Hello everyone! Welcome to my new RU-vid channel. My channel will be dedicated to DIY, Concrete & Furniture creating, and anything else that will help around the house. I'll not just talk about specific projects, but also my journey, with the ups and downs.
Hey man!! Thank you for thile help, had the same problem with my dishwasher. It is not the same brand so I had to get a little creative (making a mess in my kitchen on the way). Everything fixed and tidy now before my wife came back so I guess she is not going to kill me just yet. Greetings from Scotland, UK and may we meet for another adventure soon enough👍👍
Thank you so much, it was very helpful and you kept it real. You mentioned the difficultlties you had in solving the problem. So often you watch 'how to fix' videos and everything works like a charm, but in reality it never does. You were real and that was great!
Thanks for this video! Happened to have the same issue and have a Moen and definitely would have had to get professional help without this video. Instead I fixed it myself!
Your video was the first that came up and I followed this exactly and got my replacement parts from Home Depot (apparently MOEN cartridges are covered by lifetime warranty by the way) and the special remover tool. Other than it being hard as hell to remove, this video saved me. Got it done in 1-2 hours including the trip to the store and it’s fixed and also much easier to turn than before. THANK YOU!
Great video! I have an issue that once I turn on the valve, it’s leaking from the back of the handle. I tried to use a hex key to open it but seems like it does not match. I can see the screw head as it’s deep and rusted. Any thought on how to open it? Thanks.
OK, so I replaced my water valve and dishwasher still not filling. Thoughts on other potential causes? I know water is coming to the valve because I have that same leak you saw (need to fix that). Maybe the line that goes into the dishwasher is clogged? Potentially the float switch? Thanks for such a thorough video!
Very detailed. Thank you for step by step. Haven’t tried this yet but will. Tips of what not to do are great. After checking that water is coming through the hose, I will order the valve because my float mechanism seems ok. Again, good job. Thanks!
Previously my dishwasher used to drain some water in the initial few seconds at the start of the cycle, and then it would go through the usual cycle of washing the dishes. Now, it does not drain any water in the initial few seconds but I only hear a humming noise, but afterwards the dishwasher runs the usual cycle of washing the dishes so I know the water inlet valve and the float switch are working fine according to my analysis. There is no water left standing at the bottom of the dishwasher when the cycle is complete so I know that the drain pump is working fine. So what could be the problem that in the initial few seconds I simply hear the humming noise but no water gets drained. Please let me know. Thank you. Samir
Sorry for the delayed response. If you are talking about the black cap after taking the handle off...then I believe you will have a problem. The handle engages the black cap to turn the valve within the stem. Did you solve your problem?
This video saved us from having to call out a professional and shell out a lot more money than we spent to do it ourselves. My first frustration free home repair ever. Thank you for posting this! Not all heroes wear capes.
This video SAVED US!! Thank you so much! I can’t believe we were able to save hundreds by watching this video instead of needing an emergency plumber to come out!
