start, I'm trying to get My hands on that 😂
