James blew my mind on this one. One thing it revealed to me is how Gnosticism has infiltrated the church through the hyper-charismatic movement or NAR.
Christianity being intellectualized is at its weakest . It is strongest when faith is tested with trials and temptations. Loved the new movie by epoch studios “ the firing squad.”
Empathy is putting yourself in another's situation.... feeling what they're feeling. And then you can be genuine in your reaction to that situation. Sometimes it's just "being there" and being silent. Sometimes it's crying with them. Sometimes it's holding them and whispering loving/heartfelt words. Sometimes it's praying heartfelt prayers. There's NO judgement. There's NO advice. There's just being there in the moment. Sometimes you sense what they need before they even know.. It's being Jesus' loving arms for someone that needs them... It has NO agenda.
I’d make sure my kid would be the one to check out every book like that in their library and be sure to return my “edited” versions (without reading them).

I'd love to know if Savannah is still the same clout chasing, fame obsessed , immature and catty person? Also, I'm curious if she was the real writer of "be like Candace." The conservative movement is a values based movement. Tpusa faith, you have many people representing your organization who only treat the people they want to impress well. Savannah, if you're reading this, I hope you see that the people you've wronged, whether you've lied to them, lied to get ahead, gossiped about them, dismissed them because they can't do something for you or they aren't at the level you want to be at, you've hurt people and I'd love an apology and so would others. Sorry, but it's just disgusting seeing Savannah up there preaching at everyone when she's a mean girl.
Also, an addendum to my Spot comment: Matt. 10:16-19. No more hippy Jesus lies. Jude’s & Sumeria at the time of the Claudian/Caesar dynasty was a hard place. Jesus carried a rough beam up a hill wearing an uncomfortable hat, and reluctantly got nailed to the thing- - - after getting flogged & mocked. That’s hard. Hippies don’t do stuff like that

I agree with his point, I don't like that he threw in at the end that they were throwing out a black pastor. This topic has nothing to do with the fact that he's black. You can see Caucasian people behind him bobbing their head in agreement, this isn't a race issue.
Rosaria Butterfield has shed light on the word "empathy", that it is a relatively new word that originated in the 60's, about the same time as the rise of feminism. Very telling.
Driscoll is good on the spot but he's no longer a true pastor since he avoided godly council, fled Mars Hill and started a new church without restoration at Mars Hill. PS. I was in his church for years and it was FULL of junior pastors in skinny jeans. Mark was a hipster too but in a different way. IE "Jesus is my homeboy" t-shirt. Just fyi. ❤
I am so glad the pastor of my church speaks out about the cowardly and the wolves in the pulpits. We go book by book and verse by verse, dont write a sermon and twist the Word to suit the message, let the Holy Spirit guide the message by letting it be guided by the Word.
