Looks completely different to my childhood visits from Exeter some 75 years ago. Can't remember these built up structures, walls etc. At my time it was much wilder, just beaches and sand dunes. We still had lots of fun though 😀😀 PS. I left the UK some 50 years ago and now live in Germany
Avoid the chip shop at 4.37. Very overpriced tourist trap with vile chips and dry food (see the trip advisor reviews) you’ll find the plaice. It’s not a great prospect.
Brilliant!! Thank you! We’ve just come home from Dalyan and this is totally nostalgic. Love the slow pace so we can see all our favourite places. Our hotel was up the river walk, and you start with that. Thank you for a great holiday reminder!!
Thank you for this memory. This was our goto holiday resort, twice a year, for WELL over a decade. It hasn't changed much. We last went there in 2014, illness/old age has stopped us from returning 😢. We had tried other parts of Greece but always returned to Lassi, Kefalonia. One year we were unhappy in Skiathos and drove across Greece (via two ferries ) to Kefalonia before returning (after ten days) back to Skiathos to get our flight home.
Stunning you will appreciate the views if your not from the area Locals think the town is boring nothing to do, i grew up here i have a lot of fond memories, it will always have a place for me in my heart i'm 50 now. How time passes enjoy the time you have and make the most of it! love you HAYLE!.
Thanks for this and the night time one! New subscriber. Not sure if you or anyone viewing can help, but how good/bad is Türk Telekom mobile coverage for data around Dalyan? The coverage map doesn't look brilliant, but I'm curious about reality in 2024 - thanks.
