This was one of the bus routes I took to go home from school 40-35 years ago. I would get off in Sherwood at the Metropol, to catch the connecting bus to my home.

Nottingham is a nice city if you compare it to other Midlands cities and towns. In the entire Midlands region (east and west), I'll say only Stratford on Avon, Warwick and a few small towns are better than Nottingham but as a city it is definitely the best city in the Midlands even though it is going through a dire situation at the moment with shops closing
